I had an extremely disappointing experience at The Bistrot in Barcelona. Despite its 4.5-star rating, our visit left much to be desired. After waiting 15 minutes for someone to take our order and enduring an additional 30 minutes for the food, the frustration was palpable.
I ordered a spritz Aperol, listed on the menu, only to be told they didn't have it. The chicken wok was a letdown - cold, lacking chicken, and tasting worse than homemade. It resembled neither fried rice nor chicken stir fry with rice. The dish of the day, caneloni pasta with meat, came with an unexpected addition of chicken. While piping hot, it was only passable in taste.
Service moved at a pace comparable to molasses, despite only two other patrons. The restaurant's obscure location inside Santa Eulalia, without proper signage, added to the overall frustration. One star feels generous for this subpar dining experience. I've never been so disappointed in a meal, and I strongly advise against dining here. read more
