Went here for the first time today for my three year old's cut and had a great experience! I was able to book online same day which was great. Jamie was our stylist, I showed her a photo of what I was thinking of, and she nailed it. Will definitely be back! read more

Highly recommend! I know a barber what am I doing there to cut my hair BUT If a lady needs a haircut I would very much recommend Shannon , I told her I'm in your hands and she did an awesome job with my hair Thank you again Shannon read more

I've had a lot of bad haircuts in my time, and it is so refreshing to finally get a great service. I came here once, and I can confidently say this is my barbershop. I came in not quite knowing what I wanted, an I made sure to let my barber know that when I came in. I had some ideas about what I wanted, and Ashley was so patient and willing to work with me to get a cut Id be super happy with. The vibe in there is awesome; Very classic and rustic feeling. Every barber knows everyone, and it was so nice to see barbers being friends with their clients. I will be returning! read more

I love that the Barber Shoppe takes appointments. I have been to many barber shops and I feel like some times they rush you through because people are waiting and don't always listen to what you want. That's not the case at the Barber Shoppe. With that being said go on line and make an appointment they are often booked read more

Shannon was my barber. I only went there a few times. She cut my hair the way I asked. She is experienced and I recommend her. Making an appointment was easily completed on line. No complaints at all . read more

I have been looking for a great barber for years. Most seem to turn you away from the mirror and instead of listening to the client, cut your hair the way they like to cut hair, and when they turn you back to face the mirror there is a somewhat disappointing "surprise". My hair is wavy and gets out of control when it gets longer. It had gotten a LOT longer then usual. Instead of going to one of my prior barbers I opted to try The Barber Shoppe as one of the reviews mentioned cutting wavy hair on men. Brittany listened as I mentioned that I like to keep my hair a little longer than today's style. She kept me facing the mirror the entire time, so there was no bad surprise, instead there was the very happy result of knowing that I had finally found a barber that I will definitely be returning to, thanks Brittany. read more

Always get the best cut from Shannon O. I'll never go anywhere else! It's quick, affordable, and I always look my best when I leave.

I cut my own hair in the front and top but have a problem with the back of my head. I explained to Shannon what I wanted and she asked a few questions and she went to work. She did a fabulous job. She listened to what I wanted and got it right. I will definitely go back for my next cut. read more

Wanted to update my review: For four years I alway's enjoyed the best haircut and straight razor shave. I really enjoy "The Barber Shoppe", look forward going in. There's always a young energy, fun relaxed vibe going on. I recommend giving it a try! read more

If you're lookin' for a place to get a fresh cut, The Barber Shoppe is where you wanna be. Great staff, great atmosphere, and always a great experience. The first time I visited The Barber Shoppe, I had an appointment with Jamie for a cut and shampoo, and was ultimately looking for a style change. I came in with some pictures for reference, asked Jamie for her suggestions, and immediately we both agreed on the style. Jamie went straight to cuttin' and worked her magic. End result? Best cut I've had. I've been back a handful of times since, and the results have always been amazing. Each time, I've kind of been asking Jamie to tweak little things here and there based on what I've been learning about my hair with the new style, and immediately she knows how to modify the cut and take care of whatever I'd bring up to her. A true master of her craft! The products they use at The Barber Shoppe are top tier as well. I usually jump from one brand to another, trying to find the best products that work with my hair, but never really came across anything I was ever super satisfied with, until I swapped my entire line to the brands that Jamie introduced me to. Now my hair has been consistently healthy and happy. Thanks Jamie! Whomever you end up scheduling your next cut with at The Barber Shoppe, Jamie and her crew are the best, so you'll be sure to walk out lookin' great! read more

We moved to El Dorado County recently. Looked online for a place close to us to take our almost 3-year old for a haircut. He is used to sitting in big shiny cars for his haircuts. So when we took him to a regular barber shop, he wasn't as into it. So we found The Barber Shoppe in Cameron Park had a great review for a hair stylist. Her name is Shannon. And she was great with our 3-year old. She knew exactly how to communicate with him to put him at ease and to help him cooperate with her instructions. The haircut appointment went flawlessly. Our 3-year old had a seamless haircut and a great experience with Shannon. Thank you, Shannon! We'll be back! read more

I went for a third time, this time seeing Jamie again. I had an unexpected important business meeting on Thursday and needed a quick haircut. Fortunately Jamie had an opening in her schedule and was able to see me on Wednesday afternoon. This time I needed a slightly more complicated cut and brought in a photo to reference. Jamie did a great job with it, and as before, got the job done in a short amount of time along with a sideburns and eyebrow trim. I'm so happy with this shop. Jamie and Brittany are both great, and Jamie assured me that I can rely anyone there if neither of them are available (especially with my habit of booking last-minute appointments). See you again soon! read more

Yeah...it's a drive up here from Orangevale, but totally worth it! Val has now done my hair three times and each time is better than the last. She is always professional & personable. My only complaint is the same one I have had with my last barber in Palm Desert: Each time she leaves more grey hair than last time ! Aside from this, she is fantastic; I have no reason to doubt that all the stylists in the shop are as good. read more

Great place just get your reservation online. Britney is a good stylist but they all seem great

Maybe the best experience I've had at a barber shop! Other nearby competitors don't even come close! I walked-in without an appointment and they accommodated me despite how busy they were (I do recommend booking an appointment online). The shop was very clean; they have a nice kiosk up front for checking-in and accepting card payments. Yes, card payments! I was so happy to learn that it wasn't cash-only, like many other shops. Valerie cut my hair, and she was great! Very friendly, and didn't rush through the cut. Other shops have me in and out within 15-20 minutes, and this was more like 30-40. You might be looking for a quicker cut, but I REALLY appreciated that she didn't seem to be rushing and was very thorough. Haircut was $30, btw. She used a hot towel at the end of the cut, and even brushed some powder on my neck and ears (a new one for me) to help remove hairs and reduce the itch. Valerie ended up using some product that I really liked, a molding cream. I ended up buying some because my hair looked so great after she was done! She even took time to explain which direction my hairs grew, and the best way for me to comb to make them behave! Haha. Overall, it was a great experience. Goodbye old shop, I'm comin here now! read more

Jaime the owner is fantastic and super friendly! I've been going to get cuts from her for over ten years now (elsewhere obviously ). Her new shop has that retro- Barber Shoppe ambiance. Super cool! It's no Supercuts... way nicer ambiance... (she welcomes walk-ins too) ;-) read more

We love this place! Brittany gave my five-year-old the most fantastic undercut with stripes shaved on the side of her head. Went in for a last minute haircut today. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and I waited for maybe five minutes before being called back. Brittany cut my hair and, no joke, gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had.
