I came here for a meeting today, and it was a lovely place to sit for a couple of hours chatting and enjoying some drinks. I tried a flat white made with oat milk, which is available for an extra 30p, and afterward I had a soya chai latte. Soya milk also costs an extra 30p. The drinks were a bit on the small side for the cost, but I suppose that's what you get for £2.3 (+.30) in Hackney.
The place offers the standard selection of lattes, americanos, long blacks, flat whites, mochas, and teas like chai and rooibos. On the counter there is also a selection of pastries, cakes, and croissants. One can order things like avocado toast, grilled cheese, or hummus and roasted vegetable sandwiches. I did not try any of the food, but I saw some of it being prepared and it looked quite nice.
The cafe is small, but there was usually at least one free table as people came and went. Not a place to bring a large group, but a good place for a chat between two or three people. Noise level was generally manageable. Additionally, all of the baristas and servers were very friendly. They were helpful, service was quick and kind, and smiles all around. If I need to plan another coffee meeting in Bethnal Green, I might choose to come here again. I'd also like to try a sandwich! read more
