The cafe is excellent value for money, good service, local home baked foods, yummy cakes and desserts, cooked foods or a simple sandwich, (freshly made, with salad and crisps on the side). The cafe is very popular but not noisy. I am disabled and this shop is a godsend as I cant walk around big shops and supermarkets but I can get most things here.

There was also another stand that had fruit in a cup with chocolate.Our best deal were some arepas that were half off because it was closing time and they wanted to get rid of them. This isn't the place to take pictures, but rather to immerse yourself in all the goodness that is here.

I loved that everything was put in paper bags, not plastic. I read that the market has been around since the 9th century, which I loved knowing. A short walk down the hill brings you to beautiful neighborhoods with cobblestone roads and the huge cathedral. It's a lovely area overall.

On various days and hours there are bustling people shopping for fruits, veg, meats, and other goods. While on other hours the lower level offers tables to munch on lunch items such as freshly made sandwiches, tea, coffee and desserts. Upper level offers proper dining with a rustic feel. Need a loo, that is here too! Overall a delightful experience with several visits during my stay in town
