Do not choose The Beacon, and when they rebrand to The Quarters I will be sure to repeat this review to help future students and people avoid this place. When I moved in the room was VERY dirty and still had some of the previous tenants stuff in it. To fix this I tried to work with the 'new management', and they were not very helpful, it has now been ~3 weeks since I moved in and the blinds are still broken and nothing in the bathroom has been fixed except the toilet. Only thing they got done, which is a bare minimum, is cleaning the room and the carpet. And just getting that done took 1 week AFTER move in of me sleeping in the living room on the couch where 3 other guys live... Since I had to deal with all of this my first week into school, my parents were pissed, so I asked to talk to the upper management. The manager, Trinity, who was supposed to connect me to upper management, two times I asked her to get me in touch with upper management, and both times she said the upper management WOULD email or call me, and that never happened. I was hoping going higher up the chain could speed up fixing things and paying my parents back for me having to deal with all the problems that the Beacon / Quarters is supposed to deal with (some sort of compensation for all there mishaps which they have basically ghosted me on that) Issues upon move in: - I moved in to a room that still had some of the guys stuff in it from before me. It was FULL of trash - The carpet was nasty and had stains all over it - The blinds were broken - A bunch of holes in the wall - Bathroom toilet did not flush - Someones bidet was left installed... - Sink didn't drain - Exhaust fan does not work in the bathroom - Many light bulbs out Yelp doesn't let me post photos but I put some on the google review if you want to go look at what you can expect. read more

For crying out loud, clean the place and do some repairs. Bathroom fan inoperable. Back door is a broken down disaster. Carpet was damaged and FILTHY prior to our labor-intensive intervention. The only thing missing was the chalk outline. read more

Toured them when I was a freshman, nothing special. It's a mix of the property and some of the residents. Auburn is just growing and other places are either nicer for more (worth it though) or cheaper and further (usually not as nice). Beacon is average but doesn't provide anything unique for its residents. Most residents live there for the cheaper rent but they don't respect the property, neighbors, or their own units. read more

As a parent I would suggest you do not put your children in any apartment at the Beacon. It is not a safe environment (black mold in our case) lack of response from property Management on course of actions to remedy the issues. My Son went into the office at least three times in one semester to let them know their Ac (which is in a locked hall closet) was leaking and not once did anyone come and fix it. When he moved in last summer one of his roommates rooms was all wet and full of mold as well. Clearly this is an ongoing issue that isn't being properly addressed. He showed up at his apartment beginning of July to find Black and purple mold all over the ceilings, up the walls, in the floors, appliances and every rug. At this point I have ZERO idea what is being done to remedy the situation, what company if any they have hired to do remediation and when and if I will be inhabitable by my Son before school begins. They refuse to put him in another building or apartment either because they don't have one or don't care. Paying rent for an unsafe, uninhabitable disgusting apartment. I am seriously concerned for my Sons health with him having lived there for a year and seemingly trapped there now. Infuriating. read more

This place is awful. They told me I could move in early and then told me I couldn't and kept switching my room. My car was towed even though I am a resident here. Our room was disgusting when I moved in even though it apparently had been cleaned. The management is terrible and maintenance takes FOREVER. I have had lost mail and wrong mail on my P.O. Box. Terrible. I wish that I'd inspected this place and read reviews prior to letting my college student live here. I wouldn't have signed the lease. There have been several problems and the front office/Property Management have been NON-RESPONSIVE. There are so many issues and the place is in disrepair. The apartments beside him all smoke cigarettes and WEED. The apartment above him constantly smoke WEED. See straggly looking people just roaming around and it feels UNSAFE. Seems like a different person in the office each time we have an issue and no one takes responsibility for problems. Saw several apartments had flooded while moving my kid in.... these buildings are in obvious disrepair. RUN -- DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT RENTING HERE. read more

I am TOTALLY DISGUSTED with the amount of dirt and BLACK MOLD in my daughter apartment when we moved her in. Freezer still had food/trash left in it. Many things were broken in her apartment that should have been addressed before she moved in...hanging stove door handle, broken patio door with exposed glass, cabinet under sink was collapsing, broken drawers that fell right out when opened, etc. When the office was informed they acted surprised...REALLY??? Auburn is an amazing place to live. The staff is very friendly here and it is in a great location!

Constant problems regarding the unit whether that be; leaking, AC unit not working, or faulty lights. Office never knows what's going on. I will call the office yet the person on the line never knows what to do and always has to ask a high up (only two that work in the office know what to do, but what do you expect from the office being run by college kids). Overall horrible experience and not worth the money to live here. Buyer beware! Day of move in, garbage in the apartment and in the balcony. Balcony door would not lock. Door knob fell off on one bedroom. Shower head fell off in one room when testing the shower. Dishwasher was not working. One week in, kids discovered the floor in the kitchen was weak. It was declared unsafe and the entire floor had to be replaced. While the dishwasher is currently on order, kids were washing dishes in the sink. Water started pouring out into the NEW floor. Maintenance eventually arrived and shut off the water so they washed dishes in the bathtub. Went to was towels from mopping up the kitchen mess and within 5 minutes, sudsy water filled the kitchen and was flowing out the front door. We're paying $600 a month each...3 kids...$1800 a month. No dishwasher. No laundry. Beware. read more

These apartments suck! They try to charge you for every maintenance request even its their own equipment malfunction and then tell lies like they have 24/7 maintenance! They do not! Also, if u have a problem the next day they change the policy so that they won't have to solve ur problem again...and the policy always works against you. I DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

I just moved here and one of my vehicles got towed. The parking spaces are not labeled but they want to enforce a parking policy. The manager was helpful and is going to give me a UBER gift card so I can pickup my car that was towed. read more

I have lived at The Beacon for two years and I can say that I really enjoyed my first year of living here. The staff was always nice to me and the maintenance team always fixed any problem that I had in a timely manner. However, something changed during my second year here. The gym was often dirty and provided no disinfectant spray or paper towels. I notified the office and they cleaned the gym and provided supplies, but within a couple of weeks the gym was dirty again and out of supplies. As a result, I started going to another gym. On another occasion, I was having recurring noise problems from a neighbor. I contacted the office four times about this issue and they did not do anything about it until I was able to email them a video of how loud the noise was. Lastly, in the middle of my lease, the business started using a new payment system that charges the residents almost $20 as a "service fee" to simply pay their bill. The worst part about this was that The Beacon did not tell the residents about this new policy. It was up to the residents to figure it out. This second year at the Beacon has left me feeling like the business takes advantage of college students. They brush off the residents and do not take their comfort seriously. read more

I added one star so that everyone can see this ! DO NOT RENT HERE OR SEND YOUR STUDENT HERE. They front staff is extremely unprofessional and rude especially Amber. My daughter moved in for her first semester at Auburn and unfortunately had to stay the entire year at these apartments. They have cockroaches and rodents, they lie about the first and last months rent trying to seek more money. I was told by Amanda that because I paid the last months rent they could not refund me , even though I paid it in advance when my daughter first moved in. She actually told me to call my bank and they can seek to refund me. She then hung up after I asked for the corporate office number. read more

I have lived at Eagles Reserve for the past two years and I have come to the conclusion that Eagles Reserve is the worst apartment complex in Auburn. The staff and management does not care about their residents, they do not keep up with maintenance, they write fake reviews online, and they take away amenities (such as the basketball court). Also, the construction equipment takes up many of the parking spots, the rates have gone up for this upcoming year just because of a few small, meaningless renovations to some of the buildings, and the grounds are disgusting. If you are considering living there, I strongly advise against it. read more
