Some years ago I went to a Chinese restaurant Fong Mei in the same neighborhood. Loved this experience and expected a bit the same in this restaurant. The look is a very messy Asian style that has had its best time. I've spent a couple of minutes at the desk being ignored by 3 people of the restaurant running around doing nothing specific. After that the service improved but you really had to explain everything in every possible language you know, Dutch not included. With a mix of English and French you get there. The waiter was funny, made some jokes, was relaxed and advised us about the amount of food we were ordering. He was friendly but a bit short of memory, we've repeatedly had to ask for our drinks. The dumplings were tasty, the chicken with cashew nuts a bit tasteless and the garlic ribs were moist. The roasted peking duck was really liked by everyone at the table. So the food was allright, the service was so-so but they lost a star because of hygiene. When you enter a lot of clutter is situated at the bar, the table clots aren't really clean, the chairs have stained fabric and the toilet smelled awful and wasn't cleaned in a long time I suspect. This really disappointed me. The price though was very reasonable, drinks included it was around 25euro pp. read more
