Western burger with poutine (right) Uptown with sweet potato fries (left)

Awesome awesome! A friend and I went in at 8:00 on a Saturday night. All though they were closing in an hour, we received amazing customer service. I was excited to learn that all their meat is ground fresh everyday. The menu boasts some unique burger creations, with a few fancy toppings, it was hard to choose. I went with the Western burger with poutine, and my friend got the Uptown with sweet potato fries. Everything came out hot a fresh. The flavours were great, toppings were awesome, and they even used real cheese curds on the poutine. If you are in the area, give this place a try!

    Great ice cream!

Stopped by after a tour on the Lady Muskoka, and we were glad we did. They have a good selection of ice cream, shakes, their version of a blizzard, etc. Although the ice cream counter can be a little slow! So as their name suggests, they have burgers. I tried one called the Canadian (I think) and it was pretty good. Worth stopping by!

I loved my experience in coming here!…read more The space was lovely, really old school vibe. They had a small bar inside, with seating and a beautiful patio outside. Its in the back of a lane, so its not off the street. Yet, Bracebridge is on the small side so, its pretty easy to find. I believe they also play some local bands. I'd say more about the bathroom being small and them having an ecclectic collection of photos and the like. Yet I do not fully recall all about the ins and outs. Its kinda vague for me. I find its always nice to look at that kinda thing. Makes me have an appreciation for not being the only Collector of the odd. The person that was working the day we went, absolutely phenomenal. He was on the cute side, super friendly and accomodating. I ordered the plant based burger with their in season, warmed beet and chard salad, yet what appeared on my dish was not plant based. I'm not entirely fussy about the juices of the beef or anything. However when I asked him about it, he promptly was willing to have the whole dish redone. He seemed rather appaled that he had made a mistake like that, given he was plant based himself. Perhaps it was me not being assertive enough, or perhaps something was missed when the order was taken, either way immediate action was taken to quickly rectify the situation. And it was awesome! This to me, bespeaks of going above and beyond, which is something I resonate strongly with because I am that type of way myself. Would definitely return.

Awesome spot tucked off the Main Street, well worth a visit!…read moreWarm friendly environment

Topped with fluffy croutons, tender crumbled bacon bits, and Parmesan cheese slivers, it's a simple and classic take on the starter. The prime rib ($44) was surprisingly large for 8oz covered in a well-seasoned crust that was fairly salty, so much so that I wish the restaurant left their gravy (not au jus as the menu describes) on the side. At least there was plenty of horseradish to counteract the saltiness. The buttery mashed potatoes seem to have chunks of the spuds added into the mash giving the side a nice contrast. On the other hand, the asparagus became mush as it's served under the meat, and the Yorkshire pudding was airy but dry. I guess you can't win them all. The Old Station House doesn't take reservations, but fair-weather months offers additional seating along their wrap around porch along with their rustic dining room. Still, I'd recommend visiting early (or much later) to avoid disappointment, especially if you're in the mood for prime rib that's subject to availability.
