Very unprofessional. We were supposed to get married last year but postponed to 2021. We paid the deposit towards the ending of 2019 and asked for a contract after paying our deposit but never received it. During the beginning of this year I reached out several times via email to Daniel because of the uncertainty during this pandemic, we wanted to see if we could get our deposit back. NO response at all. Then I finally texted him and this is the exact response I received. "Aloha sorry for the delayed response we with all of our events canceled due to covid we are trying our best to get refunds to our customers. Refunds are non-refundable but we are trying to give as many refunds as possible within 1yr from when they were received." First of all "refunds are non-refundable" makes no sense. This review is a long time coming. Last year, for our wedding reception after researching and meeting up with several different bartending companies Daniel's company stood out from the rest. The Bartenders are incredibly professional, with quick responses, poise, and never leave you hanging. Not only that but they give you a tasting to show off what they can do, and are more than willing to share their knowledge and recommendations for typical amounts of drinks to purchase and crowd pleasing choices up front without any contracts signed or what not. I CANNOT believe that I'm the first one to review this company! Considering the level of service and professionalism that both my new husband and I received along with the MANY compliments from all of our guests (not even exaggerating) for our wedding reception, you would think that they've been doing this as the same business since forever. First off, I am definitely someone who does tons of research and asks even more questions prior to hiring someone. Being that we were looking for service for our wedding reception, the bar was set much higher (pun intended). I don't just look for price but moreso quality worth paying for. Where we had our reception, we were allowed to bring in our own alcohol and didn't even require a licensed bartender to serve our guests. The original plan was to have two of my (licensed) bartender friends serve and we provide everything else. Sounds like an easy plan, right? We'd save money and have somewhat professionals taking care of my guests. WRONG. We started planning out how much alcohol we needed (not having the slightest idea) and then having to factor in all the mixers and cups and straws and stirrers and ice and how everything was getting down there... and then realized that the logistics of our bar was turning out to be a nightmare. Yes there is the simple fact of asking our family or friends to help but, for once, I didn't want any of our guests to be lifting a finger and just wanted everyone to enjoy. So, with almost a month to go and desperate, I started messaging as many bartenders as I could find. Daniel was one of the first to respond back and, although I was in contact with a few others, he was the only one who was very detailed in answering ALL of my questions. His prices seemed a little higher than some but, if you took a really good look at it and asked the right questions (ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS), they were actually worth the costs considering what they included and also what's not listed (like a chalkboard sign that they provide of the drink menu). With every answer that he gave, I had three more questions.. and he answered everyone one of them. I gave him our original budget and he made suggestions as to what we could do to meet it by adjusting our alcohol purchase list. They provide all the mixers, paper goods, setup their own, and even offered to pick up the alcohol from us when we finished purchasing from Costco. We went over our shopping list to determine if we had enough alcohol. We already knew it but he suggested ordering from Costco because of their return policy. He explained any extra costs that could arise (if we wanted specialty mixers or garnishes) and approximation of those costs beforehand. At no time did I ever feel that Daniel was out to make extra bucks off of me and it sincerely felt like he had our best interest in mind the entire time. Then the day of the wedding arrived. Daniel had started serving our guests around 4:30p for cocktail hour and my new husband and I arrived at 6:15p after taking pictures. Anytime people approached us and we asked if they were having a good time so far, 4 out of every 5 people would mention how great the bartenders were! There was a great vibe all night and no one complained about anyone being too drunk or waiting too long for their drinks. The bartending station was pretty far from where our sweetheart table was but Daniel still made personal trips to bring us our drinks and to periodically check on us throughout the night to make sure we were okay and our glasses were full! Wow! Here in Hawaii there are parties that are thrown where you have your family and friends help you out, and that's all well and good. But if you don't want to deal with running out of alcohol or ice or with people taking too long to serve drinks, hire professionals like Daniel and his team. And if you're as fortunate as us, you end up having an amazing business relationship where you pretty much get treated like you were their family, anyway! We took the chance of hiring professionals to take care of everything and crossed our fingers in hopes that they would be worth the money at least for the convenience. Oh they were definitely worth the money, and more. In hindsight, I would encourage others to budget for bartending services like The Bartenders instead of trying to cut corners like we tried to do. They didn't just make life convenient for us, they were flexible and accomodating and even very understanding about a payment mishap on the night of (a misunderstanding between myself and our wedding planner). I highly recommend Daniel Peaster and The Bartenders if you are looking for classy, quality, and professional service for any of your bartending needs. So, Daniel P. I am hesitant to write this review because of what I have to confess. Daniel was hired for our wedding. My wife found him searching online. He was her 3rd or 4th call. She left a message and Daniel was the first to call back. She commented about how quick he was to respond compared to the other bartenders she contacted. A couple other bartenders called my wife back a couple days after Daniel. She had already made up her mind that she wanted Daniel as the bartender due to his quick response, kindness, and professionalism. Throughout the wedding planning my wife said that Daniel was the easiest vendor to work with. She told me what Daniel was doing and what he offered as part of his package and other things. It seemed reasonable and too good to be true. So, Daniel here is the part where I have to confess. It was the week of the wedding and we met up with you. You had on very fashionable attire and dressed like you were enjoying your life in Hawaii. When I saw you I was reminded of a recent documentary on Netflix I saw. It's called Fyre. You talked with knowledge about drinks and again you seemed reasonable with your package. Too reasonable I thought. If you have seen Fyre you probably know where I'm headed with this. After meeting with Daniel I asked my wife what his website is? She said she didn't know. I asked her about reviews. She said she didn't read any. I asked her what did she know about him. She said he was the first to call her and was the nicest and most helpful. Daniel, my confession is that because you seemed too good to be true I had concerns of being scammed in part because I saw Fyre before meeting you. I also wrote down your license plate number when I offered to help you with loading stuff. Your ID card I asked to have a copy of for insurance purposes was again protection against being scammed (your ID and license plate number have been permanently deleted). Daniel even told me a story of another customer who jokingly had concerns. Buddy I am sorry I doubted you! You and your team were awesome! The best way I can describe Daniel and his team is they were present, but not intrusive. That, in my opinion, is the best way to be for a wedding. Professional, reasonable, polite, responsive, helpful, thoughtful, and attentive are other words that come to mind as well. I have also come to the same conclusion as my now wife. You were the easiest vendor to work with. Sir, you and your team did a fantastic job with class, style and great drinks! There was literally nothing I had to worry about regarding you and your team. After browsing through Yelp trying to find bartending services for our wedding, we happened to find The Bartenders and ever since our first phone call, Daniel was so helpful and professional. Daniel was always so pleasant to speak with and always willing to answer every single one of my million questions. We're one of the couples who had to cancel our wedding in 2020 due to regulations and Daniel was more than understanding about that, assuring us we can postpone and plan everything we already talked about for the wedding for another time.
