My 6yr old and I nipped in at 6:30PM on a recent trip to St Ives and couldn't have been more impressed. The decor is trendy, the service is excellent and the food is excellent. The waitress found us some space tucked in the corner at a little bar area but we were seated in minutes. The menu is interesting and there are lots of 'quirky' GBK style things. Great if you like that sort of stuff but I'm a cheeseburger guy and that's what I had. Rupert (the tiny taster) had a children's burger, which was still £6 but he ate the lot - and he's a burger aficionado. In short - this is a great place but expect to pay London prices for a premium burger. The real differentiator is their desire to do everything in the 'right' way. All of the decor is reclaimed, the meat is locally and organically sourced, even the cola is non-branded and made with agave nectar (instead of high-fructose corn syrup). My only complaint (more of an observation really) is that the music is quite loud - great for atmosphere but it was all a bit much for a very tired 6yr old. If you enjoy a good burger and you're happy to pay for it then you must try out this trendy joint.

When it arrived i got excited with the tasty cream perched on top only to find it very thin and lacking in salted caramel taste. Regretting my choice too share one we then chose some mother clucker fries and pulled pork ones. Mine were just soggy fries with lots of cheddar on..the chicken ones did look better.
