The staff at the Y club does not require IDs however, if you go in the staff at the front desk, always ask for a photo ID and will not take my safe at home ID, which is what I am required to carry. Every single time it's an issue and they have to call Courtney over. When you pick up for aftercare the gentleman that is always there sits at a makeshift desk and refuses to get up to come to your car to have you sign out your kids, not a big big deal but when you have an infant in your car all the time it's very inconvenient and I do not like leaving him in the car alone. I say this every single time and every single time he refuses to come to my car so I can sign the girls out. There have been a couple other instances and I'm hoping the school year just goes a lot smoother.

I had squirrels in my attic during spring, when mama squirrels are nesting and giving birth. There is no shortage of squirrels in my neighborhood in south city but even so I couldn't bring myself to hire people who would kill them. Garry and his folks thoroughly explained the squirrel mindset and nesting habits, waited until babies were old enough to leave the attic, and blocked all the entries except one with a "one way door" for the squirrels to leave and not return. (What's worse than killing adult squirrels? Starving the babies whose mom couldn't get back in to feed them and having them rot in your attic.) Once the temporary camera confirmed no more squirrel activity the workers came back and blocked off that entry too. I feel better that all the possible entryways for critters are now solidly blocked with critter-proof metal that blends neatly with the fascia on the house.

I love this. Our new trash cans are still 95 gallons, but they are a little taller and narrower, which I like. We have had very high winds, and they have not tipped over at all. Great job!

I will have to get dirt and fill in the holes. I drove on of these trucks for years. On flat ground a driver can do this job and not leave a scratch if they care. I really thought I was going to love this but in the end too many things bothered me about it…read more First, we had a reservation for 10 for the 3 hour adventure but didn't get started until almost 10:30. Some of that time was waiting for the last 2 people to show up which they did at 10 or few minutes after. After that we weren't sure what the hold up was. Sean was our guide. Perhaps he isn't really a "people person " or he was having a bad day. He didn't seem into it but the worst part was that he left us. After the 3 of the 5 sites we saw him only 1x maybe 2x. He gave us no indication that we were going to be on our own. One other guy did pass under us and asked if we were doing good but I think he was just passing by. I was with a friend and when either one of us had done zip line previously there were people to help or over see at each end of a line. Obviously this was different. So glad we didn't have an emergency. Another issue I had was the landing areas esp for site 2- the wood chips were built up so high, all 6 of the people in our ground fell or landed pretty hard. One lady thought her back was bleeding. The last 3 zip lines I didn't fall but it wasn't pretty site either I'm sure. Ha. I started in a group of 6 but then only my friend and I completed the last 2 sites. I don't think that had anything to do with our guide but was a more a reflection on those folks. Their platforms at the top of the trees are very small so when you reach the end of an "obstacle " it was hard to stand on platform to unhook from the cable. The bumpers (not sure of right term) extended too far away from the platform on quite few of the trees which added to difficulty. It was nice that they water at each of the sites. Also their store prices on items that you might need such as gloves were very reasonable. While we were completing site 5 we saw a deer right below us so that was cool. Tips: gloves with exposed fingertips are better especially if you want to take pictures, wear older clothes and look at as many pictures as you can find of the " adventures" so you know what to expect.
