We ordered, online, two cheeseburgers, fries and two cokes. This place is about 6 - 7 blocks from our house. Buns were dry, burgers tough - overcooked, fries were not fresh and they were hard & refried, Cokes were getting VERY close to being flat - hardly any effervescence left in it! Our order was just a few dollars over $40.... Definitely not worth the money! On the good side, nice char flavoring on meat but meat was so dry! Husband agreed and he's the one who really wanted to try this place! He pitched half his burger and the fries were very disappointing for him. This place doesn't even make it to our "try again" list! We've ordered the family pack from Burger Rush through DoorDash twice, and both times we've been happy! Their burgers are generously sized and very filling. Their zucchini and onion rings are *chef's kiss*. We're excited to have found a local burger spot we can keep enjoying and supporting. Pricing isn't bad and is comparable to other mom-and-pop places. I was indecisive if I want a burger or a chicken wrap, but I ended up getting the wrap (which you can get in a meal). Overall, I was fine with ordering my food and the wait time. The fries were crispy and hot. The wrap was big and fresh. The food was filling, but the wrap was alright. It comes with lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese and chipotle sauce. The perfect quick drive thru meal on Route 66 does exist. Small but efficient building with really cute retro tile work on the outside. Parking lot has a few shaded spot for you to pull up to and eat from your car. They also have a small shaded outdoor seating area with about 4 tables. Split a breakfast burrito with my brother because we wanted something in our tummies before our drive back to LA. Sausages were plump and juicy, eggs were fluffy and savory, and the hash brown was thick and yummy. The spicy red salsa was just the cherry on top. Meh. My coworkers and I have tried this place twice, and have had their nachos, their bbq and their burgers. The nachos with the steak were kind of gross, as the meat tasted old. The nachos with the chicken were better because the chicken tasted pretty good. The bbq 1 meat and two sides was also forgettable...the tri tip was chewy and hard to cut. The burgers were the worst -- frozen patties and we were unable to finish eating them. The shakes were also tasteless (why was the chocolate so bland??) And the wait time was crazy. The food might be at best mediocre. My wife and I came approximately 08:15pm and waited for about 13 minutes, just to receive our little meal (we order two hot links and a 8oz Mac&cheese). Due to the low lighting it was hard to see the menu. Once we got to the window, it was a different price than what was on the menu. Once we received the order my wife question the lady at the window, about pricing, her response was I'll go outside, right now and look, then slammed the screen. We waited to see if she would come outside. After five minutes nothing. The Mac&Cheese tasted like just warm noodles. The hot links were not any better. I was staying at route 66 for the night and i stumbled upon this restaurant called burger rush across the street from the wigwam motel I was staying at. It was my first time ever trying this restaurant and it was one of the best burgers Ive had in a while. I got the jalapeño pineapple cheeseburger and it was one of the tastiest, juiciest, and flavorful burger i've had in a long time. In addition to the burger, I got jalapeño poppers and fries that were very warm, crispy, and fresh. The service was also great and quick, with no long wait time and kind servers. We ordered a BBQ Bacon Burger, Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, Tri-Tip Sandwich, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, an order of Fried Zuchinni, and 2 orders of Large Fries. The BBQ Bacon Burger, my son lives and dies by, so his review would be a constant excellent! The Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich was delicious and always melting in your mouth good. The Grilled Cheese Sandwich was also a delicious addition to our meal, although my son has yet to meet a grilled cheese sandwich that he doesn't love..... The Tri-Tip Sandwich left a lot to be desired! This is the main reason why I decided to give them a three-star. The sandwich was very hard to chew; you know the kind of chew that you bite into the sandwich and you end up with the whole piece of meat hanging from you month. The Fried Zuchinni tasted like water, we had to add some French Fry Seasoning to add at least some taste to it! And lastly the Fries. I really can't see how a fast-food joint could go wrong on the fries! Overall, except for the Tri-Tip and Zucchini, the food was alright we went based on previous reviews online and really didn't or weren't lucky enough to get the same outcome as previously written. read more
