We really enjoy loggers games at Copeland park. What we don't enjoy is the food. I know we can't…read moreexpect much from baseball park food., but it just seems to be getting worse over the Years. It doesn't seem to help to complain about anything. Prices are going up and a lot of portions are getting smaller. Certain items we just stopped buying. The soft pretzels are good, but they changed the cheese last year. It's now a white cheese that tastes terrible. I'm sure they went with a cheaper brand. The chicken breast fillets used to be good, but this year they're smaller and dry. The popcorn is good, when it isn't too salty and the price went way up. Cheese curds and onion rings are in very small portions and average about a dollar for each piece of food. We wouldn't mind paying about money if the portions were a decent size. Not happy and not going to buy a lot of that stuff anymore. One thing I find hilarious is the over priced ice cream cones. There have been a lot of regulars at the games who stopped buying them as of last year. You get a small cone with no ice cream in it at all and the so-called one scoop is more like a half a scoop, perched on top of the cone. We've started to eat our meals before we go to the game, when before, we always had our dinner at the game. Costs a lot less, tastes better, and saves us a lot of money!

A must do in La Crosse. Had the best service I've ever received from a guy named Zach W!read more

I can't believe this is their first review, but I suppose if you didn't know about The Yoga Place,…read moreyou'd probably never find it. However, hidden upstairs in the City Square Building on Main Street is a beautiful studio that is guaranteed to change the way you look at yoga. While not a stranger to yoga, the Iyengar method is radically different from any way that I've been taught. From the very first class, you'll actually _feel_ how it's different. Rather than emphasizing flexibility as the #1 most important goal, the Iyengar method teaches proper alignment and utilizes various props throughout the class. It teaches balance and how to use your muscles to their full potential so that you have lifelong fitness and health. It also teaches the deeply calming aspects of yoga...how certain poses can alleviate afflictions, help with insomnia and have restorative qualities. Before your first class, you will be asked to fill out a medical history sheet. I've never had to do this for any fitness class, and I truly wish that I would have! When the instructor knows of your injuries, ailments and limitations, they are able to tailor the class specifically to you. They remember that you have a knee problem, and will modify the pose to meet your needs. Not in a shameful way, but in a "we still want you to participate" way. The classes are not intimidating, and I'd encourage just about anyone to at least take one to see how they like it. The instructors (especially Chris) are kind, encouraging, but will correct you when you are out of alignment so as to prevent injury and to make sure you are getting the full benefit of each pose. Class fees are very reasonable, and they have discounts for students. The varied schedules are nice because they can accommodate morning, afternoon or evening practice. And if you miss a class in your session, they allow you to make it up. You never feel like you're wasting your money if you have to miss a class. I've been to the crowded classes. It's definitely a different way of practicing yoga, but for me, the personal attention and focus on proper alignment have done amazing things for me the last 12 weeks. Please check them out!

In this way, the instructor is able to make sure that all participants are doing the exercises correctly. So the workout ends up being vigorous and yet also safe. If participants attend regularly they will end up with well balanced and full-body results. I will admit, my 5 star experience is the Sparta Eupraxia which is too new to be on Yelp yet, but it looks like they are standardizing these gyms so I'm sure the same 5 stars apply in Onalaska.

I got injured every few weeks and had to take off several weeks to let my shoulders, elbows, and knees heal. I could work out only ~6 out of 14 months that I signed up for. They make you do your own warm up at the beginning and there is no stretching at the end. Guidance is minimal. Seem like the guidance is given on the need to know bases. I brought this up with the management however I was told that this is how they will run the place. I would rather go to a place which has warm-up and stretching built into the instructed run exercise time. This place is run by a chiropractor who consider himself a doctor, a scientist and a nutrition specialist however he is a vaccine denier and preach to eliminate nuts from the diet. He sends out articles via email with his jaw dropping ignorant pseudoscience crazy theories about fish oil, probiotics and multivitamins. Being a GI doctor I have a certain level of competence in nutrition and probiotics and I always found this guy's ignorant and misleading spin on these topics appalling and dangerous.
