It's a pretty small store and the selection is very streamlined, but they only carry high quality products with a prices that matches that quality.

Consignment stores sell items for people and take a percentage of the sale.....so the longer an item sits on display, the price drops as its not generating much interest. They had all sorts of items...from dining room sets, to chairs, to couches, to knick-knacks, pictures, silver coffee/tea sets, etc. Two things caught my eye...a dining room set with 6 chairs, currently listed for $1400, but will be $800 in March. The gentleman working the store saw my interest in the item and pointed out that one of the table legs had been broken and repaired. The repair was almost invisible to my eye, but it was still a great price considering the type of wood used to make the set. It was great he pointed it out, as all sales are Final. The second item to catch my eye were vintage Christmas tree ornaments......$3.50/each. Had I waited until May 2016, they would have been $.88/each, but at $3.50 a piece they were a steal. Picked them up. I heard the salesman tell another client that the original " Of Things Past" carries the more upscale items now - artwork that can be in the $1000's of dollars range, buffet tables (made from mahogany), antiques, etc. Great place to stop and check out items. They dismiss potential customer inquiries all together and do not conduct the necessary follow ups as indicated by the customer. I visited their showroom at the end of 2023 requesting for a writing desk with specific dimensions. As a result, the associate or owner I conversed with insisted he would follow up regularly. All communication ties were cut after my initial visit and made a conscientious effort to stay in touch with them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ORGANIZATION TO THE COMMON CUSTOMER.
