I emailed them first to get a feel for the doctor. He wrote me back immediately, providing me some very useful information that I had never heard from anyone before (I must add that I am an avid researcher on health, herbs and supplements.) He was very kind and his words were well thought out, not rushed as I had expected. I began the program May 23rd and this is week 9 for me. I have lost 19 pounds and it shows (dropped 4 sizes already!) On my first visit and all appointments thereafter, I was greeted with kindness, smiles, professionalism, encouragement, and have never been rushed or talked down to. All visits have been informative, encouraging, and welcoming. I especially liked that Dr. Nguyen is also a vegetarian and was able to explain to me what I was doing wrong even though I am a very healthy eater. Everything has always made sense and has been easy to understand. Don't think that you have to become a vegetarian because he is, he will not try to convert you :) This is not your typical doctor's office at all. The office is clean, comfortable, pleasant and inviting. The receptionist always greets you with a smile even if she is busy with another patient. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and you will never leave feeling bad even if you hadn't lost weight that week. I even bring my 10 year old son with me and he is allowed to sit in on my appointment and the doctor even speaks to him and gives him encouragement to eat healthier too. I will continue with this way of eating (5 times a day, I might add!) because I have a new way of thinking and looking at food. You will learn the same, as this is the first thing you learn when you come in. And the great part is you get to eat your own food because they don't sell you pre-packaged garbage or push products on you. The receptionist asked me to come back to weigh in and take my blood pressure. Before, they would do the weigh in behind closed doors. I already felt vulnerable being here. I then waited in the lobby to see the doctor. It was not Mr. Nguyen. I couldn't tell who was the doctor with all the people that were coming in and out. Random people kept chatting and walking in and out of that front office like it was just a hang out. One person arrived late to her appointment but they saw her right away. Which is fine, but I waited a total of 45 minutes. I decided to finally walk out since this didn't felt like a place that cared. As soon as I walked to my car, this person taps on my window and apologizes for the wait but they wanted to see if maybe the GLP would be better because of my blood pressure. However, the experience completely changed once I arrived. I showed up about 15 minutes early and wasn't greeted by the front desk. The staff seemed unprofessional and disengaged. After signing a consent form, I was told there would be a $25 fee, which I agreed to. When I explained I was there for a consultation for facial balancing, I was repeatedly asked if I was going to get the procedure done that same day. I clarified that I was only there for a consultation, as discussed when booking. Then I was told the consultation would actually cost $50, which was never clearly explained beforehand (I was only told about a $25paperwork fee). The lack of transparency, constant pressure, and unprofessional behavior made me feel very uncomfortable. I decided to leave rather than spend money at a place that didn't make me feel welcomed or respected. I would not recommend this business.
