Utilized this bike shop for repairs for several years now. Some minor issues include:…read more Difficulty communicating by phone. Number on yelp refers to a 1-800 number. Had a tune up, didn't ride the bike for a year, got on it and the SRAM hub shifter doesn't shift - next time I will take on test ride before I leave. The person at front desk was not familiar with bikes and a bike mechanic was not present. She tried to sell me a $50 tune up on a kids $70 bike. I had a loose chain and she said they might not have a smaller chain in stock...obviously not familiar with concept of removing links. So be wary of upcharges and talk to someone that knows bikes. She said the mechanic would call back with an estimate, but never did.. The ended up being fixed at a reasonable price and only what was needed. Henry, the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. I had an injured shoulder and he helped me load my bike in my vehicle. I am purchasing an electric bike and will probably continue to use this shop because it specializes in e-bikes and it is close. I would recommend this shop for people who live nearby and know enough to check the work and an idea of what is wrong.

We checked in, left an ID, signed their waiver, and then we were off to get life vests and paddles/kayaks. They also rent bikes and paddle boards. (We stuck with kayaking for the day.) the weather was gorgeous and the water and scenery beautiful once we got out. I would recommend taking lunch and picnicking on their many tables or surrounding grass area. Another tip, show your reservation for kayaking to the guard/park entrance official that you booked a trip with VKOC and they will waive the $8 park fee. And then enjoy the beaches and scenery.
