I thought it was bad fluid, so sucked that out and replaced it, but no, not it. I checked the belts, they looked good, seemed tight to me. I finally stopped by the shop and told Trevor about it. Before I could finish describing the issue he said "The belt is loose". Faster than I can finish this post he had walked into the shop, gotten the proper tools to adjust it, and did so. He also sprayed the corrosion building up on my battery. This completely solved the issue, in less than 5 minutes. That being the case, we booked our appointment and dropped off the car. When we came to pick it up the next day, we were SHOCKED by the cost of the work. We had this car serviced regularly in Marin for years, and never were the bills even close to as expensive. Additionally, the owner, Trevor attempted to "scare" my wife into believing that she needed to have several additional repairs that they had found. What a Joke! When I called the very successful shop we used to take our cars to in Marin, and told the owner not only the cost of the service, but the other things that were described as "dangerous" by Trevor, he just laughed and told me we got robbed. He also and said that shops like this give his industry a bad name. Needless to say, we have not returned, and have also shared our experience with several others who have asked about auto repairs/service.

A few days later, I looked and the detailing/body kit of my car, where they needed to pull to replace the light, isn't even installed back properly & could have easily lost these expensive pieces. I brought my car in for another service of a different type the same day I noticed, to another shop in Ukiah. I asked if they could look at it and pop it back into place for me. I was worried I'd loose my body kit, and that the light wasn't in correctly. They explained to me that it wasn't installed properly & that my wires were hanging/dragging & exposed, causing me to have to replace that due to Gordon's not installing the replacement bulb correctly. We went first to O'Riley's to get a diagnostic test run (our mass air flow censor was messed up) then drove all over trying to find a mechanic. We pulled up and Fermiére (apologies if this is the improper spelling) showed us how to pull out and clean out the part we needed to free of charge. So generous and greatly appreciated by us, especially with how bad it could have been for us to be stranded there so far from home. We appreciated it so much!! Thank you Toscanos !!

On 19 October 2022 I dropped off the car to have a mass air flow sensor replaced. The car was…read morerunning fine at the time, just throwing a check engine light. I picked up the car on 21 October 2022, drove about a block, and had to return immediately as the car was not running well. I was promised the car numerous times, yet it was never ready. As time went by, and I still did not have the use of my car, I opted to take the car to another shop on 07 December 2022. This shop cut my MAF harness out, replaced it with something that did not even have the correct size wiring. (I have photos.) My original MAF & the wiring harness was not returned, so it took longer to get the correct part, as there was no original part to compare it to. Because of the incorrect size wiring on the MAF, the computer was throwing other codes as well. There was a problem with the replacement throttle position sensor, it wasn't matched to the car's computer correctly. This was a repair I did not authorize, and was not necessary. They had my car for 49 days. They didn't keep me updated, caused more problems with an inappropriate repair to the MAF sensor, replaced a part that was not faulty, and still didn't get my car running. DO NOT take your car here.
