This was hands down the best food and overall experience I had during my entire trip to Ireland and Scotland. Just when I was starting to think the food and service in the UK were a bit underwhelming, we stumbled upon this gem. We had wandered off the Royal Mile in hopes of finding something a bit more special -- and this place was exactly what we were looking for.
We only wanted a light bite before dinner, and everything we ordered exceeded expectations. We started with the mozzarella, beautifully presented on a bed of pistachio pesto. I usually think most pestos taste the same, but this one was unique and absolutely delicious. Then came the wild mushroom spring roll -- unlike any spring roll I've had before, served on a rich, flavorful sauce that stole the show. We also had the baby potatoes, which were good, though they paled in comparison to the other two standout dishes.
As a bonus, the counter seating facing the street makes it the perfect spot for people-watching -- constant entertainment! I loved it so much, I found myself trying to convince every passerby that they had to eat here. Don't miss it! read more
