Visited the Boatyard, Bangor on a Sunday and ordered a Carvery lunch priced at £7.95 which I thought was about a £1 too pricey. The location although nice and homely is a little cramped for a Carvery as a queue had formed and we were on top of each other in the way of other guests and the main bar. I would recommend that they revert to table service given the size of the location.
The food itself was tasty with a choice of 3 different meats - Pork, Beef and Chicken. The usual trimming were there from stuffing, roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, glazed parsnips, mash potatoes. Carrots were nice although the spring cabbage was a little soggy (possibly as it had been there a while)
On the whole 3/5, a price decrease would have pushed me up to a 4. read more
