The downstairs reception area doesn't have AC, but is equipped with a lot of fans, which is a great bonus. It has a white ceiling which is great for photographer's lighting. The ceremony space is under a beautiful oak tree, with benches. The only downside is that from a photographer's point of view the ceremony site is angled in a way that you get a lot of distracting items in the background when capturing people coming down the aisle. The property itself is gorgeous to photograph the couple on, there is a long drive filled with huge oak trees with Spanish moss hanging down. When the sun sets it streams through these trees creating a beautiful warm glow. There are cows and horses in the fields next door completing that country style. All in all it's a great barn venue. I've just knocked off one star for the lack of AC and the distractions in the background from my point of view.

Fire pit, ax throwing, archery, corn hole.....no problem. You get to choose your own catering company, DJ and lighting. There is even a photo opportunity with one of their horses. I thought that the covered pavilion was lovely and a fantastic place to dance the night away. The dressing rooms, kitchen and restrooms...all perfect. The lake and woods create an atmosphere of relaxation and is wonderful for photos. There are a few cabins by the lake for overnight stays.

We were driving to Ocala months ago when my gal wanted me to stop for coffee. We were flying up the turnpike and wit a quick map search I saw a Dunkin Donuts off the next exit. I followed the route and as I got closer I realized I was in the villages. She didn't know what that was, so I didnt say anything. When we parked just outside the square she said, "wow what a great square, where is this?" I just pantomimed like I didn't know and we parked and walked into the plaza. there were dozens and dozens of booths. We were there right when it opened at 9am so not that many patrons yet but the vibe was amazing. Smiles were everywhere. We have been back many times(including this past weekend). We cant seem to pass on a Saturday without stopping. either for the bread, produce, mushrooms, empanadas or small gifts for family. It's always a win.
