Marilyn immediately got right to business. She didn't try to oversell me or push me toward something I didn't need--she simply listened to what I was looking for and helped me find a pair that worked for me. There was quite a selection to choose from and she really made this process seem easy and pleasant. It's obvious Marilyn knows her optics. I don't know if she's the owner or a partner, but she certainly knows how to take care of her customers. She was warm, welcoming, and, most importantly, patient. She took the time to help me even though it was a busy day. And yes, I should probably mention that I did end up buying a pair of binoculars--and I'm very happy with them! I also expected to pay a premium for what I purchased simply because of the location. To my surprise, when I got home to check reviews, I also found out there wasn't any crazy markup. There was none. I already felt like I had won by finding a quality product while traveling, only to discover I didn't have to pay the "tourist tax" for it. NICE! This tells me they're not exploiting their customers when they obviously could. Even if there had been a premium, Marilyn was such a genuinely friendly person that I wouldn't have thought twice about it. Great customer service goes a long way. And, not being completely selfish, we were also able to pick up a few things for our kiddo, who wasn't with us on the trip. There were so many interesting things to choose from that could keep a kid--or a young engineer--busy for quite a while.
