PS: This review is only for the Ice-cream place and not the shop selling other items and produce. We were looking for a sweet treat on our way back to Atlanta and we were delighted seeing the big board of Berry patch so we took the exit and reach this big place. Here is the summary of my experience there: 1) Ambiance 4/5: Not the most attractive place since it is an extension of the product shop but it does the job. You can see the flavors- some of them unique too. 2) Service 4/5 - Not the best since they messed up my order a couple times but in the end it was worth it. 3) Food 4/5: I tried the orange pineapple and pistachio icea cream which I loved. The sweetness was subtle and they were large scoops. I overate them but loved the fresh flavor. My wife tried chocolate almond and didnt love it 4) Value for Money 5/5: It was delicious and worth the price. The Good: 1) New flavors which are not very sweet Not so good: 1) Service 2) Chocolate almond In the end, do visit if you are looking to try fresh ice cream and buy some fresh produce on the way to Atl else you wont miss anything big.

The Berry Patch was recommended to me so I decided to check it out and see the large strawberry. It was a busy place and slightly challenging to find a parking spot. Besides selling ice cream they have a produce shop. I spotted the Atkinson Milling products here as well. They seem to be everywhere in the state. Those items looked good but I just went with the ice cream. The line was long so I figured that was a good sign. The service was friendly and quick. I went with two scoops of the Reeses as one scoop was the kids size and wasn't sure if I could order that. The price was about $5 so not bad. What I was given was more like 8 scoops. A cup was filled with more on top of that. The problem is that this ice cream melts so fast that it drips all over the place. I gave up after a few minutes and threw it in the trash and others were doing that too. The ice cream flavor was ok but nothing special. I'd rather have less of a better quality product.

Cute little touristy place. My husband and I were just out for a drive and come upon The Berry Patch. Evidently, this is a stop for most people headed to the beach. There's an area for pets, ice cream and milkshakes. Fresh fruits and veggies can be purchased along with souvenirs and keepsakes. My husband stated that the port-a-potties were really clean. Play area for the kiddos. No surprise you order your ice cream at the big strawberry. There were a lot of young adults working who were friendly and helpful. This was around 3 o'clock on a Thursday during Holy Week. They had a steady crowd coming in and out. I ordered a kids scoop of butter pecan on a sugar cone and my husband had a lemonade. After we ordered, you wait for your order to be called out which can be kind of confusing if you have duplicate orders. This happened to us but no worries I received my ice cream. Very buttery and creamy. For a kids cone it was big! We sat there and enjoyed watching people come and go, and children playing as I ate my ice cream. I would definitely recommend as a spot to get out stretch your legs, look around, get a treat, and regroup before you continue on your travels.

Absolutely delicious ice cream & cobbler. Truly taste the freshness & passion it was made with. Staff is super friendly. Always bubbly & happy. We don't live in area but always make it a point when we drive through to stop. Dog friendly. Great atmosphere and Farm stand.

Small vanilla in waffle cone

My favorite place to stop on the way home from the beach. Their big strawberry is so cute and I love that they serve the ice cream out of it. The service is great with mostly younger people in the ice cream hut helping with orders. The vanilla and the strawberry ice cream is my favorite and it is hard not to pick up some peach cobbler (seasonal) as well! They have all the fresh produce you can imagine as well as gifts and other merchandise to choose from. I count pass up some fresh heirloom tomatoes and peaches in addition to my small vanilla scoop in a waffle cone. Highly recommend for those with little kids and dogs as this is a great place to stop to stretch out and get the wiggles out. Clean restrooms, a doggie section and a sandy section with corn hole, strawberry rocks, rocking chairs, table of free books a play area.

The flavors are amazing! You can feel the creaminess Of the ice cream. The scoops are very big. I got three because I wanted to try different flavors. But definitely 2 would have been enough. They also offer fruits and vegetables. It's a very vistes place.

You have to stop at this place if you're coming through while they are open. Yes the ice cream is phenomenal. Our favorite is the strawberry and the peach! They have clean restrooms as well. The fruit and vegetable selections are also phenomenal. Most of the staff are young teenagers and they are very respectful. Add this place to your list as soon as possible! Enjoy! Jim

Homemade Butter Pecan

Our must stop family tradition on the way home from the beach. Forever "Strawberry Shortcakes' House" after our daughter called it that when she was just 2 yrs old. Years of homemade butter pecan, and blue vanilla ice cream cones eaten here over 20 yrs. Fresh corn, field grown tomatoes, squash, turnips, peaches and you can't forget the strawberries !! It's very family friendly, with clean restrooms and an area for the kiddos to get their wiggles out. Corn hole boards and and sand area for play. They even offer a free book section. We always pick up a pig ear to bring home for our pup!

The food is good I have visited at least twice. My mom and homeboy enjoy it also. I prefer the cup instead of the cone.

White Hill Farms - Pick your own strawberries

White Hill Farms

Wow, this is definitely a hidden gem, and i am not sure that i want to share it with you all…read more This is a family owned business that grows their own strawberries. Every year we go there, even though it'll take over an hour to drive to, it is well worth the strawberries. These are all pick your own and are non GMO based. They aren't sprayed with pesticides and are able to be eaten off the vine. They had some of the largest strawberries I've ever seen (outside of the genetically modified ones you may get from the stores). They have tons of rows of strawberries to pick from, and there is rarely a chance to find any rows that are completely empty. They sell them at $3/pound, which in my eyes, is great, especially for the quality of these strawberries. This year was a little different, as they were also growing cabbage, lettuce and rhubarb. *though you couldn't pick your own, it was available inside their little cozy store* They had a great selection of hanging flowers as well and we picked one up to hang outside of our house. If you like ice cream, they have locally sourced ice cream that was amazing. my kids love eating it every time. Overall, this is definitely the best place to do 'pick your own' strawberries, and definitely worth the drive.

Great local farm stand with an optional you- pick strawberry farm…read more The stand offers a great variety of fruits and veggies, plants, jars/jams and ice cream. Friendly owners and workers who always just smile at my kids covered in strawberries that they ate in the field :) Note: White Hill also participates in the Pinehurst Farmer's Market (Saturday's 10-1pm).

Can confirm, this great little hidden gym was a lot of fun, both to drive to, as well as experience…read moreonce we arrived. I love that they have a sugar-free option in their ice cream menu, the only part I would've preferred was that they had more than just that single option (for sugar-free selections). That said I have no complaints, everybody here was very pleasant and welcoming and professional, and the product itself was high quality for sure. I would love to give this place five full stars but I'll hold off until they have a few more sugar-free options for folks. I mean it though it's only the fact that they had just one choice of sugar free ice cream, that is the ONLY downside. But I can tell they're on the way up so the next time I go out there I hope to update this review with a fifth star!! That said, I will say we got two desserts here one was the strawberry shortcake. It tasted absolutely phenomenal, very fresh. I wouldn't be surprised if that was homemade ice cream, and it could've been more than a few hours old shortcake. The second dessert we tried was the peach cobbler with the butter, pecan, sugar-free ice cream, I could not tell that it was sugar-free, some of the best sugar-free ice cream I've ever had, And the dessert itself once again tasted extremely fresh. I made the statement after it was all over, that I can absolutely tell (from my experience today at Peaches n Cream) when something is fresh and when it's not. They really know how to do it.
