My keen suggestion is to stay far away from these incompetent, corrupt fools. While the therapist herself has been great, the Center is suspect in any number of ways, not least their deceptive, even fraudulent billing practices. They claim to not have been paid for three years by the insurance carriers I provided them with. And never said anything to me until today. And it seems like they expect to present me with a bill! They don't have anyone that discusses side effects. Called the crisis team, who claims that they have a 24 hotline and crisis out reach services. My son with ASD ran out of my house in a violent crisis, but I was told that all clinicians were busy, so no one would be assisting me. I explained that the police told me to call crisis before I call them whenever possible. The lady on the phone didn't care and basically said "if things get to out of hand call the police." If something should have happened to my son, I would sue them for not providing the services they claim to provide to the community. If you are in need of crisis intervention for you or your loved one, avoid this place like the plague. Sadly, they dominate all of Berkshire county, and that needs to change. As you can see by every other review left here, they have been given the lowest rating possible by all reviewers, starting from 2019 on. I companied my friend to here once. The doctor seems know what he's doing, but the women work there are all kind of idiots and very unfriendly. I don't know why there're only women work in there... Is this a charity for women who can't find job? It seems that these women are not professional at all. They don't even know which room you should go and not helpful at all. They prefer knitting a stupid basket than helping you call the doctor. I thought I was in a convent in Middle Ages. And the office is in a shady building on East St. The office is also very messy. If you are considering the Brein center as a treatment center I highly encourage you to find somewhere else to go. They are not there to support you. Someone close to me is a patient there to see a therapist who is the only good employee there. She always has her patients back and sticks up for them in any way she can. Before she got involved with drugs they were really good to her but once she became an addict everything changed. They don't treat her as a human being anymore only an addict. Only person that was there for her was her therapist. She was in the hospital and needed to speak with someone there about what drugs she could take since she is on a high dose of sublocade and no one got back to her. Doctors, her therapist and herself included left messages and they denied that they ever received any. They left her high and dry while she was in excruciating pain. This very well could have caused a relapse. Being an addict myself I get what comes along with it. You are constantly stigmatized and judged. This patient isn't ok with the stigma that goes along with it and was trying to bring it to the attention of the head of the brien center by emailing her twice and was ignored both times. She was told that she was "too busy". She talked to her provider about this and she downplayed what happened and basically was trying to protect the brien center. Mind you they screen her calls and will never get back to her. I could go on and on about the horrible things they do to their patients but this review would be way to long. Long story short find another treatment center that actually cares about their patients. read more
