My only complaint is the rest of the area seemed to be shut down when we left so I only wish it were open later to explore! This area really has everything you could want in one place. My office is nearby, and it's the perfect spot for lunch breaks, after-work happy hours, or dinner and drinks with friends. The restaurant options are fantastic--whether you're looking for a sit-down meal or something more fast casual. One of the biggest highlights is having Whole Foods right here, not just for the hot bar but also for their food court with several great casual options. On top of that, there are plenty of parking garages and lots, plus a gym and a coffee shop, which make it super convenient. It's one of those rare areas where you can truly do it all in one stop! read more

*About Boro events: Been going to the Boro since they offered free movies at Showplace Icon! Love their family events they hold, have taken my niece to few and she loves the "Boro DJ" as she dances nonstop [or at least until the event ends]. Also went for Oktoberfest and it was fun talking to the locals in the area. Could have more food vendors for their events. Also loved their evening market as not many places offer those, especially if you want to go a farmer market but work on the weekends, it offers a great opportunity to support vendors. Parking validation works for the most part if not the security in the garage always help out! read more

The boro Tysons is a development project that is already well underway with filling up with tenants. There are plenty of open spaces, including a small splash pad (capacity is 20-something). Parking was easy in a lot but there are also garages. Besides the splash pad, we also visited Jeni's, detailed in a separate review. read more

This is an outdoor/indoor space in Tysons Corner. Sort of tucked behind the Metro station and across Rt 7 from the "Pike 7" Shopping Plaza where the TJ Maxx and the Starbucks is. The Staples has closed and they're going to be opening a LIDL sometime in the near future. I ended up at Boro courtesy of a friend of mine telling me about an auto show. Apparently this venue hosts lots of free events and contains quite a number of mixed-use spaces including shopping and apartment living. The free events are to get you there to spend money on the other stuff. When you drive up to it it kind of reminds you of the Mosaic District in Fairfax. Or at least it's trying to be, maybe. Parking is kind of tight/inconvenient for some reason though. There's street parking a block or two away and there's a parking garage around the corner. Wear some comfortable shoes. There's a movie theater; a Jeni's ice cream; Whole Foods; a sand lot, water jet fountain area; quite a number of restaurants and other things outdoors + lots of grass kids/dogs moving around. A happy space. Colorful grounds and welcoming spaces. All the high-end rides were parked in the parking lot next to the main building with the mural. Nice Sunday afternoon. I recommend you check it out if you're out there, but based on its location you won't accidentally bump into it - it has to be a destination, especially if you're driving. read more

Parked in the Boros while watching a movie. Parking was to be comp'ed with ticket validation. My S/O and I met here on 2 occasions to watch a movie and both times we ended up paying the parking fees. I reached out to the below person. He replied once asking for proof which I supplied numerous times however we were never reimbursed nor compensated for the inconvenience. Making a massive development project a destination is very suburban, but it works. Here's why: 1) Amenities: Throughout Boro's campus are top restaurants and shops. There's a Whole Foods, an Italian restaurant, fast-casual options, a theater and a coffee shop within the park. Boro Park is an AstroTurf green space with tables, yard games, a splash pad and rainbow-colored stairs. 2) Parking: Of course there are parking garages, but we found free street parking along Silver Hill Drive on a Saturday morning. 3) Events: Trying to attract a crowd, the people behind Boro put on regular free events. For example, when my daughter and I went in September 2021, there happened to be a free fall festival for families with crafts, doughnut decorating and a scavenger hunt with prizes. 4) Art: It's impossible to miss the giant mural by Jessie and Kate, but there's another large mural a bit older on the east end of the development. read more

I came across a car show on my way to Whole Foods. The cars were beautiful, and it was a nice way to spend some time on a Saturday morning. I just wish the coffee stand offered decaf coffee, because it was super hot out there and I needed a cold drink. I enjoy all the events they have at the Boro Tysons. read more

It is nothing special yet. Yet I will give this three stars, due to the splash/water area being good for little ones. If this was around when my sons were smaller, they'd have loved this. They do occasionally have an entertainer performing here. So far work has interfered, or someone for kids and not a guy approaching the dreaded AARP card timeline. This will eventually be a lot better. The county is switching to mixed use areas. A prime example would be the Mosaic District, which is unbelievable. This will be smaller, but have shops and apartments. That's the model now, and it makes sense due to densely populated areas. I will update this as it grows. Hoping for a bit of fun and good times here upon completion. read more

My evening out with my family (dinner, ice cream and a quick Whole Foods trip) was wonderful until I pulled up to leave the parking garage. Despite having my parking validated I was being charged $5. I rang for assistance and was rudely told it was a flat $5 rate despite my explanations of having a validated parking ticket. My family was tired so I paid and left. So what is the point of the validation? They have signs all over telling customers to get their parking validated. I was actually a customer of 3 stores, got my ticket validated and still have to pay? At this point despite a good evening I don't know why I would return. I can do all the things Boro offers without dealing with Tyson's congestion and paying for parking. read more

If you enjoy paying luxury prices only to be treated like a bum this is the place to be. Here is a list of great things to expect when moving here: 1. Courtyard apartments - if you enjoy kids throwing rocks and breaking your glass doors to the Courtyard this is the place. 2. If you want unleashed dogs in elevators this is the place. 3. If you want to see front desk employees smoking weed in the garage this is the place. 4. If you never want to get your Amazon packages this is the place. 5. If you want management to fix something and waste a day off work just to have no one show up this is your place. 6. Do you want your management company to convert apartment space into hotels? Do you enjoy travelers utilizing your shared spaces who inherently have no stake in what you call home this is your place. 7. Do want staff who never address neighbors who have no respect for shared living space and noise ordinances than this is definitely this is your place. 8. Do you want to spend your entire lease contemplating your life decisions and how you ended up in the worst place to live in Tysons this is your place. 9. And finally do you enjoy fire alarms every day at 2 am than this is the place. Seriously everyday. It would really be funny if this was just a joke. But on the bright side if you want to buy Marijuana in Tyson just ask the employees that work at the Boro front desk because they are always high. Strange at an apartment complex that costs almost $4000 a month.... you would have a management company that doesn't drug test its employees. Especially when they deal with your packages and have direct access into your apartments. read more

Who ever heard of charging for parking on Sunday morning? I just wanted to pick up coffee from the new Bluestone Lane coffee shop, the only options would be street parking, which wasn't available at 11 on Sunday morning, or parking in the Whole Foods garage and buying something I didn't really need off the clearance rack or the snack aisles to get free validated parking for 90 minutes. There was a "meter maid" walking around the lot, apparently ticketing vehicles who parked in the lot because they were unable to find street parking to go and pick up coffee or breakfast items. Luckily for me, I noticed the "meter maid" before I parked and saw her attempting to ticket other cars, so I resorted to find curbside/street parking, and seeing none, I bought something inside Whole Foods. I'm all for free enterprise, and I realize that "the customer is always right" has been replaced by "we're in business to make a profit", but trying to ticket cars on Sunday morning is a little ridiculous. read more

The Boro is fine, but totally overrated! It's really a very small area and parking is expensive and a total pain! The only place I can imagine actually making a special trip here for is the Paris baguette place! Everything else is so so! For example, I ate at the Italian restaurant, and it just really wasn't very good. In fact, I think it was the worst pesto penne I've ever had. The whole foods is OK. They have little establishments that seem to move out everyday! There is an ice cream shop that isn't open very much, and you can get their ice cream from Giant and mom's organic if you want. There's no reason to go to the Boro when you can go to Tysons corner or the galleria or the mosaic or anywhere else instead. The only reason I can imagine visiting here is if you live or work nearby. Then it's certainly better than nothing. read more

This place try's so hard to be another Mosaic district, but totally misses the mark because they charge for parking!!! Ridiculous prices for parking there even to go to the whole foods. I mean why!! The only reason we come here is because of the movie theatre, but restaurants there are just mediocre. read more

This place misses the mark, especially when compared to Mosaic. Who charges for parking in a suburban retail shopping area?? The layout is bizarre, very siloed and seemingly always dark with the taller buildings overshadowing the shops/restaurants. read more

Super lame. Splash pad is not open at the times posted online, and there are no hours posted at the splash pad, which is a great way to disappoint small children and their parents who then have to deal with the meltdowns. read more
