went through drive thru for a pint of Seagrams and a 6 pack of Budweiser red label tall boys...handed him my out of state debit card (that he asked for and I just assumed he wanted to make sure I had a form of payment) he handed me my stuff in my car back without ever telling me a total. Being a trusting person I drove off, got back to my sister's house when the alert hit my phone, the dude had charged me $20 for a six pack of 16 ounce Budweiser in the cans. Total rip off, jerk, and when I tried to call and inquire he was extremely uncouth and then just hung up the phone.... This place is a scam. I just realized I was charged $30 for a 10 pack of mini bottles which are $1 everywhere else. I've never paid more than $10 for a pack of them and he refused to give me my receipt. Also the bottled Diet Coke I got literally tasted like they poured out the original and put something else in it. Color was completely different than normal coke and tasted like old, flat, and almost lemon flavored. Will not be going back here buyers beware this company is a scam. read more

I'm not really sure what this business is a cover for but they don't seem to want to sell liquor. I went in to pick up a few bottles and there are not price tags AT ALL. So I asked about it and the lady said "you'll just have to ask me". ??? For every product? Like I didn't go in looking to haggle or be ripped off and that's what I feel like was happening without set prices. It was very odd to say the least. Stay away from this place! I went in with my husband to buy two bottles of wine. There is no prices on the wine and so I said I wanted a bottle of wine mid-priced, not too expensive. He said his wines weren't more than 24.00 and recommended a wine. So, I should have said, "how much is this one you are recommending?" but the man in a con artist and rambles on about something so my husband buys two bottles. I'm thinking mid-priced is about 16.00. This is how he gets you...he tells you he is going to give you a discount and then says the total cost. Your brain is registering that you are getting a discount but he's price gouging you with an exorbitant price. ""I'll give you a discount. 65." My brain was reeling...huh? 65 discount? So...for two bottles of wine which would have cost $35.00 at the most, he charges $65.00". He just types in a number and prints a receipt but expects you not to ask for the receipt but I did. And it took me time to realize what just happened as we were driving out of town. Scumbag. Don't go to this place. Sweet talking lowlife thief. I hope his company goes bankrupt. I'm posting the pictures of these three wines I purchased yesterday just to show everyone how the Bottle Shop liquor store is price gouging us consumers. I've purchased the same wines at other small town mom and pop liquor stores ( not big boy liquor stores like spec's) and they don't charge people 19.99 for a 9.99 dollar bottle of wine! My husband was shocked to see our 59.99 dollar receipt for just three 750mL bottles of wine. I called around and went online just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind. After all... who marks up a item 100% more profit I ask myself. Well, THE BOTTLE SHOP DOES! I called the owner's wife and asked how much they charged for the three brands and she said she couldn't give me prices on the phone and that I'd have to come in. Finally I explained that I live far out in the country and didn't wanna drive all that way if they're too expensive and besides I buy quite a bit when I do go. She finally relented and told me 20.00 bucks a bottle. For all of them? And she said yes all of them. Blew my mind completely because I thought it was a mistake. She wasn't very nice to me and said they have to charge more than the bigger liquor stores. But I said "I'm not talking about spec's, I'm talking about small town liquor stores. No, no she said that's just how it is here. I was pleasant and thanked her even though she was curt with me, however I'll never shop there again. That's just highway robbery and it's also being deceptive when a "receipt just has a price, not itemizing the items purchased." Just wanted to warn all the locals about them. People work too hard to be ripped off like that. When I told my neighbor about it he says he never shops there because they are overpriced and rude. I wish I'd known that before I went in there.
