It has a spartan atmosphere but the friendly and efficient staff made us forget the space. They had some of the best chips and salsa we've had in a long time. Just enough heat. I ordered a frozen raspberry margarita which was tasty and $1off during happy hour. We both got the enchiladas ranchero meal. One with chicken and one order with cheese. Rice and beans included -all for a reasonable price. (Recently we went to a Mexican restaurant back home that charged extra for these sides when ordering enchiladas.). Anyway the three enchiladas were very good. Come for the food not the decor...

The menu offers several choices that are unique to the area. In addition to standard "Up North" fare like burgers, there are several Asian inspired dishes that are really good. We've been to sushi night and it really is the best sushi up here (not many options - but it's solid). I've been on a Tuesday and had the Kung Pao Chicken special which is great, and last night we came in and I had the Thai Green Curry which was flavored just right. My husband had the walleye and Jody suggested he order it broiled and he raved about it. Service is super friendly - Jody was a delight, and Tracy and Ryan behind the bar are always friendly and make great drinks. Highly recommended.

The hamburger steak was just some little dried up hamburger on the plate with some vegetables that were actually cold. They felt like they just came out of the refrigerator. I wanted to tell the waitress that I preferred my vegetables to be warm but she never came back until dinner was over and brought the bill. When I brought it to her attention she paid no attention. I also asked for more iced tea and she came back with more tea but neglected to add any ice. $16.99 for this meal was definitely too much. Sad to say that after many years of eating here - we won't be back.

At about the 10 minute mark my GF commented on how no one had been by. The young man who seated us asked a server to see us. About 15 minutes later we still had not been given water or even been seen by a waitress. A few minutes after that I saw two tables get seated and waitresses bringing them water and telling them that day's specials. At that point we walked out. I understand that being helped can take awhile when it's busy, but people seated after you being helped before you should never ever happen. If I could give negative stars I would.

The lobster rolls were really good, thought they were made from fake crab at first but suppose to be lobster shreds, never had a lobster roll before but would like to soon, you know the ones with big chunks of buttery lobster. It was good, came with North Atlantic lobster shreds mayo base with celery, lettuce and tomatoes and ol bay seasoning on the best sub rolls ever, yes I would buy again, but, does it taste authentic probably not, wild rice soup-all I can say INEDIBLE, had this twangy taste along with funky flour, couldn't even describe it so it went in the trash and I was so happy we had the soup on the side so the wonderful bread bowl was not ruined. I made my own quick version of chicken wild rice soup that made its way into a wonderful soft crispy bread bowl. Lobster rolls were $9.99 each and the bread bowl and soup $8.99. Called to see how much just the bread bowls are figured I buy the bread bowls and put my own soup in. They said $9.75. REALLY!!
