have purchased three bedroom sets from The Brick since 2023, all covered under a 5-year warranty. These sets are only about 2.5 years old, and I am extremely disappointed with how the warranty process has been handled. One bed frame broke, and another set has drawer issues. I contacted warranty, and to their credit, they came out quickly in September. I was told parts were ordered and it would take about 90 days. Almost a month later, I received a call stating that the bed I own has been discontinued, and instead of replacing it, they offered me $117 for the bed. I questioned how a company can sell a warranty on a product they can't properly replace or honor. Since then, I have called numerous times asking to speak with a manager, and oddly, there is never a manager available. I was told today that Raya would call me back still no call. I also followed up on my son's dresser parts, which are well over the 90-day timeline. I was told the parts actually arrived on January 14, meaning they've had them for two weeks with no call or follow-up. When I pointed this out, I explained calmly why I'm frustrated because this entire process has been one delay after another. I purchased full warranty coverage for peace of mind, and instead I've had to chase updates, wait months, and get inconsistent information. I bought complete bedroom sets for my children -- not individual pieces, and I expect the warranty I paid for to be honored properly. Been fighting with them to fix a hole in a couch that was delivered in DECEMBER. They absolutely never pick up the phone. We finally had to storm in to the store and demand to see a manager who "personally guaranteed" to take care of this. We are very busy people so it's hard for us to make it in, but unfortunately we will have to make another trip in. I will never purchase another product from here and strongly encourage everyone else to find another store to do their business at. The sales person Ravneet Chawla was excellent (West Edmonton Mall location) - helpful, honest and not pushy, and for the price, the furniture is beautiful and priced affordably. The bad side: delivery was promised in 3 weeks, but was 6 weeks (excusable under the current post-covid supply issues), however upon delivery, one guy tried to lift the couch on his shoulders while the other guy did not help, causing it to crash/tumble to the pavement. Then they forgot to send out a replacement I requested for a factory-defected chair on the same order - when I contacted them again to inquire, they had forgot and offered only $15 to keep the damaged chair, or to wait up to 120 days aka 4 months to get a replacement part shipped from Vietnam. These issues are all caused because the Brick runs with tight margins and has to keep costs low. Do I recommend The Brick? Well, if you need new furniture and you aren't rich, it's likely one of your only options (Leon's as well). You can get lovely furniture at a great price, but just know that there's a price to saving money. I would recommend and shop there again. read more

Another update and review. I emailed their social media account to inquire about their policy with the 10% difference. I said if I would get additional refund I did not want to go into the store for another time since I did not have faith that your staff would know what to do. They told me it's on my account and when I asked twice how much it would be they did not answer. The responses were very short and curt without a salutation or a name of a person responding. They told me I had to go into the store. I finally had enough and decided to email Dave Freeman, CEO, as it's not difficult to find who is the CEO of an organization and what their email address is. Within an hour or so of me sending that email I received two emails from the leadership team. One indicated that she could process my refund without having to go in the store and she actually told me how much I would be getting back. It took a few days but she made it happen. The other one I spoke with about my experience and he indicated that it was a new manager who would ensure there would be proper training of the policies for their staff. I've heard that before about a new manager and hopefully whoever the manager is he will properly train the staff. I was also told that if I wanted to shop again in the store or any of my family and friends that I would be taken care of. I have no doubt this would be the case with now having the phone numbers and email addresses of the leadership team. It's very unfortunate that I had to experience this and email the CEO to get someone to take action quickly and responsibility for this mess. They should be embarrassed that the wording of the policy is not only confusing for customers but none of their staff know how to interpret it! read more

We purchased a bed in the WEM location and were quite excited about this. We even paid for the removal of the old bed when we arranged for its delivery, and we were given clear instructions to bag it. Well and good. However, the bag does not fit both the mattress and box spring, nor do the drivers carry any extra bags on the truck. Therefore, Brick disposed of half of our bed, and refused to help us with the box spring when we called in. I waited a bit and cooled off. I got a bit further with an associate named Renee this time. We bought the bed from Nicole, whom I had asked to speak with. She wasn't in. Fair enough. I explained my situation as calmly as possible and Renee seemed to understand that disposing half of a bed really doesn't make a whole lot of sense and asked me to wait. I'm on hold for a minute or so, not the end of the world. She comes back and tells me that Nicole was mistaken and that a box spring and mattress removal are two separate costs. Well, a bit lacking in transparency on Nicole's part if that's the case, but fair enough. I was willing to swallow that extra $15.75 if it meant getting a discarded box spring out of my apartment. Still, I made a point to criticize the lack of transparency and identified that this whole misunderstanding was completely preventable and highly inconvenient. Renee validated this. This time it's a call back while she talks to her manager. A few minutes later, she calls me back and tells me that because the delivery is complete, the order number is now closed and they cannot remove the box spring. I say to Renee, that this is wonderful! Now I know who exactly can remove half of an old bed when I buy a new one, and waste my time in the process! Why, the Brick, of course! I hung up. I'd say I'll boycott them, but Leon's owns the Brick anyway. Odds are I won't be pissed off when I'm in the market for a new bed in about 10 years anyway. I am frustrated with the dining room set I purchased at The Brick. I purchased it in December 2021 and it arrived the following February. When it arrived, there was a defect in the table and 4 of the 6 chairs had defects. Three of the 4 chairs have now been replaced, but the dining room table is still not replaced--although they have tried to replace it twice but each time the same defect was present in the replacement. Throughout this process I was very frustrated, but fortunately a young lady by the name of Kayla in the Customer Service Department has been helping me tremendously. Kayla is kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and very patient. Each time she listens to my problems and then does everything within her level of responsibility to help get the problem rectified. Without Kayla's assistance I would be a very dissatisfied customer, but she always gives me hope that the problem will be rectified shortly. She is an excellent example of how a Customer Service Department employee should conduct themselves to assist the customer. I certainly hope that Kayla's superiors recognize her value!! My mom and I needed new mattresses and Ravneet at the Brick West Edm Mall was there to help us out. My mom needed the night to think on this big purchase and in no way did our service level change or were we pressured to buy right then. Luckily both our selected mattresses were in stock and we purchased them the next day. We were also able to pick them up a few days later. It was a really great experience and it was the Birthday Sale weekend so we felt we received fair value for our money...esp because we did not have to wait for shipping. We bought a couch from this brick and I've bought, TV's and beds . So far the only thing worth buying is the TV'S . The first bed had a sink whole in it and they did replace it . We're still waiting to see if something happens to this one . The first couch we bought started to Fray all over !! So they replaced it giving us reselect . We got a totally different couch as the last one was a total peice of shit. Well the second couch was actually worse . I'd take my frayed couch back if i could . This one is structurally falling apart in less the 6 months . The backs of every single piece is broken and couch is clasping in on itself in the back . They said they won't replace this one ! I am beyond disappointment and frustrated with The Brick. They've lost me for good! We ordered and paid for a tv table at the beginning of November. We wanted it to be available on the 22nd, were assured it would be at the store. My husband went there on the 23rd, not there. I called and was told they don't know why they didn't receive it, no answer. Lovely. They ordered it to be at the store the next Tuesday (earliest truck). My husband went again to pick it up. Completely wrapped, we couldn't see it was the wrong colour until it was home. Called, they said they'd reorder and this time, deliver. I called the day it came in, they checked to ensure it was the right colour. The day of delivery, surprise, it was damaged! So again, we have to WAIT. Now today, the FOURTH attempt at getting this table, after I was assured last night by the store, it had been checked. And yet again, DAMAGED! I haven't been able to speak to the store manager because they have 'channels'. Well, the channels don't work! Time for 'management' to stop hiding behind others! And now I'm told the earliest would be next week for the NEXT delivery because Friday is 'full'! MAKE ROOM! I've been put out for TWO WEEKS due to THEIR lack of completing this transaction! Pathetic! We spoke to their supervisor only to find out our sectional is delayed another month. We are now looking at December. We purchased this in July in full. Terrible customer service. I found this review in my drafts and am finally posting it. Sorry for the delay but it was written a couple years ago now. --------------------------- I wish I could give 0 stars... I left the below review a couple years ago and we can consider this a part II of sorts. I've had nothing but issues with this sectional and have had to resort to using the 5yr warranty that I bought with the furniture. Contrary to what the salesman told me, it's an extremely limited warranty and they basically have all the say in determining if they will allow you to use it. On March 5, 2013 a warranty person came to my home to take pictures. He didn't write out a report and wouldn't provide me with and record of findings. I was simply told to wait a week and call the Brick to hear the decision made. Well, it's been 45 days and 5-6 calls later and still nothing of any use has been determined. They have attempted to shirk all responsibility under this warranty and have even gone so far as to call the fading and deteriorating leather "color fade" which they don't feel they should honor. I'm completely exasperated with this process and am doing anything possible to get their attention at this point. Hopefully they read this and respond, but I don't think the odds are good. The Brick has gone and turned a great review into a bitter ending with absolutely no chance I'll ever believe anything they say ever again. My experience began by calling to get information on what I was wanting to buy. When I first called I was asked to call back another day because they were closing in 20 minutes. I called the head office the following day to voice by concerns about being brushed off. I was then put in touch with the District Manager of the Brick Stores. After speaking with him I was assured service I would be satisfied with. I then went into the store. The salesmen I dealt with were Shabby and Ken. Both very attentive and knowledgeable about the product and changed my opinion of customer service. The delivery of my bedroom suite was late being delivered and extremely poor support to find an aprox. delivery time. Getting someone on the phone to discuss this to an unreasonable amount of time. When the product arrived the delivery people told me the installers would take away the cardboard and garbage. This was not true. The installers were excellent. They communicated with me a time and were prompt. They were quick putting things together and very knowledgeable. They have very good quality products which I really like. However I will have to think hard on deciding to use this company again. The frustration I went through on delivery day was more than what I am willing to go through again. The 2 stars were for Ken, Shabby and the installers. If it wasn't for them I would have not given any stars for a rating. If I can't get someone on the phone to help me when I call, it's a service I need to evaluate seriously wether or not I would consider this company again. read more

In August 2018, we bought 4 new Samsung appliances worth about $5600 from the Brick in Peterborough. We also bought the extended 3 year warranties for each. We've had to use the warranty on the fridge 3 times already, but that's another story. This tale is about the double oven Samsung range. The door on this oven will not close completely. It stays open about 1/4 inch, letting all kinds of heat escape when using it. We've had the Bricks warranty company (King and State) to our home 4 times now in the last 5 months installing new parts to try and fix this, but the door is still not closing properly They want to come to my house a 5th time and install yet more parts to try and fix it, but they said the parts are on order and could take another month to come in and there's no guarantee that will fix the problem. I've talked to the Brick store manager about this and she has basically washed her hands of it. She says it's all on the warranty company now. My wife and I are in our 60's and with all the lock-downs, we've been pretty much house bound for the last 1 1/2 years and have had to cook for ourselves quite a bit. But it's pretty hard to cook in an oven that fills the house full of excess heat and sometimes doesn't always cook food thoroughly enough to eat. Since the Brick sold me this warranty you would think that they would have some responsibility towards making this right. I would even meet the Brick part way price wise on a replacement stove (NOT SAMSUNG) But as I said, the Brick manager has said it's all on the warranty company now. I would like to find someone who cares about an extremely unhappy customer's complaint. On January 23, 2021: I paid the entire cost of home appliances for $ 9,200, after communicating electronically with your sales staff in Mississauga. We have agreed on the basis of strict adherence to the delivery dates, and the salesperson there, Nazia, assured me that we have plenty of time and the delivery will definitely be as per my deadline of March 25, 2021. This was my only condition before transferring the money. Worth noting, that the sales employee was very committed she was calling me continuously until the payment is made! On March 1, 2021: One of your warehouse staff, called and informed me that all items are in stock and will be delivered on time, except for freezer! I informed him of my understanding, knowing that we have been assured by your sales representative, Nazia, that all items will be available on time! Anyhow, I informed the warehouse staff that we will not stop at this item and we are ready to receive the rest of the items as provided. On March 8, 2021: The salesperson, Nazia, called me and informed that the freezer won't be there neither the fridge! I was upset about that, and asked her to raise the matter to her supervisor to find a solution. I suggested to provide me with a temporarily refrigerator, regardless of the size or condition, as we cannot live without a refrigerator. She assured me that she would speak to the manager. For two days I tried to contact her, and she was answering me via text messages that the manager is working on a solution. On March 10, 2021: After two days of waiting, a new person introduced himself as the general manager, Nap, called me and offered either to wait or buy other items. (Later discovered that his name is Navid and he is the sales manager) Of course I was upset, because after two days of waiting, he ignored my suggestion about the replacement refrigerator, and offered me the problem as a solution, as waiting is my problem and he asks me to wait, or to choose other items, simple as this! Finally, I agreed with him to select an alternative, but he said this will not be possible at this day, and I have to wait until next day after 12:00, by which the salesperson, Nazia, will call me an provide the alternatives. On March 11, 2021: Up to 4 pm no one called! Accordingly, I called the customer service, Shamata, and asked to cancel the order in response to the lack of communication by the Brick employees. After 1 one hour, I called again, and told them to modify my order instead of cancelling. But Shamata told me that it is already canceled and I have to make the order again. Which we made and concluded to order 4 items only, those are available. On March 12, 2021: The new order issued, provided that the delivery date will be March 25th. On March 24, 2021: I called the Customer Service, Shamata, and informed her that I would like to deliver the items in the afternoon of March 25th, or reschedule for the next day, as probably won't receive my new home key early. She informed me that this was not possible, and therefore I asked her to keep the situation as it is. On March 25, 2021: At half past nine, the delivery staff called and informed that he is in the way to deliver the dryer and the washing machine. I told him that I do not have the key and he can come after twelve in the afternoon. He told me he is committed to a work schedule. At 12 I called him 10 times, no reply. I contacted via the direct chat service, who told me that I could not reschedule until 5 pm, also called the salesperson, Nazia, who told me the same thin. At five o'clock on the same day, I called the customer service, who assured me that the washer and dryer are in Ottawa, and that the earliest delivery date is March 30th. I informed him of my agreement to that. Today, March 26, 2021: I got a call from the customer service center, who told me that the washing machine is not in stock and it is likely to arrive in the second week of April! I told her that there is something wrong, and to double check, as I reschedule the delivery to March 30th, and it has been assured to me that both items are in Ottawa and will be delivered on March 30th. She asked me to wait, to check or find someone to help me in this regard. After waiting more than two minutes, the connection was cut off automatically. So I called back more than 5 times, finally it was answered. I asked to speak from someone in this regard. I was transferred to Shamata, and we had the following conversation: Rasem: I remind you of myself, I had spoken to you two weeks ago, and I was upset, but the matter was settled, provided that the two items available and will be delivered on March 25, but unfortunately I missed the deliver time, and rescheduled for 30 march. Complete load of fresh crap dropped by someone way out of her weight class. Bought an Electrolux stackable washer/dryer combo with manufacturer stacking kit, and installation for $2600 and the $369.95 5 year warranty. Later discovered (due to metal on metal noise) that the installers failed to install the foam buffer strips and only put in the metal holding brackets. Called to get them to send me the $30 kit that I had already paid for and was told over the course of the conversation with Mia Franco Betharte (Operations Manager, Deerfoot Meadows) that: 1. Too much time had passed since it was installed 2. I would have to use my warranty 3. She had no way of knowing who installed the units 4. She had no way of knowing if I was telling her the truth. 5. She could not provide me with her Supervisor's information 6. They installed it with the parts the manufacturer provides to do the install. 7. She would send me a new stacking kit, then rescinded that. I'll respond, in order. 1. The time passed was less than a year and it only came to my attention prior to phoning due to the noise. The problem related to a shortcut on the install of parts I already paid for and had nothing to do with the equipment. 2. It's not a warranty problem, it's a lack of installing what I paid for. 3. That's a Brick problem, not a customer problem. 4. Don't even know where to start with this one. What kind of customer service assumes I'm going to chew up an hour of my workday lying about a $30 part? This really set me off and added an incredible amount of gas to the situation. Seriously? This is how you treat you customers? The very commodity that keeps your doors open, your paycheques coming every two weeks, pays tour mortgage, and provides income so you can buy food and clothes? This was a major asshat comment to make. Just arrogant and ignorant. 5. Pretty sure the Operations Manager of a store isn't the top of the food chain. Tomorrow will find me pounding the CEO and Board members with emails... 6. I am 100% confident this is a bald faced lie. I'll be confirming that Electrolux ships the stacking kit with the parts shown on their website for it...Try using Google to research your response before you drop a load of crap as your final resolution to the problem your employees created. 7. Not sure what happened here. Mia stated she would ship me the parts, I met he in the middle stating I'd install it myself and then she said she would call me back. She called me back alright, to backtrack and tell me that she could only provide the metal brackets...I already have those, and just those...that's what started the problem. It absolutely boggles my mind how this conversation went today. For a $30 part that the Brick messed up, they are imploding a relationship with a prior customer who spend $1000's over the past decade and has decent downstream revenue potential for them. All I can say is a hearty "Adios" and I'm going to go loudly, and deeply, into the supplier relationship between Electrolux and the Brick and make WAY more heat than the $30 warrants... I purchased a bedroom set from The brick in Amherst Nova Scotia. I paid a lot of money for a set i would hope to have the rest of my life. This set is garbage! Nothing more than cardboard (pressboard) crap! I am very unhappy with it. The store is telling me that they won't take it back and refund my money! A lot of Money! I need this resolved! I will bring it back myself if they don't want to come pick up the partial order of the set. Yes partial order. I was still waiting for the headboard and dresser. I was told last Monday that they will deliver the rest last Saturday. The very rude delivery guy only had a mirror and 1 night stand! No dresser or headboard. I saw a vacuum cleaner advertised in the recent flyer of the Brick. I went to take a look at it and even try if they have one on the floor. I walked half of the store and passed by many associates, but none of them acknowledged me. this was my first visit to the store. I searched for the vacuum department myself. after searching all around the department, I thought I will ask for some help and said Hi, to one of the associate who was passing by me and inquired about this vacuum. He searched in his I pad and I showed him the one I was looking for. that day I did not have a ride so I thought I will call another day and find out about it since they had enough in stock. Today I called the same store to find out if they will let me try this vacuum so I can see the suction of it or if they have time frame to return it if I am not satisfied with its performance. I was told, "NO" we don't accept returns". I was shocked. I requested to speak to a manager. I thought may be the manager would know better or would have more authority to let me open and try it in the store. After waiting about 10 minutes, a manager talked to me and he repeated the same thing that they do not accept returns. I believe it is very unprofessional and illogical. Almost any other store allows at least 2 weeks to return any product that the customer is not satisfied with or at least will have one piece on the floor to let customer try it before deciding to purchase it. this attitude shows the product is definitely not a good quality that they don't want customer to try and see nor they accept it back that is why they don't accept a return. in short, I did not experience professionalism and a customer friendly environment at The Brick. read more

Last November 04 I bought a Mattress with frame and everything else in the South Edmonton Store. Until then everything was perfect, everybody nice and very helpful, fast service, they even find a mattress to delivery in less then a week which they said didn't have in stock. Less then 2 weeks after the delivered the the stitching on the bottom of the mattress starts to open, then: I call the customer service - answer - you have to call the store. I call the store - answer - you have to call the serta to fix the mattress. I call the serta - answer - you have to go though the store. After talking with the lady at the store, responsible for customer service she said she would contact serta and ask them to came at my house and fix the mattress. Two weeks later - NOTHING. And I call her a few times between this two weeks and she even said they don't reply her emails. Today I spoke with her and she said they reply her (just today) and ask her for more information, but she don't know when they will reply her back or come to fix the mattress. Shadiest salesman in the business. purchased a dishwasher from there floor model selection. since it was a floor model i purchased the extended warranty as well. they delivered the diswasher to my home and left, after i unwrapped the machine i discovered that there were part missing that were required to hook the thing up, filter, hose connectors, bottom kick plate, receptical box connectors. i called the store and made them aware of what was missing, they apologized and explained that they do not carrey those parts and gave me a number to an appliance store where i could get the parts. they said for me to pay for them 125.00 + tax and they will credit my account. fast forward 1 year and 3 weeks after puchase....(note: manufactur warranty expires after 1 year..no problem right, i got the extended warrenty...worng!. so it just so happened that my dishwaser (Chef collection, Linear drive Water wall technology) was not cleaning the dishes...I called the brick customer service warrenty dept and explained that my dishwasher is not washing properly as the waterwall jet was not moving and that i needed a tech to come out and fix it under warrenty...they told me that i did not have an extended warrenty. after argueing and digging out the recipt and emailing them a copy they still denied me the warrenty service as they said it was refunded to my account????? so if you havent caught what they did here....when i purchased the hoses and missing parts, instead of crediting my account, they refunded the extended warrenty i purchased!!! how is this possible? how is this allowed? they told me anyone can call in and cancell or refund warrenties on an account without signing or confirmation email or any paper trail for that matter.. complete BS, what a rip off S#!THole of a company to deal with...selling junk and taking your money. read more

Too bad I can't give less than 1 star... We had the misfortune of buying several pieces of furniture from The Brick at WEM in May/June this year. The bedroom chest had to be replaced 4 times because it kept arriving already broken, chipped and scratched (we found out they never opened the crate at the store to check it after it arrived from 'China', despite our requests to check it out before arranging the delivery), so we were pretty frustrated overall and decided never to buy from the Brick again. Imagine our surprised when we received a call from one of their female workers a few minutes ago announcing they are ready to deliver our bedroom chest...almost 5 months after the last (and finally acceptable) one was delivered. Needless to say, their paperwork is obviously in shambles. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this place! read more

Bought three bar stools. Made me drive outside the city to pick up. Burnt 30 dollars of gas. Made me wait for one hour. And then gave me the delivery with incomplete parts. Today I got to know Brick charged me twice for the transaction and nownobody is responding me back for the queries. For sure, the worst ever experience. My first and last time with Brick. read more

I placed an order for a couch to have delivered at a extra cost of $95.00. They delivered not a couch but a Futon, nothing like the picture, and now they are telling me that I have to pay the delivery charge. I have talked to 5 different people and no one seems to know what is going on. Why should I have to pay for something, that is nothing like what I ordered? I ordered a 3 seat couch and they sent me a 2 piece Futon? Unreal the service that is provided by these people. read more

I went to the brick in South Edmonton common. Instantly entering the store people keep asking you if you need help, which the first few times you are thinking they are just doing their jobs and after a while of them following you it's annoying. Despite not planning to I bought a couch while I was there. The woman that helped me got me a discount which was nice but after that everything seemed to fall apart. I bought the couch on Sunday and they were going to deliver it on Friday. I get it and it's damaged so I call the customer service number and the woman I talk to says they have to replace the whole couch (I am confused because it is a sectional with only 1 damaged piece but ok...) and the earliest they can get the new couch to me is Tuesday. Ok, fine. The guy comes on Tuesday looks at the damaged piece and says they brought the wrong piece. I was told they were replacing the whole couch, the woman I talked to never even asked which piece was broken. Either way there is nothing the delivery driver can do so I have to call customer service again. I get a guy who puts in an order for the right piece but they can't get it to me until Friday. I asked what the discount would be for just keeping the damaged piece and he told me $75 to $100 in Gift cards. I am never shopping at the brick again so you can keep your gift cards and bring me my couch. If there is anything else wrong come Friday I will be having a chat with a manager. Originally I needed the couch all together before the 21st, which is Friday, but now I have no other choice. Not impressed. Later note: They came to deliver the replacement piece for the second time on the 21st and brought the wrong piece AGAIN. Called customer service again and they said the earliest they could get it out was in Jan.!!! read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! If you are going to special order a product, the Brick will NOT return it!! I purchased a special order item that I waited 6 weeks for. I trusted the sales rep to help me out with dimensions. I gave the rep all my cabinet dimensions and the wall oven specs. The sales rep screwed up my $3500 order and I have no choice but to make my wall oven work. This is now going to cost me because I will be cutting in cabinets to make the oven somehow "fit". It is what it is and now I know to go elsewhere for appliances. This company has lost my business. I would give this company 0 stars if I could. read more

Hello everyone. So I'm normally online submitting reviews for restaurants and hotels and came across a post written about a year ago about The Brick, South Edmonton Common, so I thought I'd write one too. My husband and I just recently bought a second home out in Spruce Grove, so we needed all new furniture. We shopped around but our builder gave us a credit for appliances with The Brick Commercial Center, so we decided to try to keep everything from the same place. Of course, walking into the store we would be bombarded by sales people. Don't get me wrong, I totally get that these people need to hustle, so good on them. We dealt with one guy who would not give up about this sweet deal on a bed. He promised that if we put a deposit down, they would be happy to hold it for us, he said this a bunch of times, and we said no problem. The following week, we went to get the rest of our things: sectional, dining set and other random things. The sales person we had was a very nice man, he gave us very good information and helped us choose some nice stuff. We really weren't asking for any special deals or anything, but they promised big. So anyway, the bad stuff. My husband went there a couple weeks ago to pay everything off and schedule delivery. After paying, we were then told that the bed was not in stock anymore and they were expecting a shipment in a couple weeks. I told the lady that was ridiculous, because if you ask me to pay a deposit, you cannot then tell me that you don't have it. So then they said that they would call a week ahead to schedule the delivery, we had to call them when we noticed they weren't calling us back. Then when my husband called, the associate said that the bed would be in the day after we move. So my husband tried to schedule delivery, the lady was so rude, told him he hadn't paid for delivery and hung up. He called back and she said yes we paid but delivery was not paid. He tried to tell her that we were promised free delivery as part of their selling tool, but she wasn't having it. Tell me how you can promise so much stuff, charge us thousands of dollars, not have what we paid for in stock and then turn around and give attitude. We told them that they could just drop our stuff in the driveway and we will install it ourselves. As for the bed, we will pick it up if we have to, but they are not getting a dime from us. At this point, I just hope my items arrive in good condition. I will no longer be recommending that people go to The Brick. read more

We went in to the WEM Brick store and bought a very high end box and mattress... Also, bought all of the "accessories required" for it to be a lifetime warranty. Even if you wanted the 10 year warranty you had to buy their crazy expensive mattress covers. Salesman said" give it a month before you decide if you like it or not"... Picked it up ourselves which was fine... After about 2 weeks, the mattress started to sag... We aren't overly heavy people, I weigh around 155-160 and my husband weighs 180-185. Went to the store about 2 weeks after that because it kept getting worse. Had to stay home to have someone come in to measure and see how far it was sagging... After 10 years the warranty was for 1.5" sag, after 1 month it was already at 1.25". We had to wait about 8 days to hear back to see if they would honour the warranty. Sure enough it would be replaced as "defective". This is where the Brick comes in. They wanted us to pay $20 for a mattress cover to bring it back. We threw ours out because after all, the warranty was 10+ years. The manager got involved and we didn't have to pay for one. Now, because we picked up and set up the first one, they wouldn't pick up and deliver under the warranty, that would cost us upwards of $80. So we had to pack it up, take it to the warehouse, pick up a new one, drag it in and set it up again. I don't think we should have to lug these all over Edmonton if we've already done it once and obviously the mattress was defective! After all of the money you have to pay for the extras to make the warranty valid, that should be included. BUYER BEWARE. I will not ever buy from them again! Horrible customer service! read more
