Love the location, the history of the place and the quality of the drinks what makes me always come back.

I'll skip the obvious, which people tend to bring up again and again: Yes, this place is expensive. Yes, you will pay $30 for things like fish tacos, or $18 a cocktail at the bar. But this isn't exactly a Holiday Inn and the level of service and sophistication here is unparalleled. Over the years they have done a superb job at transforming this property from just a historical icon into a modern resort that caters to all types of clientele. The crowd: Surprisingly mixed. All type of ages. Young couples. Old retirees. Families. Groups of Friends. Guys on a guys weekend. Girls on a girls weekend. But it's definitely not a retirement home where everyone plays shuffleboard at 10am. The property: Amazing and perfectly maintained at every corner. Multiple pools, including an adults-only pool. Perfect beach and beach chairs with water toys. Multiple indoor and outdoor food options. A great little "shopping mall" with unique options - reasonably-priced and not-so-much. The rooms: We had an extra large remodeled king room. The decor was traditional with a modern twist. The bathroom was very large and very comfortable for two people. The shower and tub were great, accompanied with their signature "Sea Glass" bath products, which are great. Great robes, slippers, beach bags, "COVID sanitization kits" Food and Drink: There's a variety of different options on property, 11 restaurants, I believe. The Seafood Bar's infamous aquarium bar is always delicious, but pricey for a relatively casual place. Flagler Steakhouse at the end of the driveway was superb for dinner. We had the most fun at HMF, which turns in to a busy cocktail bar at night, DJ and all after 10pm - it's most definitely the most hopping place in Palm Beach (which isn't saying much, I know). Their "food truck" menu had a ton of delicious bites. Breakfast outdoors at The Circle was absolutely delicious and service was excellent. Service: As you would expect at The Breakers, everyone was highly attentive and clearly well-trained. Regardless of where we went, the staff was extremely knowledgeable about what they were selling, even down to the girl at the candy shop who could tell us the origins of each of the ice creams and sorbets. Lastly, it should be noted that this was a trip during the COVID pandemic. I would rank The Breakers as being the best experience from a cleanliness and social distancing perspective of all the places I've recently visited, which has included hotels like the Ritz Carlton Naples and JW Marriott Marco Island. read more

I love the Breakers! It's absolutely beautiful and the food is perfect. I'm delighted that they have gf options and their sushi bar is amazing. I've been for lunch, or a romantic dinner, and I've been for girls night out but my favorite is to go around Christmas to see the gorgeous decorations! It's top notch and a local delight for my friends and I. read more

Holy cow, it just doesn't get any better than this when it comes to luxury hotels. Built in 1896 and rebuilt after a fire in 1904, this glamorous stone hotel exudes wealth, power and relaxation by the sea in very expensive style. The rooms are remarkably modern, given the old infrastructure of the building. Food in the onsite restaurants is absolutely superb. Views out toward the ocean are jaw-dropping. You feel like a real robber baron coming back to your mansion. Back when it opened the room rate was $4 (four!) a night but now probably the average rate is $1000 for a garden variety room. This was one of Henry Flagler's railroad resort hotels. That means the amazingly rich could go south to escape winters in Florida on Flagler's railroad. If your last name was Vanderbilt, or on the side of a department store chain, you probably stayed here. The ladies who lunch on Worth Avenue still come. Business meetings here are equally spectacular. I've never experienced the level of remarkably helpful staff with attentive service this hotel offers, at ANY hotel worldwide. It's one-of-a-kind, and remarkable. read more

I come to the Breakers throughout the year but I must say Christmas is a spectacular time to be here. The lights that they put up outside around the hotel as well as inside, along with all the Christmas trees make this place absolutely amazing. I love the Breakers and I've been coming here for years. If you haven't been here you need to put it on your list of places to go. The staff here are well trained, very professional, an absolutely amazing. The rooms are well appointed in the beds very comfortable. It is truly an amazing hotel. read more

This is a one-of-a-kind hotel who could write the book on excellent customer service. The cost of the rooms is worth the experience, everyone in their life should stay here at least once. The moment you pull into the property you know you're safe, it is guarded and entry is only for those who have rooms booked or are on the guest list to visit, you can rest assured your car, valuables, and your family are absolutely safe. Once you're at the front you are treated like royalty and everyone is super helpful to get your stuff on the carts so you're hands free and can focus on checking in, which is a super smooth process and everyone is so lovely to interact with. Once you've checked in they dispatch the bell hop to bring your stuff to you, seriously, the moment you're on property you don't have to worry about much of anything except having a great, relaxing time. The food here, what else can you actually say, its WONDERFUL! You can't go wrong with any of the restaurants on premises and they even have shuttle services to other restaurants in the area should you want to visit those off the Breakers property. Our favorite is the Seafood Bar, get the Parker Rolls, you won't regret the calories. In fact, any of the food you eat will be something you remember the rest of your life. They have pools-a-plenty, super clean, helpful staff, and a great ocean view, you couldn't ask for more. The rooms are beautiful, every little detail has been taken into consideration from the placement of everything in the room, the incredible beds, and the bathroom with great amenities and even a TV in the mirror! Hands down, this is an experience, not a hotel, an true experience of a lifetime, we will be back and you should visit here too. read more

The Breakers - View from our room - Hotels Near Me - Palm Beach, Florida

This entrance is the pinnacle of luxury. What a beautiful ride into the hotel. The pictures do not do it justice. From the moment you walk in you see all the elegance the place has. They have this huge centerpiece of flowers in the lobby that is worthy of an instagram shot. This place isn't cheap so be ready to pony up. The good news is they have it all here and you really don't have to leave the premises to go to the pool or beach. They also have spa's, fitness center, and bball courts. The golf course is expensive but it is immaculate. It looks like the most well manicured course I have seen. The one hang up is rooms are small. They look like rooms on a cruise ship. You can also hear the doors banging when the cleaning crew props the doors in the morning. It is very annoying. The other negative is the wait for breakfast in the atrium. When you pay these prices you don't expect to wait for breakfast. The concierge also "booked" me a taxi to go to the airport but then told me the taxi cancelled when I got outside. They said my best bet would be uber. Not sure when they were planning on telling me that but thank goodness I wasn't in a rush. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and it does feel and look like a top class resort. I will say the service needs to be tightened up a little bit and there are other things (mentioned above) to button up. It is impressive and I would come back but only at the right price. read more

We went to the Breakers for a quick, casual weekday get away and were immediately blown away by the artistic beauty of this giant piece of art! Even though I have frequently stayed in many I would considered as high class hotels with more usual modern feels, this is the first time I feel like I have become a history buff from Europe. It would be impossible for me to describe even a few of the amazing decors from inside the hotel, but my recommendations are to look for the ballrooms, visit the classy dining area, and enjoy the framed photo-paragraph stories about the hotel's founding history etc. Pros: Words cannot even fathom. Cons: Yet to be discovered. Come and see for yourself! read more

My 1000th review and what better way to celebrate this milestone than with a review about a Palm Beach icon, The Breakers! The Breakers. What can I say? It's the epitome of luxury in the heart of Palm Beach. Everything about it screams money and grandeur. No detail is too small; from the gorgeous floral carpet in the lobby to the famous Sunday Brunch they host for $120 in the Circle Room. In addition to rooms and food, they also have a wing full of small boutique sized retail stores so that you can get your shopping fix without leaving the grounds. Everything from resort wear, swimwear, shoes, you name it. They also have a spa and pool area for guests. Valet parking will cost you $30, but if you plan on doing some shopping, they will validate parking with a $30 minimum purchase. read more

Stayed here for five nights. Amazing hotel. Things you may want to know. Cons 1) The in house Tesla car service only chauffeurs guests within a five mile radius of Palm Beach area. It will NOT take you over the bridge to West Palm Beach, the Brightline Station, or to Elisabetta's (where we tried to go). Didn't get to try the Tesla car service since we ended up driving everywhere with our car. The concierge did advise if you book the Premium tickets with Brightline that includes pickup and dropoff via Uber within a 5 mile radius. 2) The valet guys always missed opening up my car door and closing it and we took our car to dinner every night. 3) Some of the restaurants, such as Echo, are closed on Mondays. Pros 1) Filtered water spout in the bathroom to refill your water bottle. Free bottled waters and sodas (?) in the room. We didn't know about the free water and made a pit stop at Publix. 2) Magic buttons in all the umbrellas by the pool and on the beach to place drink orders. The coconut water that comes in a coconut was my favorite. 3) Breakfast every day at the Circle was delicious. I prefer the Circle over the Beach Club Restaurant. The Circle offered more variety and overall experience seemed better. Breakfast at the Beach Club Restaurant entails warding off the birds from eating your breakfast even if you're seated indoors. 4) Beautiful gym that overlooks the water. It opens at 6 AM with a list of classes that start at 7 am. The body sculpt class kicked my butt. The tennis instructors were amazing also. We had so much fun doing drills at the courts. 5) There's a dog meetup west of the beach off the Breaker's private beach property if you decide to take a stroll in the morning. 6) Shuttles to Flagler Steakhouse. 7) They offer turn down service every night where they close the blinds for you and leave chocolate on your bed. Overall, amazing and relaxing stay. 100% would return again. read more

The Breakers - Entry - Hotels Near Me - Palm Beach, Florida

We have visited this hotel once or twice a year for many years. For the most recent visit we got an email three days after we checked out citing damage to the TV. We did not do the damage. The tv was not on when we entered the room, and we did not touch it or turn it on the entire stay. They wouldn't tell me if the damage was visible when the tv was off or only when on. If it was only visible when off we would not have noticed as the tv was not on when we arrived. Maybe someone knew and that is why it wasn't turned on. The room was visited by a bellman (upon our request) and a manager type person who patrols the halls during checkout time on our checkout day. If we were trying to hide damage that WAS visible with the tv off, I wouldn't invite hotel employees in during our departure. I believe the person taking out the rollaway did the damage as it was a tight squeeze. The damage wasn't noted until 3 pm on our day of checkout and we were still at the hotel with bags stored at that time. We were not notified about this with an email/bill three days after checkout. No phone call and the email was sent at the end of day so we couldn't speak anyone until the morning. I wouldn't stay here again without having an inspection upon check out that I would have them sign noting no damage. It's a shame that someone else caused the damage and we were accused. They wouldn't tell me how many people accessed the room between 12 and 3 pm on day of departure. They should have security tapes from the hallway. We received no apology for being falsely accused. read more

From the person who lived in the most luxurious locations in 5 countries, travelled all over the world, I have to say the experience here was SO PATHETIC! I reached out to Siobhan Birge via email about potentially booking my 2025 wedding ceremony and reception at The Breakers. She requested more information for me, and I included my maximum budget amount. At first, I was pleasantly surprised when she emailed me back and said that was great and that someone would call me later that day. I got a prompt call from the Events manager, only to learn that the minimum spend for this venue is over $20,000 more than my maximum budget. I was heartbroken and disappointed, as I originally did not expect this venue to be within my budget, and thanks to Siobhan Birge emailing me to inform me that someone would call, I felt that I was given false information that it would be within my budget. I hope that no other Bride goes through what I went through today. read more

We stopped here for a quick drink ahead of dinner at Buccan and it was the perfect spot. We were given a table right away and everyone in our group raved about their cocktails. I had an extra dirty vodka martini with blue cheese olives and it HIT THE SPOT. It's definitely a "scene" in the large bar area and it was fun to people watch. There were two weddings going on but the service was still great. It's not a cheap drink but was a great way to kick off the evening. read more

Incredible! Palm beach's finest , old school hotel right on the beach. Everything here is to the tens from service to food and bars. I had the opportunity to stay at the Breakers all expense paid for a VIP art auction with Park West Gallery. Driving up along Breakers Row is the stunning old world hotel with red driveway and trees along each side. Simply majestic. Valet parking is $30 and self parking for guests is free. The lobby is decorated like an old Italian or French style castle with decorated ceilings, grand chandeliers, massive ball rooms and wooden panels on the wall. The elevator is old school as well. The rest of the hotel is modern. There are 3 restaurants on location and 2 off site (free shuttle). 2 pools, private beach, sauna, gym, tennis court, spa and shops. Our room was nicely decorated. The bedframe and tv stand (which houses the mini fridge and mini bar) was old but everything else modern including a built in TV into the bathroom mirror !!! The beds are so comfy!!!! The staff is friendly. I enjoyed my stay at the Breakers. The only thing I found odd was the miscommunication. The gallery gave each person $40 each for breakfast and 2 of the restaurants since normally they would have a buffet breakfast but due to COVID.... The restaurants charged the room $36 (they said they had to charge something). When we checked out, the front desk automatically charged my card for $122 knowing that we were part of the VIP event and was allotted money for breakfast. If I hadn't said anything or noticed, the charge would have went thru. They did reverse the charge after I mentioned it. This is not the first time the gallery has held an event at the Breakers. Masks have to be warn while inside the hotel and walking into the restaurants but can be removed while seated. The city had a police officer on site to make sure guests were wearing masks. read more

I mean..... living the dream. The Breakers is iconic but going to an event here is like living a fairy tale.

Deidre at the beach club restaurant is a saint. In all my years of travel, I've never seen someone who has such an eye for attention to detail, is extremely kind, and provides the best service. I don't think I've ever been so excited about service The hotel is of course fantastic, but Deirdre was our highlight. read more

The breakers spa experience is beyond words. I have to give extra praise to Natella who gave me a one of kind experience with her pedicure services. She helped me choose a beautiful color , she was gentle with the clean up of my nails and her pressure was perfect for my massage. A glass of champagne and some chocolate totally rounded out the experience. Also, my aesthetician (whose name I will have to update here) provided the most wonderful facial. I was so relaxed and content I even fell asleep. I will be continuing to return to this establishment EVERY-TIME that I am in Palm Beach. Amazing . 100/10 experience read more

My husband and I have stayed at the Breakers 3 times in less than 2 years. This is my favorite place out of all the places I have been. I recommend the Breakers to everyone I know. An older comment wanted to compare the Breakers to Disney. I love Disney, but I am offended by that comment. The Breakers is the ultimate luxury resort experience. Children hangout at the children's pools, the children areas, and activities centers. There is a place for everyone at any age at the Breakers. This last time we decided to stay at the Flagler Club inside the Breakers. THE BEST DECISION EVER. I usually tell people whatever price it costs to stay at the Breakers, pay it. When you come and experience the Breakers you'll know exactly why the price is what it is. Their service is unmatched. I felt that way before staying in the Flagler Club. But after our last stay, we will ONLY be staying in the Flagler Club. The staff is amazing. They're nice, funny, and will go above and beyond for you. It's a concierge style experience. You're not dealing with all the chaos downstairs. There are a lot of perks in staying at the Flagler Club - you have a driver, they will drive you within a 6 mile radius in their mayback. There are other perks (foods, beverages, snacks, locctaine bath products, clothing press, etc.) If you have a question, or you are on the hunt for something specific, they will go on the mission to get it for you and they are happy to do it. They have an outdoor rooftop lounge and inside lounge you can hangout in. The food, snacks, drinks are top notch. When we come to the Breakers, we usually hangout on the daybeds by the adult pool, or beach. It's peaceful, and feels like a vacation. You will find that there are some people who take the opportunity to "train for the Olympics" in the adult pool, which can be a little tedious to deal with, but we just stick to a side or wait until they're done to use the pool. My only complaint is that there should be designated pool and beach seating/service for Flagler Club guests. HIGHLY Recommend the Flagler Club. read more

This is, without a doubt, the most overrated hotel I have ever stayed at. We checked in to our $1,000/night hotel to find that our view was a view of their roof. We called down to ask that they move us, and someone at the front desk suggested they would look into it and call us back shortly. No callback. The rooms are incredibly dark and the toiletries provided are poor quality. At 8:55 on Saturday morning, we were woken up by a loud banging on our door by the cleaning staff. We asked her to please return later in the day, and at 10:00am we called down to ask that the room be cleaned soon as we were in the wedding occurring that night and wanted to get ready at around 1. At 2:30pm the room had still not been cleaned. The staff has been unhelpful and nasty, the entire place is run down and tacky. I would rather spend the same amount to stay at a Marriott any day of the week. Truly not worth staying here. read more

Simply the best possible way to spend a Sunday in Palm Beach. Upon walking in, we were extremely impressed with the architecture and historical documentation thereof. Also, for those who wish for a Vegas feel, there is a large fountain outside for photos... but I digress. The SERVICE was top notch. There was never a time when we were without a delicious drink... all at one fixed cost (with a Harpist included)! I stayed here for two nights last week for a work offsite. The hotel is beautiful and iconic, what Palm Beach is all about. Pros: - gorgeous hotel and grounds - great service - I received a room upgrade without having to ask. Suite was much more spacious than the regular room I booked. - I liked the ability to text the hotel for any requests (like a virtual concierge)and actually receive a timely response. - fun bar area. Thought it would be dead on a Monday/Tuesday night but it was poppin'! Cons: - without the room block or during high season, the hotel can get pretty pricey, and I'm not sure the rates correspond to the experience. - huge hotel with many rooms and guests. Sometimes, getting an elevator took forever. - the suite I got upgraded to was a bit dated (and looked out onto the roof). read more

SUCH a beautiful hotel! The lobby is breathtaking, and rooms were nice but my favorite has got to be the walk in closet with drawers and lots of hangers - since I'm not a light traveler. The bathroom has my husband's favorite feature - a TV in the mirror. I don't need to watch TV when I'm showering so the idea is a bit lost of me whenever I see TVs in bathrooms... The hotel has it's own private beach which is very secluded and nice, I enjoyed it a great deal when I was out there one day. My husband and I also hung out by one of the pools by one day, and I got a pina colada and it was AWESOME because they gave it to me in a while fresh coconut! I love drinking out of a whole coconut! The staff was very attentive, and considerate. I ordered some stuff to be brought up to the room one evening but I had forgotten that I had hung the "Quiet Please" sign out front so when the gentleman came to the door , instead of ignoring the sign and just knocking, he called the front desk and the front desk called my room. So thoughtful! And I like my room REALLY cold when I sleep at night (something the Mr. hates) - and the AC in the room is out of this world amazing! The room was set at 65 every night we came back from dinner, perfect reason to jump into bed! You can set it to whatever temperature you want- but I notice that whatever temperature we set it at- the maid service will not mess with it. read more

My sister was attending a seminar, so we met her for lunch. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and has a lot of history behind it. We had lunch at the café overlooking one of the pool areas. Of course we were provided with a beautiful view of the ocean as well. We all decided on cheeseburgers and we had the spinach and hummus appetizer. After lunch we decided to relax by the pool. We were greeted immediately by pool attendants who brought us towels rearranged umbrellas and asked if we wanted anything to drink. From the hostess at the restaurant to the pool attendants to the valets, the staff is top notch. All of them were smiling and seemed to generally enjoy making our stay a happy one. Parking is $30. As usual, you can never be disappointed with the Breakers. You can enjoy the premises without staying in , either you pay for the valet (35$) or spend the same amount in food and drinks at the bar / restaurant. We always opt for the latter. Amazing sushi bar, gigantic wine cellar and famcy homemade drinks that will make your palate tingle. The staff is also always nice and caring. There is a cafe in the home decor store and you can enjoy your beverage outside, cozied up in the little courtyard. Always a treat, both for the eyes and the soul. read more

Where do I begin? This has to be the most beautiful hotel/resort that we have ever experience in our 50 years of traveling. We were there for a work convention and in amazement as soon as we arrived. My husband drove down from KY and I flew down for work. it's a short drive from the WestPalm Beach airport. There is a gate to get into the property so it feels very exclusive and secure. As drove our "fancy" Camry up the beautifully palm treed drive we approached the largest fountain I've ever seen with sports cars surrounding the entry way. You definitely notice a difference in cars as you drive around West Palm Beach. The Breakers even has a model S Tesla as a shuttle car that will take you off premises to restaurants and/or shopping! The bellman quickly took our luggage and vehicle so I could go inside and check in. Our room was ready and we were pleasantly surprised to see our beautiful ocean front room. It was worth the group rate we got at $575/night but I wouldn't pay the regular rate of $ 1,140/night. The only negative I would say about the room is that there's no seating on the balcony, standing only. The room was very spacious and had a lot of extras like two refrigerators, one fully stocked. The bathroom is gorgeous with luxury soaps, shampoos, conditions, loofa, etc. There was even a distilled water faucet next to the sink! Now on to the food which was a highlight of our stay. Every meal we had was amazing and the service is even better. They took very good care of our group. We did enjoy Flagler Steakhouse across the street one evening. Even when my husband and I were on our own we noticed how much staff they have here and how attentive they are with every aspect of our stay. We spent the last day at the pool and enjoyed every minute of it. The other thing I'll mention is the golf is simply incredible. I learned that we were playing at Florida's oldest golf course and it was the best maintained course I've ever played on. The fairways and greens were like playing on carpet. I highly recommend this place and will go back on my own when i win the lottery! :) read more

Stunning, elegant, jaw dropping architecture with top of the line service to pair. This hotel has an interesting history and offers club memberships to those who are able to afford it.
