I have a friend who got a job at Payday HCM and I just think, in the spirit of small business…read moresuccess, their story should be told. So my friend moved to Albuquerque from elsewhere due to family needs. They showed up with an extensive clerical background and excellent work history. Anyway they were essentially perfect for Payday HCM's needs and proceeded to apply for the job. They were not an HR or payroll specialist by any means and made that very clear throughout the hiring process. Payday HCM told them to rest assured that's not a problem, they were looking for a strong clerical background and highly organized mindset, which my friend certainly brought to the table. They consistently emphasized their robust training program and went as far as to say they'd receive two full weeks of intense training before even settling in. My friend thought that sounded awesome and when they were offered the position they excitedly accepted. ...So my friend starts and...well...no training at all lol! They're given a desk and the workload starts immediately piling in. At first my friend actually thought it might be a joke on the newby and just kinda went along with it for a few days trying to ask a lot of questions and get help. Well...LST it wasn't a joke, there was no training! My friend then approached some of the seasoned ladies in the office for help and was routinely told they were "too busy" to help them learn the job! So after a few days of this ridiculousness they approached the "manager or supervisor or whatever she called herself" and expressed concern that they weren't being trained and didn't know what to do! They told this person that they didn't know what they don't know and that excellent training was well emphasized throughout the hiring process as well as them consistently informing them that they'd definitely need the training. This person's response was, "we don't have time for training" LOL! My friend heard that and politely excused themselves, left and never returned lol! They said it was the most bizarre situation they'd ever encountered from a career standpoint. This company went through the effort of hiring them, well knowing that training was the hinge-pin of success, then...nothing. So if you're a small business operator about to hand the reins over to this bunch of morons, good luck you're going to need it lol! That's all I can say. Oh and BTW, my friend is now gainfully employed with an amazing firm somewhere else, as they deserve to be!

I had a meeting on a Tuesday with Gloria, she told me I was doing great she has no issues with my work. Ended on a great note. 2 Days later I get called into Nancy office HR. Said I was getting fired do to my quizzes and other. I asked others please explain. She said the mangers said my emails are not good and not handling the clients correctly, the same mangers that are telling me to my face I'm doing good. So I called them all out, I have monthly meeting with both mangers both ways I'm doing great and gave me more work. I did write a email asking for more explanation. Nancy still couldn't explain more. I asked is this because I'm gay and you found out because it's pride month. Still no explanation said they won't fight unemployment and just left it. Be careful with the mangers they are super close.

I reached out a few times in March/April to make sure he received all necessary information and documents, and he responded in May that it would just take a couple of weeks at most. The next I heard he had requested an extension (due to "covid")... this was late May. After sending multiple messages that were not responded to, in mid-July he messaged that he was away from the office and would contact me "Monday for sure." Sadly, this was the last correspondence from Gabe. Now it is mid-November, our tax filings were never prepared, and now subject to late penalties. I plan to take necessary action to remedy the situation, but would STRONGLY advise that anyone looking for a tax preparer look elsewhere.
