Completely disappointing. This is twice now that we have ordered 2 burgers to go and they have completely screwed them up. Two burgers that are 2 different sizes even! Apparently those in the kitchen can not read and just slap whatever on the burgers even though your online order had it laid out exactly as you wanted each one. Less than impressed that I just spent $20 on a combo only to eat a bland patty with what little Oh Spicy sauce I was able to salvage out of the mayo drenched bun, pickles, & lettuce, that should not have been on that burger. The other burger that should have had mayo on it, completely dry. If you order something from here online, make sure you open it up to make sure they've got it right before you leave. I have been a frequent costumer of Burger Barn for years, so I will first compliment on the previous visits and how much I have enjoyed the service and food in years past. That being said. My most recent visit was utterly horrible . The employee taking the order spoke a minimum of 3 words and pointed and used jesters instead of talking. That was the first indication something was going to be different this time. The wait was almost an hour for a cheese burger and hot dog combo. The hotdog arrived and looked like pink jerky and the bun was chewy! This was the first bad experience and I will give it a another try, but It will not be for a long time. After about 8 minutes they brought the other couples food. 8 other couples showed up and places their orders "not with us". After 20 more minutes, I masked about our food. The girl said let me go check on it. She never came back. At this point all other couples had their food and as eating. I gave her 10 minutes and went to ask about our order. I have been here twice and been sorely disappointed both times. It is possible I just caught them on bad days, but I really have to wonder why anyone would rate this place four or five stars. Burgers and chicken tenders and fries were only so-so. One order of fries was small, cold, soggy and not even cooked all the way. Staff were surly bordering on rude. If you have never been here you are in for a real treat, the amount of different burgers will boggle the mind. On the menu I counted something like 27 different burgers, and they will prepare them just about any way you want. They have some great side dishes like onion rings, sweet potato fries and regular french fries plus many appetizers to choose from. Great tasting wings and many Mexican dishes, yes they try to take care of everyone. They have loaded baked potatoes, and you will love what they do to their hot dogs. Stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed the burgers here. The menu was pretty extensive with about 20 options for different burgers, chicken, and fish sandwiches. Got the bacon cheeseburger and was satisfied - burger was cut well, bacon was thick and crispy, cheese melted, and veggies tasted fresh. I'm definitely fan of a basic burger done right - no need to get too elaborate with the toppings. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Ordering was an easy process and the staff was very friendly. Only complaint would be the fries - they weren't bad but really nothing special. These could be improved upon to make a perfect spot. This is out of our normal range but wouldn't hesitate to stop next time we're down in the area. Would like to try some of the food aside from the burgers. read more

The burgers are great and they came out very quickly! I had one with sausage in it and it was really filling and the sausage was really good probably my favorite part of the burger. I had a side of onion rings which I shared with my sisters and it was plenty. The onion rings were crunchy and not too greasy so it paired great with the burger. We are new to the area and tried The Burger Barn in Manvel TX. The food was good, I had the #3 and my partner had the Jalapeño burger. We had an order of fries. The best thing is their homemade ranch, downside to that is they charge 99 cents for a small container. Overall just a good burger. No biggie. Second, while the burgers themselves are great, the bacon on their burgers is some of the best I've had -- it's just thick enough to not be overly crispy. The staff is friendly and efficient. Special requests aren't a problem and the orders come out accurate. If I had any constructive criticism for them, it's that the fries are nothing special and taste very reminiscent of some of the frozen food service fries. read more

This joint has been on my hit list for a minute. What better first impression than the day after a bachelor party, right? Once he ate half of his original barn burger, he felt better. Well done. While that happened, I introduced myself to the Barn Brisket Barn Burger. The Brisket and sauce were little on the bland side when it came to flavor, in my modest opinion. It's a solid burger, but just a tad more something would be great. We went with sweet potato fries, onion rings, and fried mushrooms. All were good, solid sides. They have 25 burgers to choose from, in addition to a bunch of other items. This is the worst place I have ever eaten. As picky as I am, I have had 3 burgers in my life time as far as I know. The worst part was that I was 35 weeks pregnant and I was so hungry my husband and I happened to be in the area and he offered for us to eat here. To my greatest surprise, I had diarrhea and abdominal pain that I had to go to emergency room. Ordered a cheeseburger with NO onions. Took a few bites and got a mouthful of onions. I'm allergic. Took it back and a few minutes later they brought the same burger back and had just taken the onions off. I could have taken the onions off myself. They said they couldn't give me another burger until they called the big boss to get permission because I had eaten too much of it. I had eaten about a third of it. We have been going to the one in Rosenberg for awhile and we just happened to be in Manvel today so we decided to try this location out. Not bad. This one is a lot larger. Right off of Hwy 6 it has a huge parking lot. Plenty of parking. Easy in and out. The service was pleasant and fast and the burgers are pretty consistent. I had the Jalapeño burger which is always good! The thing I like about this location is that they have the self serve fountain drink stations out where you can do your own refill. They should do that at the Rosenberg location. My son even said he likes the burgers here better than Smashburger and In and Out. Pretty good tip of the hat I'd say. I'm certainly not a burger connoisseur but these burgers beat all your conventional fast food joints and the pricing is not bad. We love eating here. It gets really busy at lunch time during the week but it's worth the wait.

Staff is masked up and constantly cleaning tables. Ordered a bacon cheddar, husband ordered bbq burger. We both agreed they were excellent. Are only "complaint" was the burgers assembly. They DO NOT skimp on toppings. All of the pickles (about 10 per burger) were on one side of the burger, the sauce was on one side. We had to take it apart to balance out toping but it was minor. The service was pretty fast. The bathroom was a bit nuts. Stalls way too small. Your knees will hit the door, which lock is broken. The faucet is on its way out, needs to be replaced.
