Yelp asks, "What could they have done differently?" Honestly, the list is so long it probably wouldn't fit here. From customer service to the condition of the boats, this place was a huge disappointment. Some boats on the lot were in rough shape -- dirty, covered in algae, with musty odors, and one even appeared to have a wasp nest. Several boats we came to see were apparently already sold but still listed. The customer service was just as bad. Colin told us on the phone there were plenty of cuddy cabin/walkaround boats to look at, but when we arrived, he said he was too busy and sent someone else. Matthew was in and out, Sean seemed uninterested from the start, and overall nobody appeared to know where the boats were or wanted to help us for more than a few minutes. The main boat we came to see looked far better in the photos than it did in person. We expected a project boat at that price, but what we found was far worse than advertised. The hull had visible stress fractures cracking around it, including deep cracking near the transom. The transom itself appeared heavily worn, and the motor mount bolts had been messily sealed with silicone, which raised concerns. These were significant issues that were not apparent in the listing photos. Overall, this was a frustrating experience and a major letdown. If you choose to shop here, inspect everything very carefully and manage your expectations. read more

My wife and I drove an hour and 15 minutes to look at 2 boats we found on the website! As soon as we got there we went into the old office (not knowing they had a new one) Mr. Tracy introduced his self and went to the new office to get us a salesperson. We were blessed to get Donnie, he took us right to the one of them was very knowledgeable and honest about it, went to see the second one it had been moved so he hurried and located it. My wife liked the first one so back we went, He was very, very patient kept conversation never tried to push us on anything. We decided to get the Triumph off to the finance manager, He was very helpful with walking us through the whole process, there was a big hiccup on our part, but he helped us go back and forth fixing it. we were there from 11:30 am - 6:30pm going back and forth with the bank, they could've asked us to go home and wait but they went the extra mine to make sure we were comfortable or needed anything thankfully they had phone chargers too. I was looking for an outboard to repower my old boat. I found a ad for The Boat Yard on Marketplace. I called and talked to a Tyler. He had what I was looking for so I drove 8 hours from Dallas TX . When I got there it was exactly what he said it would be. The motor was still on the old boat so they backed it in the tank and let me here it run. The shop mechanic answered all my repower questions and helped me find the other stuff I needed to make it work including a used Jackplate. The owner Tracy came out to the shop and priced it for me and explained how it would help my boat do what I wanted it to do. They made me feel like I was part of The Boat Yard family and never once tried any high pressure sales stuff on me. I fell like they gave me a great deal on the 2018 Mercury and got me in and out and on my way back to Dallas faster than I expected . I recently purchased a used boat from them. I have purchased numerous used boats before, its always a gamble and you really never know if its a lemon. The Boat Yard tested every component with me, they put the boat into a dunk tank, ran full forward/reverse. Performed a compression test. Tested live well pumping system, lights. I'm talking everything. This was before any money was mentioned. After the deal was completed, knowing I had a 3 hour ride home, they greased the well bearing, checked air and lights on the trailer.
