OOOhhhh pricey. I got the 3 slider deal; butcher's way, and I was left just a tad bit famished still. My meal was ~14 bucks so had I added the side which would have filled me up, then it's a 20 dollar meal. Ouch. That said it'd be a good meal. I enjoyed the sliders, tiny as they were. Their food truck at A-Kon 2023 was a "bait and switch" rip off. Most importantly, the prices actually charged were 25%-40%+ higher than published on their menu on the side of the food truck! They had badly hand-written barely-legibly that prices may be higher than listed, but they could have marked out prices and written the higher ones easily, but they are just all about the "bait and switch". Line went quickly and got up to order. Not sure if he is the owner or manager but the guy that took our order was very outgoing and a slight sarcastic chatter back with me. In fun and I enjoyed the bantering. I ordered the Ralph's Reuben Brat and my bride ordered the combo sliders with : Mac'n'Beefy, Mama Mia and Dead Elvis. We split an order of the tots that comes with grilled onions, pulled bbq and cheese. We got our order pretty quick. My sandwich was amazing! The tots were sinful! So many flavors that lit up your palate. There was a mixup with hers and she didn't get her Mama Mia which is the meatball slider. Instead she got the Southern slider but it was scrumptious. I hit Butcher's Son yesterday outside of the hotel when I was attending the Texas Pinball Festival in Frisco. Although I perked up at the sight of that Dead Elvis on the menu, I was really wanting to go savory this time, so I settled on the Panhandle Po'boy, featuring braised beef, Andouille sausage, onion, fresh cilantro and pepper jack cheese on a Brioche bun. I also opted for lime tots with the "secret seasoning" which turned out to be... wait for it... fresh lime. :) The sandwich was sublime, with the bun being fresh and soft, the meat being flavorful but not BBQy sweet and the onion and cilantro making it burst with fresh flavor. There was also, of course, a big hunka juicy sausage sliced in half in there. It all made for a very substantial sandwich. Those crispy tots from my previous review? Still here, big time. No, literally, big. They should offer a "small" size, because the serving you get is enough to send one person into "tot shock". But damn, they are good. Crispy, not too salty, and although I wouldn't have though it, that squeeze of fresh lime adds a great flavor note. If there's a knock at all, the place is getting a little spendy; my sandwich and tots were $13, but they could have easily fed two people, plus it's hard to put a price on quality. read more

Really a solid 3.5 stars, but I'll round up because it was pretty good. I got three of the sliders - Southern Hospitality, Dead Elvis, and their current special, the Bacon Jalapeno Mac-N-Beefy. All three were really good in their own right. The Southern Hospitality was chicken dinner on a bun - fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Yummy. The Dead Elvis was good, but I'd like more Nutella and less peanut butter. The bacon was perfectly crispy. I think they missed the memo on making my beef & mac slider one of the specials because I didn't see or taste any bacon or jalapeno. Shame. It was still good, but I feel it could have been better with those things. Also, I couldn't really taste the mac & cheese at all. I'd eat here again. The meatball was GOOOD and I'd definitely get it again, but I didn't think there other two were anything special (not bad, but nothing to write home about). He responded with anger and derision and said: "I don't know what that means. Does it come with anything. What does that mean?"
