Hands down, the best breakfast burrito I've ever had! They call them Brekky Burritos at The Breakfast Joynt. Here's the scoop! I tried The Californian (three perfectly scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, fresh avocado, juicy tomato, and melty mozzarella) all wrapped up in one amazing tortilla. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and totally satisfying. It's hearty without feeling heavy, and you can tell the ingredients are top-notch. I'm salivating just recounting this meal The service was just as amazing. Andrea was the kindest, most bubbly, and caring waitress I've ever had. She made the whole experience feel welcoming and special. You can tell she genuinely enjoys her job, and it really adds to the experience. My husband and I found a breakfast joint new to us. It's a Chicago themed restaurant and from our experience Chicago does restaurants really well. We tried the 2x2 with pancakes that were so tender and flavorful and we added fresh blueberries. We also had a side order of their biscuits and gravy since it's made in house and I must say it's a step up from most places. The hash browns were tasty and the eggs were done perfectly as we asked. I found this place on yelp and based on the menu and proximity to my hotel, I opted to visit. They check all the boxes. The food (chicken fried steak) was amazing. The price was reasonable. The service was impeccable. The owners came out to greet me and shared their story. First, service is horrible. It's busy on a Sunday, but don't they already plan for that? My server could barely look at me. I got a cup of coffee (no water) and never got asked if I wanted a refill. Had to go ask for it. Good put down by someone else, no butter for French toast. Wave someone else down. Never saw my waitress. Except she dropped off the check right in the middle of my meal! The food was fine but the coffee is UNDRINKABLE and I'm not a coffee snob. Then when I looked at the check, she added 3 juices I didn't order. Had to get someone to find her. The wait staff is top notch. A real cut above any chain restaurant at which I've dined. I don't know what the owners do to recruit or pay their staff, maybe the staff are family members or friends of family. But the wait staff are always SUPER friendly and attentive. I felt bad because while we were catching up the waitress tried to take our order a few times and we weren't ready to order - but they were on top of it!! What a great find! I've been searching for brunch spots while my daughter was in a cooking class in Scottsdale and found The Breakfast Joynt via yelp. I'm at SO happy I tried it out and will most definitely be back. The service was outstanding and all the servers were super friendly and quick to check on me throughout my visit. I ordered a regular mimosa and was pleased that it was only $6 a glass with an option for a larger mimosa (mostly champagne) for $11. Most places nowadays charge almost $10 for a single regular mimosa which is becoming a bit ridiculous.... I also had the heart healthy burrito with no asparagus and swapped the mozzarella cheese for feta cheese. They were happy to make the substitution and the flavor was so good! The burrito was a good size and filled with egg whites, spinach, tomato, bell peppers, and cheese. The side of hash browns were quite tasty as well. I love that they had cholula as one of the hot sauce options. I sat at the bar area right in front of the kitchen and was able to see all the other dishes going out. Went here with a buddy of mine for breakfast on a weekday. There was no wait and service was quick. The atmosphere was cute. The layout is modern, bright and airy and the place gets good sunlight from the windows. Perfect for a breakfast spot. I ordered the chicken fried steak which was prepared very well. The gravy was the perfect viscosity and was seasoned well. The steak itself was tender and flavorful and the breading was crispy and slightly shattery- a perfect contrast to the texture of the steak and the gravy. I asked for extra crispy hash browns and was disappointed to find that mine weren't very crispy at all - but they were seasoned very well and though it's not my preferred texture, my hash browns did have a nice satisfying bite to them - almost like al dente pasta. I really love the servers here. They're very attentive and super nice. My issue is with the food. When you pay $20 for breakfast, you expect quality and I just haven't experienced that on a vast majority of my visits. For example, instead of real maple syrup, they offer caramel colored corn syrup. The pancakes are almost always dry. Every time I've ordered blueberry pancakes, the cook tosses a few blueberries on top of the pancakes instead of cooking pancakes with blueberries INSIDE. Even after requesting they be made the traditional way, it still happens. I also don't think you should have to ask for blueberry pancakes to have blueberries inside of them. It's especially frustrating when blueberry pancakes are a $2 up-charge and you're served plain pancakes with 5 blueberries on top. So, even though this place is convenient and I really like the staff, I think I'm done. There are too many other breakfast options that are better and more consistent in terms of quality. read more

Wish I could give 0!! Ordered on Postmates for the first time with this restaurant. I ordered the Irish eggs Benedict and the Cap'n Crunch French toast when it got here, I realized that there was no syrup included for the $13 Cap'n Crunch French toast that I paid for. I also realized that the hash brown order was not big enough for even one person. Another thing I realized is that there wasn't enough hollandaise to cover the whole Benedict. Upset and hungry. I decided to call the restaurant because Postmates gave me an automated message from Postmates saying my order isn't eligible for a refund. I'm explaining my situation to the server and she is basically saying that it's my fault that they didn't include the syrup, she said that there's a spot for "disposable items" that the syrup was included in but I explained to her that Postmates already had that she said that there's a spot for "disposable items" and Postmates already selected it for me. I told her about my other issues and then asked to speak to a manager to see if they can remake it at a later time for me. The manager, Allana, if that's really her name was very defensive from the first word she spoke. Her attitude was basically my hands are tied, and I can't do anything until I told her that I'm also in the service industry and that I would hate to leave a bad review because I really don't like doing that kind of thing, it was not until then that she decided to offer to remake it but it would ONLY work if I could come pick it up in "15 minutes". I explained to her that I'm busy and that I cannot leave the house and she said again basically she can't do anything so she switched from being able to remake it to not being able to do anything. It's this "my hands are tied" behavior that irks me because I'm in the industry and I know... if the customer is unhappy, you do whatever you can to alleviate that. if I were looking to go to this restaurant, I would not go. I would not want to spend my hard earned money there. I was treated very badly by the Manager. And now I'm stuck with a cold Benedict because I've been on the phone for 20 minutes. read more

He was not that familiar with the West side of the valley and looked up the directions so he knew where we were going. The food was perfectly balanced with flavor and wasn't too much of anything. Everything was perfect. We matched each meal with a latte and oat milk, cold brew and oat milk, and two Mama's Mimosa (straight up Prosecco). We also met Sue, who is the Mama and created the drink - she told us, why mess with a perfectly good glass of champagne?! She was honestly such a great light of energy in the whole place.
