I fixed my mouth to fuss about the quantity of my chicken when it came to the table. That mf'n chicken was PERFECT. I'm going back for that alone. I had the lemon pepper wings. My date had the plain chicken and fries. It came with 3 large drumettes and fries for $9. Now I am not one to like or eat large chicken but it came piping hot and was seasoned and fried hard. Yallllllllll just trust me. Go and bite that damn chicken and the fries are delicious af too. Whatever they put on them makes it so no condiments are needed. The atmosphere was dope. It wasn't overly crowded. I loved that they acknowledged that we adhered to the theme of neon colors or costumes. The staff made sure we didn't chop nothing off and various staff checked in on us very often. My drink was drink'n and I can't wait to back. Notes: I would add descriptions under the drinks on the online menu so we can know what alcohol and mixers are in each drink. That not being there made me orders what I know I can drink and not try their drinks with cool names.

There are several different types of axes you can use and they demonstrate a couple of techniques; you just have to figure out what works for you. I highly recommend this!

Our Sunday group was a combination of a family of three, a mom and her young son and my group of 4 adults. The instructor had some excellent axe puns and humor- but his actual instruction was somewhat lacking. He never landed a single axe in the target during his demonstrations. The target area is a bit like a short archery range, two targets in each range and it had two ranges. It's a large fenced in area to prevent the occasional wild flying axe and a plywood back with more wooden targets overlaid on it with cement floors. We were instructed on how to do a two handed and one handed throw and then we played games to test our skills. I really did enjoy throwing an axe at some wood and that satisfying thud when I would land one in to the target. Overall I had a great time and I would love to go again with the right group of people. Things that disappointed me slightly were the axes themselves. They looked like inexpensive harbor freight hatchets that they didn't maintain or sharpen (hence the instructor not landing in the target when he demonstrated) The axes take a beating and when people are learning and they hit that cement floor- they get pretty banged up. I think they need to sharpen the ones they have or go out and get some new ones. The second thing that was mildly frustrating was the lack of food and beverages available. This is an athletic activity- you sweat, you move around. We did this for three hours and didn't have the opportunity to buy water. We had water in the car (thank goodness) but if you plan to do this grab a granola bar and some beverages. Ultimately I think this was a lot of fun - and I would love to do it again with a bit more planning and my group of friends.

They also offer laser tag, VR, a ropes course, and pickle ball. Walking in, there was a lot of open space. I assume the building was just huge. First we enjoyed the go-karting. This was my first time ever riding in electric go-karts! It was pretty fun and offered some challenge with the twists and turns. Visiting the bar, the manager tended to us. He was super friendly. He even stopped by during our axe throwing to provide me with one-on-one lessons for at least 10 minutes!! (I was terrible at first LOL). Eventually, I was able to hit the board (FINALLY!) even using one hand. Overall, AMP-UP seems like a fun place. I assume, in the warmer seasons, it can even more fun with the pickle ball open and access to the outdoor space might offer more natural light into the building. The staff were great, informative, and helpful. Thanks AMP-UP!

I really thought I was going to love this but in the end too many things bothered me about it…read more First, we had a reservation for 10 for the 3 hour adventure but didn't get started until almost 10:30. Some of that time was waiting for the last 2 people to show up which they did at 10 or few minutes after. After that we weren't sure what the hold up was. Sean was our guide. Perhaps he isn't really a "people person " or he was having a bad day. He didn't seem into it but the worst part was that he left us. After the 3 of the 5 sites we saw him only 1x maybe 2x. He gave us no indication that we were going to be on our own. One other guy did pass under us and asked if we were doing good but I think he was just passing by. I was with a friend and when either one of us had done zip line previously there were people to help or over see at each end of a line. Obviously this was different. So glad we didn't have an emergency. Another issue I had was the landing areas esp for site 2- the wood chips were built up so high, all 6 of the people in our ground fell or landed pretty hard. One lady thought her back was bleeding. The last 3 zip lines I didn't fall but it wasn't pretty site either I'm sure. Ha. I started in a group of 6 but then only my friend and I completed the last 2 sites. I don't think that had anything to do with our guide but was a more a reflection on those folks. Their platforms at the top of the trees are very small so when you reach the end of an "obstacle " it was hard to stand on platform to unhook from the cable. The bumpers (not sure of right term) extended too far away from the platform on quite few of the trees which added to difficulty. It was nice that they water at each of the sites. Also their store prices on items that you might need such as gloves were very reasonable. While we were completing site 5 we saw a deer right below us so that was cool. Tips: gloves with exposed fingertips are better especially if you want to take pictures, wear older clothes and look at as many pictures as you can find of the " adventures" so you know what to expect.

So much fun! We did the tree top adventure for my 60th bday and it was a blast! I felt safe and it…read morewas so memorable.
