Seams like they put milk instead of creamer sometimes which changes the way the whole drink tastes. Not a fan.

A bit of a wait, but that was to be expected given that it was also Valentines Day. The hostess greeted us and kept us updated on an approximate wait time. Ultimately, waited for about 20 minutes. The wait time proved to be 100% worth! The menu had something to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Our waitress was swamped covering two stations, but so attentive to our table. Coffee, OJ and waters were delivered quickly. Once our order was taken, our food was delivered piping hot within 10 minutes. Our meals were incredibly delicious and very generous in portion size. Will absolutley return next time we are in town.

All while respecting the conversation going on at the table and being mindful not to interrupt. I started with a glass of sweet tea. One sip and I knew I was in the south, for real. Perfectly sweetened, like a glass of 'Southern Champagne' should be. I started with an order of fried pickles. The portion was more than enough to share and they were everything I wanted them to be. Battered and fried, and served with a generous portion of cool and creamy ranch dressing for dipping. A southern staple, and this place did it right. For lunch I had the Reuben with a side of fries. The bread was perfectly toasted and crispy, the sandwich was stuffed with lots of tasty corned beef and sauerkraut, and the fries were piping hot. I'm glad I had a light breakfast that morning because that sandwich was so filling and so good. I noticed that they also serve breakfast all day. My coworkers both decided to get breakfast entrees for lunch, and they looked amazing. Especially those biscuits. The table beside me ordered a huge plate of pumpkin pancakes. I could smell them from the second the server brought them out from the kitchen. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back to check out their breakfast options. This is a charming and quaint little eatery in downtown Lynchburg and I definitely recommend giving it a try if you find yourself on, or near, Main Street.

Upscale without being stiff, comfortable without losing that polished feel. I ordered the jambalaya, and it was a standout. Well layered flavor, not overly heavy, with a nice balance of spice and richness. The proteins were cooked properly and the vegetables still had structure, which matters in a dish like that. It felt intentional, not just thrown together for a brunch menu. Across the table, the Eggs Benedict was equally strong. The hollandaise was smooth and properly seasoned, not overly lemony or thick, and the eggs were cooked right where they should be. That is often where places miss, but this one didn't. Dessert was where things really elevated. The strawberry cheesecake was clean, bright, and not overly sweet, with a good texture that held together without being dense. The chocolate Rasberry glutin-free dessert torte, was rich in the right way. Deep chocolate flavor without crossing into heavy or overwhelming. Service was attentive without hovering, and timing between courses was well paced, which is not easy on a busy holiday like Easter. Overall, this is a place that clearly pays attention to execution. Not just presentation, but flavor, balance, and consistency. That is what separates a good brunch from one you remember. We will be back.

Server wasn't much help and said she was new. Service was slow and embarrassingly bad. Our food was subpar and nothing to write home about (we didn't even take photos) - the best bite was the Thai Chili sauce Brussels. 3 out of 4 at our table had a that a veg side and everyone liked them! My wife had a the filet, which wasn't very tender. We came for dinner based on advertisement of a James Beard award winning chef. We've been to many restaurants (not in LYH) that have a James Beard award winning chef- don't be fooled this one wasn't!!!
