We enjoyed their jajangmyun and jjamppong the most while the seafood pancake was a bit too doughy and I thought the garlic sauce chicken was too heavy on the batter. We went and we got 10 different side dishes and we could have refills on any of them. We ordered the two person set and had to take half the meat home because we got so much. We are normally people who take home food and we were super surprised there was no way we could eat all the food we got. The staff was super friendly and will also cook the meat for you if you want. The seating is a little awkward some of the chairs don't have backs but I feel like for most people you are leaning over cooking so you don't really notice, if you would want a different seat they seem happy to accommodate.

We saw array of banchans in a review of SURA and decided to check it out.  However, we received 3 small side dishes with our food and they were just ok. We were disappointed to say the least. The food we ordered was decent and the service was good, but one essential part of Korean dining experience are the side dishes and it was really lacking at SURA. We would probably not go back again as there are too many other places to try within the downtown Vancouver area.

The restaurant was small but cozy and we were able to get seated right away. We knew fried chicken was their specialty but decided to order other dishes on the menu and boy were we glad that we did. We got 2 spicy seafood udons, pork bone stew, galbi chicken and garlic soy boneless chicken. Everything was so delicious! We are from Southern California so we know what's considered good Korean food and this place is it. We enjoyed our meal with a couple bottles of soju and my parents said they really enjoyed the place. Also, our waiter was friendly and very helpful. Next time we visit Victoria, we will be coming to Chimac again!

We ordered the Galbi Chicken, Seafood Spicy Soup (Jjamppong), Garlic Soy chicken, and Pork Bone Soup (Gamjatang). We are Korean so extra picky when it comes to authenticity and flavor and we felt all of the dishes hit the spot. My picky kids really enjoyed their food and loved the chicken and the dduk (tteokk) from the galbi chicken. Only minor complaint is that entrees didn't come with any banchans -- not even Kimchi. Also the portion size of the pork bone soup was small. These should normally come in a much larger bowl with larger serving. Overall highly recommend this place especially if you are looking for Korean food in Victoria BC.

Restrooms are located upstairs, and there are no elevators, so it is not wheelchair accessible. Yelp waitlist and Yelp Reservations are available on the app, so I made a reservation and the host greeted and seated us as soon as we entered. The vibe is fun, they have a great playlist playing in the background, and a big drink menu. The food menu is pretty big, and they specialize in Korean style roasted chicken. We ordered: * Rose Pasta Appetizer - could've been an entree. It was so good and my favorite dish of everything we ordered. The sauce was so good, we saved the leftover sauce on the plate to dip our roasted chicken. 5/5 * Pan Fried Chicken Noodle - basically yakisoba noodles. Decent but a bit bland. 3/5 * Butter Curry Roasted Chicken - came with Korean rice cakes on top. 4/5. Chicken was tender and I loved that it was boneless. * Spicy Chili Roasted Chicken - we originally wanted the Volcano flavor, but the server warned us that it was really spicy, and suggested the spicy chili instead. We enjoyed the flavor of this one more than the curry one. So good! 5/5 Our server was super nice, and food came out quick! I highly recommend stopping by if you're craving some good chicken!!

The bun was incredibly fresh, light, and pillowy, while the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender with the perfect balance of richness and tang from the kimchi. The pickled vegetables added a bright crunch that tasted incredibly fresh. We started with the salmon tartare, and it was phenomenal! Rich, buttery, bursting with flavor, and so good we were literally fighting over the last bite. And the scallop? Order one for each person. Seriously. It's far too delicious to share. It had just the right amount of heat, leaving the perfect lingering warmth that immediately made us want another. Do yourself a favor and give yourself enough time to work your way through the menu, because every dish we tried was outstanding. Each plate was thoughtfully curated, beautifully executed, and cooked to perfection. I like to call it the C³ trifecta: curated, created, and cooked. Without question, this is some of the best food we've had in a very long time. We can't wait to come back (when visiting) and continue eating our way through the rest of the menu.

I can find an option for each of them, no matter how picky they're feeling and I can also get myself something that will satisfy me. Not a bad job for a mall food court restaurant. I recently tried the Koryo fries and they were fantastic (okay I wasn't looking for something healthy for myself that day, parental double standard). They asked if I wanted them spicy and I said yes, expecting the usual little tingle that are other cultures interpretation of Caucasian tolerance for spice. This time I got the burn I wanted. Fast forward to the food court (yes, I am easily convinced). Scanning around I didn't see anything tasty or interesting at all until I landed on a small store in the far corner -- Koryo. PROS: + All barbecued meats are marinated, Korean style and then grilled + Meals come with healthy helpings of rice and side dishes that you can choose; side dishes are authentic and really good + Kimchee is particularly good at this place + Some innovative Korean-American menu items CONS: - Although this is a good Korean fix to get in downtown, the meat doesn't seem to be marinated as well as going to an actual joint that serves Korean BBQ; speaking of which, I heard there is a Korean BBQ place on Fisgard St.? - Expect to pay a decent price for the food, although you can opt for the cheaper sandwiches, forgoing the lunch plates
