Well worth the drive, this Swanky, clean, and trendy shop is stocked with everything a gentleman needs for his grooming desires! Let's not forget the experienced ladies taking great care of their barbering needs! They offer drinks to their clientele, and you can even play a game or 2 of pool on a beautiful pool table while you wait! Nestled in an adorable shopping center in Brentwood, this salon has it all! My husband left pampered and his beard looking fresh and well groomed! He was extremely pleased with his entire experience!

Women have thousands of places they can go to be pampered, whether it's a simple manicure or…read morefull-on spa treatment. For men, our options are severely limited. Thankfully, the Boardroom came to town. Established in an affluent suburb of Dallas in 2004 and catering to those who can afford a pricey haircut worth every penny, it's been a perfect addition to the North Brentwood area! Even their basic haircut includes a shampoo and one free water, soda, or beer. The Benchmark cut is my preference, adding a face and scalp massage, a second free drink, a hot towel, and more! Perhaps the best part was the paraffin wax hand dip that makes hands feel incredibly smooth, especially during the winter when they're dry and cracked. The Boardroom even has a pool table, and I'm pretty sure I could have stayed to play a round if I had asked. Although maybe that's just a prop? But aside from all the perks and the upscale atmosphere, here's the bottom line. Do they have employees who can cut a great head of hair, like noticeably better than other salons? Because if they don't, then even all those bonuses wouldn't be worth the price. And the answer is an emphatic yes! It's the best haircut I've had in decades! And I will definitely return!

BEAST!! Ok real…read moretalk, I've had my hair cut by a female barber once about ten plus years ago that didn't end well and since then have never even considered trying that gender of barbers again...until today. In my search of barbers so far I've found inconsistencies, barbers who rather take smoke breaks during haircuts while you wait, barbers that don't listen to how you want your hair cut!, then I lucked up and found a good barber but that shop is in Murfreesboro about 30mins away :( well today I needed something close by and even though my experiences on this side of town have sucked I gave another look on yelp to see if my fellow yelpers ran across anyone new over here. To my surprise there were some reviews for Shawna At Hats Off Classic Barbershop that had all 5 stars from most everyone..can my fellow yelpers be misleading or overly hyped?? Hmmm so I decided to check her out. Shawna is straight FIRE with clippers! (That means she can cut really good!) I showed her a picture of what I wanted in hopes as usual to look something close to it when done and to my great satisfaction it looked 1,000 x's BETTER!! It's been a longtime since I've gone to a barber on this side of town and once I've gotten home didn't find discrepancies I had to fix with my own clippers , BUT NOT THIS TIME! Everything from my edge up to my Mohawk fade was on point!! My only problem is that by posting this I have to share her with others looking for a barber out this way :( but it's my duty as an elite to provide you guys with great or horrible services no matter the location:) lol I will be RETURNING! So I went through Booksy app and made appointment with Mr. Renfroe for a 515 haircut. Went to work an hour earlier so I could get off work an hour early to make my way across town in traffic so I could be there on time. I arrived at 453pm...walked in and sat down, It's a nice shop with ten or more barbers in it. Nice chill vibe , good mix of culture with rap music playing on one side and Spanish/latin music on the other but neither one too loud. SOOO after about 10mins of walking in I received a text from Mr Renfroe that it would be 530 for my appointment due to him running behind...Ok no problem only 15mins right....WRONG!. ....548 rolls around and I'm seeing he's finally finishing up dude in chair...dude gets up and ANOTHER guy who's apparently had been waiting as well hops in the chair! WTH?! So I gather myself before I get irate...get up and approach Mr Renfroe inquiring about my appointment that was at 5:15 and his only reply was "Yea I'm running late but I gotcha " ... No Dude You Don't! It's after 6pm and you're starting another client that's gonna take you at least an hour to finish! Which means I'm not going to get in the chair till at least 7pm ish! THATS BS! So again I ask what's the purpose of making an appointment through the app that will charge 1/2 of the price if you cancel too late or no show but I was neither! Piss poor planning on the part of the barber! It shouldn't matter on whether if it's your regular clients or new clients...if the client is hella late and cuts into other appointments the right thing to do is be a professional barber should let that client know he will have to be rescheduled or wait! Not push your on time clients appointments back over an HOUR AND MORE! So basically I ended up wasting time...was not able to get haircut cause no other barbers in there were available... I will never select Kee of life Cuts/Mr. Renfroe EVER AGAIN nor come to this location!!
