Awesome awesome! A friend and I went in at 8:00 on a Saturday night. All though they were closing in an hour, we received amazing customer service. I was excited to learn that all their meat is ground fresh everyday. The menu boasts some unique burger creations, with a few fancy toppings, it was hard to choose. I went with the Western burger with poutine, and my friend got the Uptown with sweet potato fries. Everything came out hot a fresh. The flavours were great, toppings were awesome, and they even used real cheese curds on the poutine. If you are in the area, give this place a try! read more

IMPORTANT READ FOR THOSE WITH PEANUT ALLERGIES. First I'd like to say that during COVID, I've personally refrained from writing any negative reviews but this is very important not to ignore and not to post. At the top left-hand side of their menu, there is a small paragraph stating that their handcut fries are cooked in peanut oil. For one, I've been to thousands of restaurants and never have I ever heard of a restaurant cook ANYTHING in peanut oil. Second, it is not just their fries that's cooked in peanut oil as they claim on their menu but also various other items. So thankfully, my nephew, who has a nut allergy noticed that "disclaimer." And like anyone who is allergic to peanuts, there came other questions and requests. We asked if they can be sure that other items not come close to the peanut oil or be handled away/separately to avoid contamination. The waitress's response was "I can ask the cook if mayyyybe he can wear gloves but it's not guaranteed??". Whether or not an allergy is of a concern, there is COVID. Even without the current global pandemic, is it not standard practice for the cook to wear gloves when handling food? The more inquiries we asked, the more the waitress sounded as though we were such an inconvenience. Mind you, the patio was empty and only one other table had customers. Because this was literally the only place around where we were, we decided to stay and order the safest items off their menu. Waitress came out twice to first bring out the condiments and then our food and didn't come out after to make sure things were okay especially with the whole peanut concerns. On top of that, she got my cousin's order wrong. The only other time she came to the table was the bring our bill which we never even asked for. Never experienced that ever in all my life eating out. Because she basically came out with the bill without asking us if we wanted anything else, the bill wasn't split which we needed. I personally didn't want to bother with this waitress anymore but my cousin politely still asked to split the bill. Then the waitress asked us what we ordered. Am I being a bit harsh but shouldn't she know exactly what we (a party of 4) have ordered? They were literally all burgers and one sandwich. Now let's get to the food... Handcut Fries - Luckily for 3/4 people, we don't have peanut allergies. I personally enjoyed the fries. Classic BLT - I was surprised to get a "classic BLT" on a burger bun. There was also very little strips of bacon. Thankfully this cost $8.50 but still. Burgers - I didn't have a burger but my nephew said it was good. But when I looked at his burger, I barely saw the patty (he got a 1/4 lbs). My niece and cousin got gluten free buns which was just crumbling. Now, in their (restaurant's) defence, it's probably from somewhere else and not home made. So I'll give them that. Just a shame that for a great spot, beautiful patio and what looks to be the only thing really in the area. Knowing that so many people have peanut allergies, I do hope that Management rethinks this choice of theirs. Not only that but also practice or train their staff to better accommodate their customers. Two visits - Visit #1, Burgers really need improvement. Over cooked, burnt to a crisp and dried out. Enjoyed the rings though, that's reflected in the two stars. Service was slow. Update June 17/21 - Tried their chip truck @ Manitoba & Entrance Dr. Sadly my burger was no better and both our buns were stale. Onion rings still great and fries were OK. Down to one star - two strikes, most likely won't try this place again (both locations). read more

Stopped by after a tour on the Lady Muskoka, and we were glad we did. They have a good selection of ice cream, shakes, their version of a blizzard, etc. Although the ice cream counter can be a little slow! So as their name suggests, they have burgers. I tried one called the Canadian (I think) and it was pretty good. Worth stopping by! read more

My wife and I stopped at this restaurant on our way back to Toronto from Algonquin Park. The food was very good and the ice cream was very good as well. The prices were very reasonable for what we received. I had the Canadian burger, which was excellent. My wife ordered the one with blue cheese and really enjoyed it. There are two reasons I have not given this restaurant 5 stars. First of all the service was very slow. Even though the restaurant was not very busy we helped ourselves to cutlery and menus after waiting at our table for 5 minutes. I still cannot decide if they were just seriously understaffed or if they were negligent. Our eventual server was very pleasant and apologized for the wait. The second reason is the prevalence of flies in the restaurant. From the moment we sat in our booth we had flies all over us and I'm sure we didn't stink THAT badly from our camping trip! Even so I certainly recommend this restaurant. The food made up for the inconvenience and the flies were mostly just a nuisance. read more

In previous years this has been a great burger restaurant. I went for take out 2 days ago and we ended up throwing most in the garbage. They told me 20 minute wait and it took 45. When we got it everything was way overcooked. Full condiments were put on all items even though they never asked what we wanted. My young kids don't like full condiments. The staff seemed indifferent to the delays. I think we are done with this place. read more

Great burgers, not so great ice cream. No 1000 cow burgers. These burgers are ground that day. They have gluten free buns (for an extra $1.50). Fries were crispy and testily fried in peanut oil. Quality, fresh ingredients. Fun extras like pea meal bacon and brie and blue cheese. Many choices. Ice cream (mine was mint chip) was day-glo green and had a weird grainy texture in it and not enough chips by a long shot. read more

Really great burgers. We went there for the first time last summer(2013) just for some fries (which are very good)and then didn't go back until this summer with our 4 kids. This time we all had burgers (5 different ones between us). They are fantastic burgers...the best you'll get in the area in my opinion. I'd probably go there more often but in my opinion they need to get a liquor license....I don't have many burgers (they are a treat for me rather than a regular go to meal) that aren't washed down with a beer. Amazing tasty burgers with great varieties of toppings, the sweet potato fries and sauce that comes with them is amazing. You will end up spending a bit here but it's well worth the money.
