I was craving nice chilled beer and thought of ordering from here. I was browsing their website and came across Boxer gluten free lager. Whenever possible I try to skip gluten and I wanted to try this beer. I ordered 2 six packs of Boxer gluten free lager and also got 6 pack of Mill Street Organic for my wife. I was ordering around 11 am and I was able to select 2 pm pickup time on same day. I got the confirmation email in 30 mins. I went there between 2 pm and 2:30 pm. Called the store and they brought it out in 2 mins. It was very good and efficient service. For me this is a 5 Star service and process. Thanks!!

I'm referring to the shnook with the brown curly hair who is responsible for handling the recycling of your empty bottles. Yeah, he's got a serious attitude problem. I went there to return some empty bottles, and I guess they were short on change (in the till/cash register). He asks me if I have $0.20 on me (as he only had a loonie in the register) and by handing me the loonie, he would've overpaid me by $0.20. Unfortunately I didn't bring my wallet with me. He looks at me, shakes his head with a cocky disapproving look (like it's my fault they're short on change) and hands me the loonie. As I walk out, this punk sarcastically shouts out "You're welcome" followed by "This fu*king guy". Are you kidding me? It's amazing how they employ these a*sholes and they get away with this kind of behavior. I would've complained to a manager, only my wife was in the car waiting for me; not that I think complaining would've done any good. I only go to The Beer Store to return empties. Fortunately I do my shopping at The LCBO. If you're a beer drinker, you might want to try another location. With the high prices of beer, I just find the attitude unacceptable.

When it comes to selection of wines, spirits and liquors, they have a good amount of the basic selection. Don't be looking for any fancy Sake wines here, because if there's any in stock, there's only one type (and one size). What can I say, it's not huge, but for a town the size of Milton (I believe it's at 70,000 right now) it does to trick.

I spoke with Jason (new owner with his Dad) on the phone to set my bottling date and was already impressed by the friendliness on the phone. We're still somewhat new to the whole bottling thing, and Jason was patient and totally understanding and fun (not my experience bottling anywhere else). Also, you can tell there's a passion for wine, instead of it being "just a job." Other places have charged extra for corks, labels, etc. but it was all included in our price - no surprises. I chose alcohol and every single cider that I tried including the ones on the tour I absolutely love, they have a lower sugar content than traditional ciders that you buy at the LCBO which gives them a lighter refreshing feel. For their regular flavors I thought the draught cider was the best. And for the seasonal they had a sangria cider that was absolutely refreshing as well I tried the cambert cheese I believe.. it was that came with their gooseberry jelly oh my goodness that jelly was absolutely delicious and they do sell it in the market. I also tried their pizza and I thought the pizza was absolutely delicious I got the large which is a shareable I also noted that the staff seemed genuinely happy from the servers to the hostess to the tour guide. In 2025 a lot of places you go it feels like people do not want to be at their place of work so that was nice to experience.

The owner (and sole employee) is a self-admitted alcoholic (telling me on my first visit that he drinks an average of 1.5L of wine per day while AT work, using the excuse that "his customers expect him to taste the wine with them") He eagerly poured me at LEAST a half dozen "samples" of various wines while I was bottling- which were obviously taken from the CUSTOMER PAID batches awaiting their bottling. My last time there, after I had to delay my bottling appointment by 2 weeks, by the time I came in, there were only 24 bottles worth left in my batch. I've been bottling for YEARS, and every single place that I've gone (including a prior visit to Molinara), you always get 30-31 bottles from a batch. I hope he and his other customers enjoyed "sampling" the wine that I paid for. And to top it off, it wasn't the variety I ordered (not a surprise, since he was likely intoxicated when I placed the order) SO unprofessional. I now go down the street to Wine Expert, where the employees are completely sober and I get to take home ALL of the wine I PAY for.
