A vast, amazing, variety of Roses with helpful advice on choosing a perfectly named rose for that Special Occasion. The Clematis section is always good, too. Nursery staff are real experts and will spend time explaining & advising. I am always spoilt for choice here. All this in a lovely setting that you just can't help wandering around, there are hidden treasures at every turn. Watch out for the Elephant !!! Shame it is closed on Sundays. They have enlarged the Car park so there is plenty of space now.

Have just been to this Garden Centre and had a really happy couple of hours. I have been before but…read morenot for years and as we were passing saw that they had now opened a Coffee Shop so in we went. We were greeted at the door by a friendly member of staff who pointed us in the right direction. Coffee area is only small but lovely home made cakes & sandwiches. There Christmas area is on different levels and totally inspiring with imaginative displays that you just want to copy. A very wide selection of unusual gifts and books, as well as some different gardening gifts. In addition there were some really good offers. We spent far too long there but found some super presents that we are well pleased with. The plant section is vast with experts on hand to advise. They stock everything from Bedding to Perennials to Trees & Shrubs to Fruit & Vegetable plants. There were plenty of happy, friendly staff willing to help and there is a large car park. Entrance is diagonally opposite Pembury Hospital & almost directly opposite the Ramada Hotel. They are open every day. It is the most enjoyable shopping experience we have had in a long time.

Her displays are always different, amazing & uncommon flowers that you have never seen before, sometimes using plants from her own garden. People kept telling me about this place but it took me ages to find it. Turn off the A22 to Ashurstwood it is on the right at the top of the hill from Forest Row and on the left passed the war memorial from East Grinstead. It is easy to miss this treasure hidden away beside the cottage. It is between the Blacksmiths & the tennis courts. Park in the layby at the entrance to the tennis courts or just along the road in the little free car park then walk, carefully, back towards the forge. Just after you pass the field/tennis court gates there is a wooden five bar gate, go in, you have arrived !!! There is always a beautiful display of plants at the entrance to the little shop. There is not only a wonderful selection of unusual flowers in this tiny treasure chest but also really imaginative containers and gifts. Nothing ordinary here. Not the cheapest flowers around but there is something for all pockets and she is frienmdly, approachable and more than happy to make suggestions to suit your budget. From Wedding flowers to little bunches of herbs to your chosen plant in your chosen pot to birthday bouquets to a posy of anemonies. Everyone always love the flowers & gifts I get from here. There are 2 of these shops pretty much facing each other either side of the street. One sells…read moreeverything garden and DIY related. The other selling a fantastic range of cook and houseware. Both are definately worth a look as they are like little aladdins caves, full of treasures and certain to have what you are looking for! Staff are really knowledgable and are happy to answer any questions you may have or point you in the right direction if you are stuck. Prices are reasonable, no more expensive than anywhere else in the town and generally I've always found there is a really nice atmosphere to both shops.

The farm shop itself is full of both fresh farm prduce which I did find was a bit too pricely(compared to other farm shops) ..but had loads of variety in perishables and was pretty busy. The best is all these different nuts and raisins that come coated in youghurt and the home-set youghurts. They do have a good selection of pickles and preserved meats too if anyone is interested. The garden section is lovely but again very expensive you can also have fun and refreshment in their cafe which is very pleasant.

They also have a good range of lino and it is very reasonable prices. They will deliver for you free of charge if you live in Gillingham and they dont take weeks either for you to get your goods. Some items are available to take away with you, or delivery can be arranged, with premium delivery time slots available for an extra charge. Staff are helpful and polite.
