I had the honor of working with Sukhi from the BPR crew for the overall production of my Mehendi and Barat. He managed everything from the lighting, the music/sound, monogram creation and emceeing the event. It is hard to find somebody in this industry who is helpful, humble and practices at the top of their humanity.   The wedding planning process was very painful for me, given all that I had to manage with family expectations and a busy work life. Sukhi understood this and offered to meet with me several times during the course of the 8 months of planning. We met at multiple times at a local Starbucks to discuss detailed planning, he attended all the site visits with me, met with my decorator  and even had chats while I was driving to exchange ideas. I loved that he made himself so available. Despite all that he was doing, Sukhi even made it a point to stop and ask how I was doing given personal challenges I had to manage. This is something that I was not expecting from Sukhi.  Sukhi even provided unsolicited consultation on the sequence of events for my wedding program. Given that he works at weddings every weekend his insights were extremely helpful and prevented mistakes from occurring. He even went as far as suggesting that I devote time on the agenda for anyone that wanted to step out to pray during the event.  Once again, this is something I was pleasantly surprised by from him especially given he doesn't practice the same religion as my family. Having this level of partnership and proactive energy was profound to me and allowed me to trust him blindly!  He showed me that it's not all about booking clients for him, but it's also about taking care of your needs as a human too. It is due to these qualities and also his exceptional work that I can't recommend the BPR crew and Sukhi enough! Its been over a month and we are still getting compliments from our guests on how everything turned out, how much they loved the music and what a wonderful job Sukhi did emceeing the events. Where do I begin. Sukhi was booked for our reception. My husband and I had no clue the "thing" is to have an entrance song and a cake cutting song. I had a hard time figuring out which song to select. We let Sukhi know we trust his judgment and gave him free will to select the entrance and the cake cutting song. I was so beyond happy with Sukhi's song selection! He was so sweet to do that for us since my husband and I was clueless! Sukhi and his team had all our guests dancing till 1 am!! Our guests enjoyed themselves and the atmosphere was pumped up! I must add, towards the night of the night Sukhi surprised my husband and I with what I believe are called dry ice gun! Unprofessional. It's too bad, since he came highly recommended, and missed out on not one, but potentially two events for our wedding. We are looking for dhol players for the Baraat. Our wedding planner reached out to him, and he said that they only do package deals: dhol + DJ. We don't need a DJ for our reception, since we're going with a band. He offered to do a package (way overpriced btw) for dhol + ceremony sound instead. Our planner introduced us to him over email to set up time to chat and we suggested some time and day options that would work - it took 12 days for him to acknowledge the email, and when he did he did not remember talking to our planner and basically said "We can't do it if you only want dhol. You will have to work with another company." I reminded him of the conversation and agreement my planner and he talked about, then he agreed to take a zoom call with us. We set up a time and a day, which he agreed to, and he was a no show. No email or follow up apology for not showing up either - waited 30 min on the call for him. Guess he was never interested anyway, but the lack of normal communication was unprofessional. It's unfortunate... outside of our needs for that day, I was considering their DJ services for another wedding related dinner party my family is hosting in January. read more

I literally want to thank BPR crew a million times for making my event unforgettable! :D Sukhi, from the BPR crew, was recommended by my sister-in-law for the fantastic job that he did at her LA reception and my best friend, whose reception I attended and had the most spectacular time at! Prior to the event, I had spoke with Sukhi, who is super easy going, and he ensured me not to worry; he agreed to DJ and MC my event. Incredibly unprofessional. Considered hiring him for our wedding, but during our consultation he kept talking about how our wedding happened to be on game day, and how he was going to run home and watch the game between set up time and our event. He even mentioned that he would just use the media room in our event hall that we rented to watch the game- even though we told him we had other plans for that room. He was also very condescending when we mentioned that we wouldn't be doing a first dance and basically insulted our family culture. He had no interest in who we were as a couple and what we wanted for our wedding. He also provided us with no contract or anything written. When we asked him when we can talk about song selections he replied "Oh, forget about it, I'm so busy I won't even think about your wedding until the Wednesday of." At this point in the conversation we were done. We parted ways amicably. The Thursday before our wedding he contacted us asking for a timeline and songlist. Mind you- we had no contact with him after that first meeting, and we signed nothing. 2 days before a wedding is not the time to begin making plans. By then we had already hired, signed a contract, and chosen songs with another professional DJ. When my husband told him that we would not be needing his services, Sukhi became very agitated and threatening, saying that he would be coming to our wedding on Saturday to ruin it, etc etc.....it was only after our wedding coordinator threatened to call the police on him if he stepped foot on our venue that Sukhi left us alone. Unprofessional from the moment he mentioned the game to the moment he threatened us over texts. Work with him at your own risk. read more

I'm honestly really surprised to see negative reviews. Sukhi DJ'd my wedding this past weekend at Arden Hills Resort. I had a Persian-Punjabi reception and he was able to seamlessly blend music from both cultures. I received countless compliments on the DJ and the music from both Persian and Punjabi people. He was very professional and responded quickly to emails. He played every song that I had emailed during my ceremony and reception. I had uploaded around 30 Persian songs on google drive and he was able to incorporate most of them. I had provided a detailed timeline of when I wanted certain songs played and he delivered on that aspect as well. Sukhi visited the venue with me twice before the wedding and did a great job with the lighting. I also had Sukhi MC my wedding and he did a phenomenal job keeping the party on the timeline I provided. He learned to pronounce the entire bridal party's names before the grand entrance and he was truly a huge help to me on the mic. I also appreciated how quickly he would change the song when he noticed people leaving the dance floor or slowing down. He really did do an amazing job. Hired Sukhi and his crew for my reception in 2015 and it was an awesome experience. He kept up with all of our phone calls and all the requests we had or any questions we had in mind. Sukhi had a kind and understanding attitude, which people look for in vendors. Our reception party went all the way to 2am and BPR did not stop! My wife and I had them for our wedding recently in LA and these guys were awesome. My wife sent Sukhi an email with all songs we wanted played during the introductions, first dance, and cake song, and it all went perfect. We even requested a dance off between both families a couple of days before the reception and they were able to set it up and they rocked it. We even sent them pictures to post on their projectors and LCD tvs the DAY OF THE EVENT and they executed it perfectly. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a punjabi DJ. They know how to read the crowd, keep both punjabi and western guests happy, and keep the party going. This passed Labor Day weekend my husband and I had the BPR crew come and Dj for our reception party. Sukhi and his team did such an incredible job and really exceeded our expectation. Sukhi is really fast on responding to phone calls and text messages so I never really had to worry about him being unprofessional. He really listened to what we wanted and help us when it came to planning the event. The songs he played had the party going, and not once was the dance floor empty. We had SO much fun and had so many good reviews from our guest and as anyone knows the party is only Good is the Dj is good. These guys are AMAZING! I recently coordinated an American/Indian wedding at the Mirage and The BPR Crew DJed. I can't say enough about them! They were professional, fun and incredibly talented. As a coordinator, I'd say the DJ can make or break a reception. These guys sure made it! Their MC skills for things like the grand entrance and first dance we're on point, professional and likable but short and focused on the couple. They read the crowd well! Pleasing a mixed culture group like we had is no easy task but they got the party started and kept it going! These guys can mix! They even made it snow on the dance floor! Amazing! Horrible job by BPR tonight at Mirage. At least 5 to 7 people went up to him and asked him to lower the volume which was crazy loud and unbearable. Almost entire party was complaining about the noise but this guy never buzzed. 20% of the hall was standing outside in the lobby due to headache including myself. This guy clearly think loud, noisy music is good DJing. The only reason family had to hire him was because their #1 choice DJ Hans was out of country. People, do NOT book this guy unless you want loud noise and no music. read more

They did a wonderful job at entertaining the crowd and taking care of any of my needs as well as providing excellent service all around. I wish we had never booked them for our wedding reception. It took me a while to get over my anger to write this review. Bottom line is that they are unorganized, incompetent, and overpriced. The MC ruined the grand entrance by stating all the bridal party names wrong and he kept calling my parents when they were already out there. I told Sukhi (the owner, I assume) that I only wanted the dhol players to play when the bridal party came out. I did not want them to play while the song that my husband and I walked out to, but they continued to play. It was an English song and it sounded terrible over music. Also, I spent a long time coming up with a song list that I emailed to Sukhi. I believe only one or two of those songs were played. I wanted music from different genres and music that had meaning to us and our friends, but it seemed like all he had was Punjabi music and ghetto rap songs. Mind you that we are not Punjabi. Most of our guests were South Indian and American. I never imaged Tupac's "Hail Mary" to be played at my wedding. Luckily, the guests who were dancing were drunk and didn't care what was playing at that point. They also messed up the music while the professional dancer was performing. BPR crew's DJ service was very embarrassing. Especially since these were the things our guests told us about the DJ. We spent two years planning our night with our wedding planner and it was ruined because of the unorganized and incompetent services of BPR crew. We were also very upset that Sukhi never showed up. We kept asking him and he kept assuring us before the wedding that he will be there, then the day before he says he will be going back in forth from our event and another event in Natomas, but he actually never showed up to our event. Instead, he sent people that barely spoke any English. We went for BPR crew and paid $2700 for their services because we thought they could provide superior service. I feel they were not worth the money we spent and we could have gotten better service for way cheaper from any other Indian DJ. The problem with Sukhi is he only cares about collecting your money. He never once asked us what type of music we listen to, what type of crowd will be there, or how we wanted the vibe for the night. When I spoke to him about my concerns he kept saying "don't worry." I strongly suggest doing some research before you pick a DJ for your event. I didn't know this until the wedding, but the DJ has a big part on the tone and atmosphere of your event. They are basically the conductors for the night. Anyway if you want a ghetto, fobby, unorganized event book BPR Crew. read more

In a nutshell - Did NOT play music from the detailed play lists we gave them - played the EXACT same music for our Sangeet and our Reception (we asked for more indian songs at sangeet, more western for reception) - EXTREMELY unprofessional- tried to leave early - Sukhi (the owner or coordinator)- is very DECEPTIVE- promised SO much more than the delivered - do NOT do lighting through them- their aesthetics are very outdated/tacky - they have no idea how to play music other than bhangra or rap - I asked them to provide me with a remix- THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO REMIX- terrible terrible DJs I understand that weddings aren't always perfect, and I am a fairly mild mannered person- but this DJ service was the THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF OUR ENTIRE WEDDING Please do not hire them- spend extra money, spend extra time- but find SOMEONE ELSE read more

I've had the pleasure to know sukhi for many years and he's always been the dj for all of my family events. The guy is a true pioneer of djing and knows what he's doing. He recently djed my engagement party. From the first meeting I had with him till the last song was played at the party, Sukhi made sure I and my fiance had no issues. The party itself was amazing, the dance floor was rocking till 1am. Music selection was fabulous. My fiances family like a mixture of bollywood, fijian, Punjabi and top 40 songs where as my family is more into Punjabi and hip hop. Sukhi and his crew had the the right music and made sure to play each song that catered to everyone. When you're dealing with him, you're dealing with a true professional. Don't think twice. BPR Crew was absolutely great. We had them for 3 large events (500+ people) for a Pakistani wedding and they went out of their way to make every single event perfect. They're more than just DJs. Their uplighting and spotlights were perfect. They genuinely cared about the events and added things on the day of the events to make them better, even though they weren't in the contract. They showed up hours before the event, were extremely professional throughout the night, and were honestly just fun guys to be around. A little late for my review, but I had the BPR Crew for my engagement ceremony. We had a great time with the crew. Sukhi really went out of his way to come down and help determine where the DJ would be set up and where the projectors etc would look best. Sukhi is very professional and plays really good music to keep the party going. The reason for my 4-stars is because the dholi canceled last minute, and we had a party without a Dholi. Wow! The lighting and sound from The BPR Crew made our event fantastic! Their equipment is the real deal - the best high-end professional stuff that you'd have to pay a fortune for anywhere else, but their pricing was very affordable. And they totally know what they're doing! We only had to explain what we were looking for, and they magically created it, and then some! First and foremost, thank you so much Sukhi for the entire setup/crew/performance. Our family was raving about how amazing the setup was and how you kept the party lively! Before going into any further detail, I'd like to tell everyone who may be looking for DJ booking that they should stop right here, don't look anywhere else. Not to down play the rest, but what Sukhi did for our reception was on a whole different level, for a very reasonable price. Sukhi made me feel at home with how he treated my wife and I. We felt like family. So when I first started looking for DJ's, I set out a budget yet I was expecting top notch service. I went to another company in California to see their pricing and services. They were driving up the price for double the cost, half of the setup (most set ups for this other company was mediocre at best). This other company ran their mouth to a family member saying they can't provide lambo service for camry price lol When I heard that, I had to serve revenge the best way I now know; going with BPR. When I explained everything to Sukhi, he assured me that he will take care of my event, with top notch set up, and a performance none of us would forget. He did just that. Truly as good as it gets. Their setup is tastefully staged, and his mix will be sure to not leave your dance-floor empty for the entire night until the lights go up. If it was possible, I would give these guys a negative star rating. While they seemed emphatic and excited to work there, they played the same generic rap and bhangra music that any other DJ plays. There was no indication that the DJ inserted his own taste of music to individualize the experience. The possibilities for bhangra and Punjabi music from which they could have pulled was expansive yet instead they chose to stick to modem songs that the crowd couldn't relate to. Plus the DJ didn't even use a turn table to mix songs which is the cornerstone of DJ work. read more

First and foremost, I'd like to thank Sukhi for everything. He was super patient through the preparation, planning, and execution. I'll admit, I'm pretty OCD when it comes to what I want- and he completely delivered and exceeded my expectations. During the event, while it was only background music, I bothered him to make sure he'd be able to get the crowd on the dance floor when the time comes. He replied with a smile telling me to relax and enjoy myself- and later on when he started spinning, the dance floor was instantly crowded and full of energy. His set up and lighting was absolutely amazing, and having been around for a long time he really knows how to treat his clients. My dad isn't one to go out of his way to compliment a vendor 3 days later, but he specifically told me he loved Sukhis energy and attitude in how he dealt with him. He had a smile on his face the entire night, and was very accommodating and professional. I also had a performer brought in, Sukhi handled all logistics, contract, everything...and they both killed it together. Look no further than Sukhi and the BPR crew for your events, whether it be for a complete package including lighting, decor, and a performer- or just for his DJ services. The hall went from looking elegant and formal to looking like a club as soon as his lighting took over once dancing started, we were truly blown away. Our crowd dabbles in both, and a lot of the times a DJ is only good at one or the other- these days mainly punjabi music.
