The bartenders are young and attractive, and if you find a promoter out on the street advertising for this bar, I think you can generally have them go with you and get you a round of free shots. My spouse had a mojito here, I had some bourbon, and my friend ordered Jager with Red Bull. The drinks were pretty strong, and the bartenders are attractive. Keep in mind they're clothed on weekdays ;P When we were out in Chueca again during the weekend, we thought of coming to Lakama again to see what it was like on a non-weekday since we had a good experience the first time, but discovered a long line to get in around 2AM, so went elsewhere.

A few minutes later, the man at the reception entered the bar shouting loudly: "Who were the guys who left the umbrellas at the entrance?" The way this was handled was disrespectful, aggressive, and completely inappropriate. The music and the party practically stopped because of the scene, and we were publicly exposed in a deeply embarrassing and humiliating way. There was no attempt at dialogue whatsoever -- only shouting, intimidation, and public shaming, reflecting ignorance and a total lack of professionalism. The attitude was violent and incompatible with a venue that presents itself as a space for the gay community, where one would expect at least respect, care, and a welcoming environment. We do not recommend this place. There is a clear lack of education, empathy, and basic respect for customers. After all, when it comes to liveliness, there are few places that can compare with a good friendly bar loaded with a mix of gays and straights as well as those of undetermined orientation. It has a young following and though I exceeded the average age of the other patrons by a mere half century, had a good time drinking and chatting with everyone.
