Upon being at my…read morehouse prior to the work and then twice at my house to do the work, Tyler never informed me that the estimate he initially gave was going to change as more work was involved. I was home everytime he was there working and he never informed me that it would be more. The work was finished on December 22nd and I received an invoice that evening saying it was due now. The next day I questioned why the amount had doubled. He proceeded to call me, text me as we were in a holiday weekend. I proceeded to notify him this morning that I would send a check and where to send it. He proceeds to say he's in my area and will stop by. My wife and sons come home today at 4pm to find the owner standing on my front porch demanding payment. In my opinion, this is not good business. Quoting someone $1600 and then billing them $3153 with no warning and showing up on my porch after a holiday and all 3 days later demanding payment is unprofessional.. I will never use his services or recommend his services to anyone.

I called Walter at 8 AM just to confirm that he would be there in a half hour. Walter did not answer the phone but then called me right back and said, "Who is this?" After I explained he said he forgot and could be at my house within the hour. I said OK no problem I completely understand. Walter then shows up in 45 minutes later with the clipboard in his hand to give me an estimate! Guy had no recollection of being in my house or giving me a bid, completely unprofessional and not really sure what is wrong with this company or Walter! This was a referral from Home Depot and I have told them not to put his name out there. I would suggest not using this company for anything!

Purple Plumber is a one man operation and when he was away in the past, another service covered for him. That is where the good review came from in the past. I've now dealt with John, the Purple Plumber himself. What an angry, unhappy man. I work in customer service and this man hit every button of what not to do. He is a great plumber, I believe he is, but he needs to hire someone to deal with people for him. Grumpy, angry, impatient. He got so angry at me for paying within 10 days of a service call, he wanted payment the day of but he doesn't take credit cards. Hard to do if you aren't at home at the time of the service call. He wouldn't work on my type of hot water heater and instead of telling me so, he went off on me about how he hates the type I own. Wow, how is the guy still in business? Neffsville Plumbing and Heating charge $58 for a call out, use them instead.
