They often have discounted wine not found at other LCBO. The best feature however is the walk-in beer cooler. How many times I've been in there on a scorching summer day. It's a great time to grab beer and beat the heat. Their beer selection of course has the standard domestic beer but also a nice selection. From around the world, including a few good ones from Germany. The staff is friendly and welcoming and they certainly know the 'Barton Regulars' and greet everyone kindly. Highly Recommend

It's our go-to spot before heading into downtown Toronto and checking into our hotel, and we find it to be the perfect store for stocking up on some tasty local options to enjoy later. The store is well organized, easy to navigate, and makes exploring Canadian craft beers fun and hassle-free. The employees are friendly and helpful, which is important because the options in the store can feel overwhelming. They have a small, private lot that offers free parking and the prices are fair. Beer lovers will want to stop here.

The very fact that they take back all alcoholic beverage containers makes them a fan of mine! The bottle return system is actually really straight forward. You separate your bottles into bins, bring them down the sliding conveyor and collect your change. Or you can choose to put your funds towards a purchase, however mine goes straight to my coffee fund.. hehe As for the prices of beer, I can't really comment as I don't drink beer! lol This place is close to home, clean and efficient. I'm a fan! 4/5

The prices are so good here you just can't stop buying bottle after bottle of wine. We picked up a few bottles of Ontario VQA wines from good wineries we toured and sampled in the past. They usually have a wine tasting going on which is great if you're looking to try something new. Their staff are always willing to help out with a pairing and don't make you feel ridiculous for asking. It's a beautiful store the way things are displayed and marketed. There is always a lot of staff on the floor. Oftentimes the website doesn't match up. I've been looking for a specific wine and they don't end up having it even though the website said they had three in stock though. Call and check first before going. The parking lot is a nightmare because of Shoppers Drug Mart, Starbucks and Whole Foods. I dread having to go here on weekends because of this and why I took away a star. There are often long lineups, but they typically call anothe staff member to open up another cash. I went to return a few bottles of champagne the other day and because I no longer had the receipt, I couldn't get my money back. I understand other stores, but since you can only get alcohol from the LCBO in Ontario, where do they think I got it from?! Either way, gift card just means I don't have to pay for my wine later!

I was surprised to find out you can only buy liquor at state run stores called Liqour Control Board of Ontario or LCBO's for short. I went to the one in Waterdown only to find no ango and no Old Forrester, I was shocked because those are pretty standard ingredients and brands. I found out they have an App that allows for searching by location. LCBO doesn't carry ango, but they do carry a local company called Dillon's and they make an aromatic which should work fine and the same location has old Forrester. Drove over to the Dundurn location and parking sucks. It's a small location, but is packed with the good stuff. I guess Waterdown is too rural to stock, but Hamilton is much more densely populated. They have a healthy selection of beer, lots of local stuff, very euro styled. I found their mixers to be lacking so it seems like most people do basic cocktails at home. God a good deal on some rare beer, some rum's I can't find in the states and the other ingredients I found on the app. Customer Service was pretty good, except for the cashier with the bright colored hair, although I learned how much people use air miles here and they are really liberal with their paper bags. Prices were ok. I would definitely just come here because it's got that much better a selection despite being smaller. Use the LCBO app to find first for sure.

Another photo here shows it in a strip mall but really it's a stand alone building in the north side of the mall with plenty of parking on the side. The sections start with domestic with 15 and 24/30 packs. There are colour codes VALUE,IMPORT so you know if you're picking up the domestic or the fancy imported stuff. Closer to the exit of the walk in fridge are the premium beers and import. It's weird I also see molson small sizes in the premium section so there is a lot of double use of labels lol. Bottle return section can be challenging if there are a lot of customers you might be out in the cold. I find this location great not too busy if you visit right time Oh yea you can also order what you want as well and they get it for you -for the expert drinkers who know what they want.
