Reuben, turkey Reuben, chicken parm, buffalo chicken, etc. I had a hard time selecting but went with the turkey Reuben. They put it in a brown paper bag so that was nice to transport back to work. When I first looked at it, it seemed underwhelming. Not too many ingredients. Not too big. But wow when I took the first bite! Still warm even after a drive. The bread was so crispy and not greasy at all! They mix of the turkey, sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing was delicious. I wanted to go return and get another sandwich! Friends got the soup and I'm bummed I forgot to add that. I'm looking forward to when they return. Don't pass up on this treat!

What was nice is you could get the sandwiches as a sandwich OR as a quesadilla. I had the Club with a side of homemade chips. The club had cheddar, havarti, smoked turkey, apple-wood smoked bacon, tomato, and Fresh baby spinach on sourdough. It, along with the chips smelled wonderful on my walk back to my building. The sandwich was a good size. Slightly on the greasy side but after letting it sit on a napkin for a bit it was OK. I could have made two meals out of the sandwich! The flavors of all the different cheeses and meats was a wonderful combination. The chips likewise were a tad greasy. They were OK - not the best homemade I have had but not the worst. I would also say slightly overpriced for what you got. I look forward to their next visit in the area so I can try something new.

My research brought me here to Pappy's. I'm very glad it did. Ambiance starts with a line out the door, literally. You slowly shuffle down a long hallway full of Pappy's memorabilia. Then you make it to the ordering counter, order, and find a table. The dining room is huge, plenty of tables, with a full complement of sauces on each table. The service people at the counter were friendly, and so were the people delivering the food. The food came out quick and hot and delicious. We had baked beans and potato salad for sides, and they were pretty solid. Nothing show-stealing, but no complaints about them whatsoever. And of course, we got the ribs. Tender, juicy, a nice bite and chew, a decent bark, just a really wonderful rib. Better than any St. Louis style rib I've ever had back home in Florida. Other states, hard to say, the jury's out, but in that moment, I was eating a five-star rib. So good. We also got a 1/4 pound of the Burnt Ends. Usually, burnt ends are the king of meats, but I think we've entered the phase of America, where they're just another variety of meat and not necessarily upper echelon anymore. That being said, these were pretty ok. Should have gotten more ribs. Overall, Pappy's was pretty wow. Great local spot with a lot of pride and history, excellent ribs, I will definitely try to come back next time I'm in town.

It's not hard to see why The Food Network rated Pappy's as the "#1 rib joint in the country", as this place is next level bbq. You can smell the bbq from down the street and it will instantly make you hungry, even if you just ate... The place has the "cool bbq joint vibes", the employees are ultra-friendly, and it's fair/reasonable priced based on the quality of the food (runs between $40-50 for two people). Strongly recommend getting ribs, but their smoked chicken and turkey are outstanding as well. I didn't love their original bbq sauce (it was too thick and sweet with a heavy molasses flavor), but the hoodoo spicy sauce was out of this world. I would put Pappy's up against some of the other big named bbq joints in the country and they'd hold their own... Definitely worth the stop when in STL.

Twas a dreary day before the 2 Girls 4 Wheels food truck arrived at my workplace. I was feeling off. Maybe it was the lack of sleep, the grey gloom-filled sky that drizzled Colorado's leftover rain down from the Rockies, or simply an underlying existential dread surfacing in front of my face. Lunchtime rolled around and I fashioned myself a sad excuse for a meal: a few slabs of Costco salami and a slice of Pepper Jack cheese tucked between two measly bookends of bread. I peaked outside, noticing a long line of coworkers extending past the iron entrance gates, patiently awaiting their orders. "Too long..." I thought to myself as I slid back into the shadows of my corporate chair. I winced at the clock as their time window inched closer to an end. A bellow from my cavernous stomach thrusted me back outdoors. Optimistically I strolled up five minutes before close, hoping they were still open for business even though the line had been thoroughly demolished by the daily work bell. I muttered something inquisitively. Both girls enthusiastically informed me they had one sandwich left. My ears stretched upward as a smile spread across my face. Shortly after handing over my plastic payment, they informed me their machine was slow to reboot. I offered Venmo but was kindly shot down and sent away with a free masterpiece of a sandwich. Only one ray of sunshine broke through the sea of St. Louis clouds that day and it was there in that moment. In between two perfectly circular toasted buns laid a more than generous amount of grilled steak, topped with juicy caramelized onions, accented with a garlic aioli. All held together in devour-able mouthfuls with melted Provel. Thank you 2 Girls 4 Wheels.

The good part about this food truck is that the menu items are pretty cheap compared to other food trucks and restaurants in the city. I tried the paratha w/ chicken curry and ordered it to go. The wait was a bit long, but I wasn't too bothered by that since it was a busy night. However, when I got home to enjoy my meal it wasn't what I was expecting. The chicken curry was mostly liquid and very little chicken. But the worst part about having little chicken was that the chicken pieces was mostly bone, and I only got a little bit of chicken from the bone. After tasting the curry there were so many bone fragments in there that I had to constantly spit them out while eating. I finally tried the paratha, I was feeling hopeful with the paratha because I really like paratha from other Indian restaurants I've been to. After trying the paratha, it was so hard to chew and I had to soak them on the curry just so they would have some softness. I knocked off 3 stars because of these issues, and gave 2 stars for the location, cheap prices, and ample items to choose from. This food truck has potential to be better, but I had a terrible first experience.
