Willibald Farm Distillery & Brewery is a great spot for a "get together and hangout for hours" sort…read moreof place. Their location is out on a working farm and distillery so it is out of the way via a country road. Their restaurant is great with indoor and outdoor patio seating. Would recommend indoor due to flies and weather. Their drinks are very good and their food surprisingly excellent for a place that's mainly a distillery. We were here as a group of 6 and ordered a bit of everything. Our order: - Caesar Salad (decently sized, everyone got some) - Mushroom Pappardelle (excellent sauce and very silky, every pasta noodle had loads of sauce, the best part of the meal) - Bee Sting (great pizza, comparable with places that just focus on pizza) - Cheese Monger (all the cheese pizza) - Truffle Funghi (not too strong of truffle, just enough and it all came together nicely) - Ontario Burratini (a great bread + dip with peaches, second best part of the meal) Drinks: - Gin Mule (basically a Moscow mule but with Gin) - Spritz (cherry) The service was amazing, food started coming out around 10 mins after ordering. Ordering did take a while as they were quite busy. The attached store sold their brand of drinks, some of which you only could get there. Lots of customers came and went with cases of drinks. We got some gin to bring home as well. They have a drinks stall at St. Jacob's if you are in the area (no restaurant though). For a distillery, not only do they have great drinks, but all their food seems well thought out and a great choice all on its own. The only con is that they are pretty out of the way, but worth the day trip. They have ample parking and you can hangout on the lawn for as long as you like. They have an outdoor bar as well as corn hole and tables for you to hangout at. Board games and picnic blankets encouraged.

The service was excellent, the server made every effort to get to know our names and was very attentive. We ordered a number of dishes, including the funghi pizza and the chicken cutlet. We also got a number of drinks, including their large selection of beer and the delicious gin cocktails. We sat out on their patio, which was lovely. I had a wonderful time and I'm looking forward to coming back for the amazing food and beautiful farm!

In fact, Fabio, the owner, used to distill his product out of SOV before opening up the distillery in June. At the moment, Woods Spirit Co. produces gin and amaro, although they will soon launch a limoncello. Also opening up soon will be a tasting room and lounge, once all the red tape with the city is sorted out. I had the opportunity to visit Woods Spirit Co. tonight as part of a Yelp event (see my previous review for details), and I'm thrilled to have discovered this local distillery. I can't wait to come back once their lounge is open. I had the privilege of trying their products, and they were tasty! Another thing to note is their gender neutral washrooms were excellent. Clean, with all the necessities you need (such as a hook for your purse). The lights in the washrooms were activated by motion sensors, so environmentally friendly too! I am absolutely in love with the Sweet Surrender and the flavour notes of the Woods Amaro that we even got on to go. They also serve food and although we did not get any pasta, it smelled absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back to try more of their drink offerings!!

The free tastings, four in all come with a detailed history if you want one from the service person behind the bar. There are some outstanding products available here only and not yet sold at the LCBO. Took the 50 cent tour and unfortunately it wasn't worth my time. The tour guide was fine but there was very little to see. Quite a disappointment in that respect. Nevertheless I suggest that you visit this place for nothing else but to try some fine whiskies and meet some nice people.

During the winter the tours are only on Saturday and Sunday at 1 currently. We checked the website and found out this info. So I would def go and check out the website before you go. The tour is semi short but very informative. I learned a few things I did not know about how to make Canadian whiskey. Also found out they make numerous other products I never knew they made. Overall the shortness of the tour was made up with the info. The free tasting at the end was nice. I got to try some higher end products I would not have bought a whole bottle without trying. Btw... buy a bottle of the bbq sauce. Sounds stupid but you won't regret it.
