I had been a client of hers for a couple years and followed her from the previous salon she worked at to the private studio at skin fit. I have never missed an appointment or been late not one single time. When I found her online to book with her at her new place we booked directly thru Instagram messages and then cell phone texts. For the last appointment I apparently had scheduled with her I received no text reminders or any notification of an upcoming appointment. She called me 5 min after my appointment time to see where I was. I told her I was unaware that I had an appointment and would try to make it in still but would be about 10 more min to I could get there. She then proceeded to tell me that she was booked and wouldn't be able to take me at that time and would have to reschedule me with charging me a "no show" fee of the full price of the service I didn't even receive. I explained I got no notifications of this appointment and she said it was emailed to me which I never requested to even receive email notifications. The email linked itself when I used my card with her in prior visits. She ended up reducing her price to half of the service since I have never been late or not showed before. On top of all that have even sent clients her way, bought products from her and voted for her on the Best of 405 to help promote her business. She refused to make any exceptions for charging me the fee because apparently it's apart of the agreement when you book thru her site but as stated prior I had NEVER BOOKED THRU HER SITE AND BOOKED WITH HER DIRECTLY so was completely unaware of these fees! Overall for being a loyal client who has tipped good, never missed an appointment or been late means nothing to her. Its understandable to protect yourself and your business when you are self employed, as I am self employed myself, but this shows NO VALUE for her clientele and thinks of you simply as a dollar sign. I paid her the money I felt was completely wrong to charge me and have never been back since. Every waxer I have ever been to has always been understanding of a first time offense and will give you a warning before trying to charge you full price for a service you never received over a simple mistake. Things happen all the time but she cares nothing about that and will charge your card without your approval anyways. I'm not sure how a business is allowed to keep your payment info on file to charge whenever they choose to without your permission but she will so be careful. I recommend you find a waxer who cares more about you and values you as a client because she will not! This mentality is what's wrong with self employed individuals and them thinking themselves and their time is more important than the client. read more
