Honestly wanted to give this place a shot and have a large group of 11 people that wanted to eat, watch tv, and a few wanted to shoot pool tonight and then would be back to watch Vikings game in a couple days. I reviewed the website for Break Room and couldn't find any useful info about upcoming events or if a large group needs a reservation (again we're a group of 11). So I called and no one answered. I was going to leave a voicemail and the voicemail isn't even set up so can't leave a voicemail??? Not sure what kind of business has no info on their website, doesn't answer their phone, and also has no voicemail, seemed very odd. So then I found The Break Room on Facebook and sent a message and asked about upcoming events and said no one answered their phone and no voicemail set up. About four minutes later I got a response from the The Break Room Facebook account and Instead of anything useful I got some smart ass response from what I'm guessing is a 16 year old basically making jokes. I hope this is a kid because if this is how the owner acts, WOW this place must be run pretty poorly. So tonight a group of 11 people that would have bought drinks, food, and rented multiple pool tables for at least three hours will take their business somewhere else. Guessing as a group we'd spend around $400 or so and I don't think this loss won't break the business but just seems odd they would work so hard to drive customers AWAY, guessing this isn't a good long term business model and will result in them closing their doors sooner than later. Also looking at other reviews of this place seems there ARE MULTIPLE ONE STAR REVIEWS last few months and good reviews are from years ago. read more

I want to say I have went to the break room for 9 years. Great service. Wonderful staff. It is a friendly place to meet new people and if you like pool it's got the best tables and the price is great. And if you want to learn how to play pool there is a great people that will teach you for free... read more

find it weird that like every bar, the bartender with glasses only ID's women. I came with my husband who I am older than and she ID'd me and not him lol. do better. both 27, stop letting men who have beards not get ID'd I'd you're gunna ID the woman he's with. very odd culture we live in lol. read more

I went to the BrakeRoom Oct 10 2018 the bartender were great nice and friendly played some pool it was so fun there I definitely will be going back there again that's for sure great Drink prices to .I even told my co- workers about it it was so clean in there to I would I would recommend it to everyone and anyone to go there if your looking for a good time read more

Was visiting friends and decided to give this place a shot. This was a place beset upon by at least 30 people, drinking and playing board games and billiards I tried my hand at billiards tonight, something I hadn't done in at least a decade. I approach the table with supreme confidence, having played this game every weekend during most of my teenage years. At first I was impressive, hitting balls at a fast pace with extreme precision, reminiscent of a pool shark you might've seen on the teevee or even in person. It wasn't long before that shine wore off, exposing my amateurish skillset. I imagine this is how some others felt in the room too. Damm it, I wasn't any good. As a matter of fact, it was a disgraceful display of adult athleticism. I looked like a damned blogger out there, hitting and missing -- knocking balls off the table in front of an audience of cynical faces. I honestly don't know how to feel about this place or the whole pool experience. Hopefully I'll try again later for a better review. read more

Went to the TBR one evening with my buddy to go play some pool and for a change of scenery from the usual drinking spots we hang at. There was a live band and a lot of people in their but we didn't have a problem finding an open table nor getting service at the bar. The bartenders didn't seem all to friendly but they seemed busy and were prompt so I can't complain too much. The band was a 70s 80s cover band, they were alright. The crowd seemed to like them. The people who come here seem to be mostly middle aged and older. There was a few sketchy looking characters there even one who was walking around eye balling all the girls in he place including one of our friends we met there. The pool tables require tokens to play which is bogus because quarters are better. Nobody likes tokens because it ties you to that place if you don't use them all. Overall, this was an alright place with a little saltier crowd. Definitely not your college bar or tourist bar. It has character and was not bad. I'm sure I'll be back in the future. read more

I love coming here. The only pool hall in town and they keep the tables so clean! I love the bartenders as well. But, there's one bald guy who works there who always stays after his shifts and he gets wasted and just screams for hours lol. Like, I get it to an extent... but, man. That's annoying read more

Typical towny pool hall. We came here during the college off season so I'm not sure how the atmosphere differs when there are more college kids in town. When we went it was mostly middle aged guys which ended up being ok. Lots of cat calls, but we aren't the easily offended type. A lot of the "regulars" there were kind and helpful as we didn't know how to get started. They have a few food options and a full bar. Once we were there all the tables were full so the next couple groups had to wait for a table to become available. We had a good time! read more

Went in last night for free pool, didnt know that was going on till I had already put money into play. Signs would have been nice. Ive came here alot in the past and had good times. The bartender this time was one of the worst ive seen in this town. Should not have been left alone to work, very unorganized spent the whole time overwhelmed. Took me 15 to min to order a glass of water. Got skipped over at least 5 times. read more

Usually love the breakroom. They offer free rides (which we always tip $5-$10). On 2/24/17 we called for a ride and the guy was pleasantly nice and explained he would be about a half hour. 45 minutes pass, and I call back and he says he's sorry he forgot about us, but would come within 10-15 min since he forgot. Another half hour passes and I call back and he begins yelling "I will just drop everything I'm doing right now and come and get you guys. Is that what you want me to do!? I told you I was coming and I have a bunch of people calling me for rides" blah blah. He was YELLING. I allowed him to finish until I politely said never mind and that we had a ride.
