Had to call again last night on my way home from Boston, at the end of the day(5 or so), because I cracked a tooth. The office was closed so I left a message to hopefully get in over the next few days. The office manager called me back within 15 minutes..... no appointments available the next two days, but Dr. Chen would come into the office that night to see me at 6:45 if that worked for me. Seriously, does anyone provide that type of service anymore? On top of that I have serious anxiety at the dentist and the entire staff has always been very caring and kind. The dentist I see when I am in Florida even commented on how good the work was that he had done on my teeth. My husband needed a crown and the doctor is so particular that he sent the crown back to be remade since it wasn't up to his standards. Because of his kind and quiet manner I wouldn't hesitate to bring children to his practice. We are parents in the medical and dental fields, and we were having a problem deciding on an…read moreorthodontist for our child who has some difficult and major orthodontic problems. We had had consulted and discussed our child's case with more orthodontists than we anticipated, and received conflicting treatment plans. Not expecting a resolution, we acted on a recommendation to see Drs. Chan and Chen. These are our experience: 1. They had a busy schedule, but Dr. Chen stayed after hours to see us. She spent more than an hour explaining her findings and recommendations. To use our child's favor phrase "Who does that?" We are health care providers, so we know that this is one hallmark of a doctor who truly cares. 2. Dr. Chen is super knowledgeable. By now we have read volumes of orthodontic textbooks and articles. We have no clinical experiences in orthodontics, but we know much more about orthodontics than maybe the average parent. Dr. Chen's findings were consistent with what we understood about our child's problems and more. Her recommendations were detailed and addressed all of our concerns. Her treatment details not only agreed with the textbooks and research findings, in areas where there were controversies Dr. Chen was able to offer very sincere and clear recommendations. She was not dogmatic about her recommendations but able to offer clear explanations and good alternatives. Orthodontics is very much an art as much as it is a science, and Dr. Chen excels in both. She also offered her experiences in treating her own son about the very same problems as our child had. How reassuring is that? 3. The stuff, from Teri at the front desk to Tori the assistant, were super friendly and helpful. Our child is shy, and they made her feel comfortable throughout her appointments. 4. The office is clean, professional, and parking is easy. We drive a long distance to see Dr. Chen. We decided that she was our child's orthodontist and was worth the extra driving. 5. The practice uses advanced technologies. For example, the xray is digital. Radiation exposure is a concern for us, and digital xray has low radiation. Dr. Chen was so accommodating. She didn't mind using the xrays we got from another office to lessen the radiation exposure to our child. They use digital impression to scan their patients' teeth instead the old fashion impressions. This allows more accurate impressions and comfort for their patients. I could go on and on about how wonderful this office and Dr. Chen are. We are looking forward to getting the best orthodontic results for our child with Dr. Ivy Chen. I will update our experience, and everything so far tells us that we will have more wonderful things to say about this orthodontic practice. We are looking forward to meeting Dr. Chan, who also will be seeing our child. Getting two doctors with their combined experiences and knowledge? Where else could you get that?

The staff is very friendly, Dr Isayev was prompt to review my Xrays, asked questions to understand my needs and has a wonderful disposition. The highlight is Stephanie, the hygienist. She is excellent with a pleasant manner. She cleans by using the tools rather than the hydro irrigation, and I left feeling like my teeth were squeaky clean and smooth. It's been a couple of years since I have had such a thorough cleaning. The cleaning was approximately 30 minutes. The office is located in the same plaza as the 99 restaurant, with plenty of parking. It is clean inside, with a welcoming atmosphere. It was easy to make an appointment via phone, with very little lead time. I'm not sure their contact us link in the website is monitored, so recommend calling instead. The downsides, which I am confident will be addresse -The 2 hour first visit. I was not told it would be this long so would have helped with my planning to know ahead of time. -The most uncomfortable part was the over 30 minutes it took to have the Xrays taken. The tech had a really hard time positioning the film in my mouth and several views need 3 and sometimes 4 tries before she got a good shot. I'm not thrilled with the extra X-ray exposure, but don't plan to have more taken for a few years, unless needed for a specific issue. -A couple of weeks before my appointment I requested information on the various pricing packages, as I am self-pay. The link they gave me was to an EZ Smile package, which indicated $480 for one year, which included Xrays, 2 cleanings, 2 exams and a couple other services. When I got to the office, I learned it was actually $550 for these services. The office staff said they don't offer the EZ Smile. It was quite a difference in price I was not expecting. I was shown a document that said next year, assuming no price increases, the same annual plan would be $440, so they do recognize repeat customer business. Their website has forms for first time patients, so if you want to save a bit of time in checkin, you can print and complete them (and print them) to bring to your visit. I will continue to use Crosspoint Family. I really liked the doctor and hygienist, and should the next visit go smoothly, likely I'll bump up the stars to 5.
