Korey Hutson was my barber. I didn't like the fact that barbers at Uncle Classic are ranked and priced differently based on their "skills and experience." From a client's perspective it made me feel I was somehow getting less quality of service from the same brand team. This is not how I should feel when calling for an appointment or information. But, everything happens for a reason. My experience with Korey, however it was decided that he should be paid less, was nothing short from stellar. He just wants to make me look good and carefully analyzes before making his cuts confidently. I am glad we both took a chance on each other and gained valuable perspective about relationships between a stylist and a client. Hopefully, I tipped him enough to express this. I'm not sure an extra $5 bucks up charge would have gotten me a better experience from a "better" stylist or if that amount is worth more than potentially scaring off clients from people like Korey but I have no problem with including that towards his tip instead. Trust your team and trust your talent Uncle! read more

Literally, the worst haircut I've had in the last 10 years. April. Do not go to her. Classic "tell her how u wear it and need it cut" and she cuts It some crazy other way. Unacceptable. Straight painful to wake up and look at each morning when I wake up. She shouldn't have a license. Period. If I could get my money back and knew it would lessen the sting, I absolutely would. Korey is the absolute best. He cuts mine, my 16 and 18 years olds' hair. He has turned the teenagers hair into masterpieces, even when other people have destroyed it. Spent $40 for a mediocre haircut. Longer in some places and shorter in others. Even showed a picture and video of what I wanted and it came out much much shorter. I spent almost three months trying to grow out my hair now I'm back at square one and have to grow it all back out again. I simply wanted a trim. I lost 90% of my hair. Don't bother with the executive hair stylists. They don't know what they're doing and absolutely not worth the extra $10. I just moved here from Michigan and if anyone knows anything about getting your haircut you hate finding a new place to go. Well it took me three long days of searching the Internet and Instagram to make sure I found someone good, and a shop that would let you book online. Well I'm finally glad I stopped in here to get a haircut. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by two of the staff members and one politely asked if I would like anything to drink even. Kena was the woman who could my hair and she did an amazing job. I'm someone who is super picky, and she handled everything like a pro, while making sure we communicated smoothly to make sure I got the cut I wanted. I've been going to the Cool Springs location for 4 years. Kenny is the best Senior Barber and always consistent on kindness and quality. All of the hair stylists are great. If I can't get my preferred stylist I'm confident in having any other stylist cut my hair. It was time for my son to get his first haircut and of course I was a little nervous as to how he would do only being 18 months old. I know there are different salons geared toward kids and plenty of options in general in this area. My late grandpa was a barber, and so I really wanted to take my son to a barber shop type setting. After reading good reviews about Uncle Classic, I booked an appointment with Kenny, who had a good review with another mom who's small son likes him. I really wanted to book on a weekend where my husband could come assist so maybe I could get some good photos to document the occasion (I enjoy photography), but when I went to book day of on a Saturday, they were booked full. Since I was scheduled to work the following weekend, I went ahead and pressed my luck and booked for a Tuesday morning and took him by myself. When we arrived, we were greeted at the desk and asked if we needed anything to drink. After being seated, we were ready to get things started right on time. To make things easier on everyone, my son sat in my lap. I had brought toys and something yummy for him to drink to keep him busy. He held his drink but didn't even sip on it much. He did absolutely fabulous and Kenny did a great job with him. Of course an 18 month old wants to turn his head constantly toward the action, but we did manage to get a good cut with no tears! And the guy at the desk was so nice to get a couple of photos of my son and Kenny while he was sitting in my lap. And at the end, I got up and was able to take a few more photos of my son in the chair by himself as Kenny finished up. Kenny wrapped up a snippet of his hair for me and we were on our way! We will return. Other pros: Much less hairspray in the air here, and a lot less use of hair dryers (my son is scared of the noise) than at a normal salon. Reasonably priced in my opinion. read more
