I've tried a couple times to add the farmers market that is here, but couldn't. So I'd like to point out how great it is here. We were driving to Ocala months ago when my gal wanted me to stop for coffee. We were flying up the turnpike and wit a quick map search I saw a Dunkin Donuts off the next exit. I followed the route and as I got closer I realized I was in the villages. She didn't know what that was, so I didnt say anything. When we parked just outside the square she said, "wow what a great square, where is this?" I just pantomimed like I didn't know and we parked and walked into the plaza. there were dozens and dozens of booths. We were there right when it opened at 9am so not that many patrons yet but the vibe was amazing. Smiles were everywhere. We have been back many times(including this past weekend). We cant seem to pass on a Saturday without stopping. either for the bread, produce, mushrooms, empanadas or small gifts for family. It's always a win. read more

Love this square. Always lots of options. Live music every night from 5-9. Drink huts have good drink specials and offer a variety of mixed drinks, beer and wine. If you don't like to drink, Dunkin is on one of the corners and there is an Ice Cream shop too (Scooples). The bands offer a lot of variety in the types of music played. There are plenty of restaurants around the square for a nice meal and a lot of seating to enjoy the entertainment. They have stadium seating and folding chairs you can put out yourself. You can also bring your own chairs, which a lot of people do and there are other benches, tables and chairs throughout. The square regularly has market nights, festivals, etc., and on Saturday Mornings, there is the farmer's market until 1 or 2pm. We enjoy driving up in our golf cart, grabbing a drink and listening to the music. Our favorite spot is between Tommy Bahama and the Rustic Rose, that breezeway has a few outdoor couches, tables and chairs. It's just the perfect distance from the stage to still enjoy the music, but you can hear each other talk. Just don't steal my spot! Parking is abundant. Just go behind the main buildings to large parking lots. If you come in a golf cart, it's even easier. Parking and entertainment are FREE to all - you don't have to live in the villages to enjoy the fun here. read more

Arts & Crafts Festival July 2024 - only 1 food vendor. The way the Villages operates festivals is ridiculous. Any festival anywhere else has a plethora of options and supports their vendors. Once again, The Villages loves to provide less than events. read more

We love coming to this non smoking venue of nightly entertainment. It's located in The Villages, Florida. The nightly bands are different but geared to the older crowd. Music from the 70's on up. There are folding chairs and covered bleachers. Lots and lots room for dancing . Very common to see line dancers, couples, and solo dancers just doing their own thing. It's all good. Tonight, we are seeing Anita Drink three person band and lemme tell you, it's great. The mother/daughter team remind me of a mix of Stevie Nicks and Bonnie Raitt. Their drummer does an very fine Johnny Cash bass vocal. We just might stay the whole three hours of free entertainment! Drinks are served on the corners of the square and the whole thing is surrounded by dining and shops. read more

Cool place to take a walk and shop the different stores and try out the restaurants and bars. Today, they had a festival and there were all kinds of booths, food, games, etc.. they also have live music every night with bars right outside to get drinks. read more

Charming community atmosphere. There are many shops and various eateries, from hamburgers to steaks, as well as many beer/ wine bars. I recommend a visit to Brownwood Paddock Square. This is a pretty cool area. It's a little more upscale and pricey than other Squares in The Villages. And therefor maybe not quite as fun, but still a very nice area to hang out. Mainly because of the free nightly live music. Definitely worth checking out. read more

This is the newest and my favorite square of the villages. Music everyday 5-9, bar huts open and nice restaurants around it. Worth the trip

Love love love when I find these kind of shopping centers. It's set up as a square with retail and restaurants out the outside and in the inside center is the area for entertainment. Some of the highlights are Tommy Bahama, Wolfgang's Bakery, various jewelry stores, Golf stores since the Villages is a Golf course community, and some restaurants like City Fire & Gator's Dockside. There's also a movie theater. I'd definitely come back and check it all out! read more

Far from the house we find this place where seniors are concentrated. There are variety of golf carts .. people have entertainment people who play music. very funny. read more

Great place to have fun nightly and go dancing. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Harvest is my Favorite! Dog friendly too.

Great little town, however a lot of the area has vacancies. The area is definitely growing, as they continue to build new homes south of the Brownwood area. The Theater that is one of their main attractions, as they have a 'wild west' theme inside. The rustic looking wood theater looks small from the outside, however is very spacious and all on the inside! From the small trinkets to the gadgets from the 'old days' when people paid a nickle for a soda. The theater is very clean and is modern, as they have leather seats that are 'bouncy' allowing you to sit back and enjoy the movies. There is plenty of space in between the seats as well so you do not feel on top of one another. read more

OK, very-very cool. The Brownwood Paddock Square Center contains an amphitheater and other amenities meant to bring people together. It's a great venue surrounded by retail shopping, restaurants, etc. We drove around the square as a live musical group played songs and people watched from the covered seating areas. The entire area is meant to look like an old western hollywood set. I knew I would eventually see the Villages, and I was pleasantly surprised! read more

I always love coming to Brownwood. It's a nice place to walk around day or night, and there's a lot of variety in both shops and restaurants. Sometimes I bring my laptop to work at Dunkin' Donuts or one of the delis, and sometimes my husband and I come to have an evening out. Either way, we always enjoy our time at Brownwood. read more
