Where to start? Every time I walked in, nobody acknowledged me. I stood waiting for someone to…read moregreet me. I ended up going up to the staff requesting to be seated. The servers are disorganized and don't seem to know how to keep up with busy times. The manager walks around with a nasty hairy belly and wipes his nose over the food he delivers. This place is not welcoming or well run.

Well this is a hard one to write. You see I used to work for this family about 15-20 years ago at…read moreanother restaurant they owned. They had some very high standards as to the care they had the employees put into the job done. What happened here was very disappointing. I arrived early for an event being held in the adjoining business. I decided to stop in here and have a bite and drink prior to my other engagement. I entered and waited to be seated. The wait time was... OK, but unnecessary as the hostess and waitresses were all gabbing in the back. Eventually I was noticed and seated A standard booth with nothing special for design or decoration. My server arrived and I ordered my Ceaser and a jug of water. What I immediately noticed was the dirt, salt, etc that was all over my table. When my drink(notice singular) arrived, I asked for a rag to clean my table. The server got one and proceeded to wipe up the pile and a small spot. That's right, not even the whole table. She then proceeded to tell me that it was probably left over from breakfast time. (It was 6pm and no one has cleaned the table since then?) The thoughts running through my head! Well I sat for a while and eventually she came back to ask for my order. The "special" was ordered and I asked AGAIN for my draught jug of water. She promptly went and brought me back a pint glass of ice water. I made it through the "special" (a very plain burger that you pay extra for each individual "special topping"). Nothing really special. I asked for my bill and noticed that my total was that of approximately that of a regular menu burger so no money saved. So off I go to my event located elsewhere in the building. Seeing as that event has nothing to do with my visit to this restaurant, I will not add my thoughts on it. What I will say though is that when I left, I proceeded to leave through the front doors of the connected hotel which is owned by the same individuals. The topper of the night.... Being greeted at the hotel front doors by a RAT! Yep... A real live one . Running around at the front sliding doors running towards the doors of the restaurant. I got in my cab that eventually showed up and left. Off to another adventure.

The food is good, the quality is hit or miss.. For example the salad that I had on the side was actual mixed greens (not just your typical, cheap iceberg lettuce), which I was impressed with, but the cucumber slice on top was dried out. The food I ordered had a side of vegetables that you could tell were frozen vegetables. The prices and portions are decent. Beer is a little pricey. Presentation is really well done, with beautiful plates and bowls. Service is fairly attentive, last time I went on a slow night, the server was so attentive that i felt like she wanted me to leave. I had the grown-up grilled cheese with brie and pear. it was GREAT and included a side salad for 10.50$ My friend had poutine of the day (!) which was good and enormous, but unfortunately the fries are frozen, not fresh-cut. I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant and will likely go back again. I just hope that with time, they will transition to using fresh vegetables and fresh-cut fries rather than frozen. The patio and view from the deck in the summer is worth going to check out this new restaurant!

Super flavourful, refreshing, and unique. The food was just as impressive. I had the Brisket Burger, which was delicious--tangy, spicy, and packed with flavour. My wife ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower Sandwich and loved it. The cauliflower was crispy, perfectly cooked, and had just the right amount of kick. Staff is lovely too, accommodating and nice to talk to. Great beer, great food, and a chill vibe--definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

The space is very reminiscent of an old English/Irish pub. Located right in the heart of downtown St Catherine's, my wife and I were promptly welcomed in by the staff as if we were regulars. There was a good selection of in house brews, the bartender was quick to offer suggestions, but we let him know we were told to check out the blueberry wheat. We only had time to stay for one drink, but had a good time, the beer was great and we had a good chat with the bartender. Very frequently and welcoming. We only wish we'd had a time to go back and try some other beers. Hopefully we will get a chance to return one day
